I like it and pretty soon mine will be installed. I liked your use of the 'box-cutter' for shaving the throttle tube, looks much better than sand paper. Nice to see Simon wearing safety glasses. Hmmm!
Great video ty! I actually watched to learn how you ran the wiring 'under the chassis' - did you have to remove the top fairing covering the gas tank and or gas tank as well? Or just slide it under or something?
It’s unbelievable that ktm don’t supply heated grips as a add on, I’m just buying a new 390 adventure 2024 bike and my dealer won’t fit any aftermarket heated grips for warranty reasons ffs
Hi! know Oxford have a number of grips, But! did you get the Adventure grip or Sport ones? Because I have a Ktm 125 Duke 2022 And would love a pair of these grips, your insight would be awesome, thanks for your video and time. Salute from the UK
Hi Ezekielg! I used the Adventure grips because I prefer the feel of the slight "waffle" pattern for my fingers. They work great, you just have to trim them. They have a line on them that shows where you can safely trim them to and it's super easy to do with a sharp knife. Thanks for watching. Please don't forget to subscribe and hit thumbs up if you haven't already :)
Nice video... Thanks for sharing! Let us know how hot they get please. I am considering putting them on my 390 Adv as well, and I hope they would let me ride with the summer gloves (considering Spain is not nearly as cold as Canada). May I ask what are those levers? They are not the stock one... Are they KTM powerparts? are they any good?
Hi Pablo! I'll definitely do a review on the grips for you and I'll let you know how hot they get. The levers are KTM powerparts and they are good. I had a pretty good crash a few months ago and the clutch side lever pushed/hinged up without breaking. I'm sure the originals would have broken in the fall.
@@PabloSanzfit the proper metal hand guards instead of the flimsy supplied plastic ones, my friend dropped his bike in a low speed fall but broke his front brake lever the took out his attached front master cylinder
Hi Paul, thanks for watching! So far the auto shut off works perfectly for me. They don't shut off during ride, but do shut off after. However, I've only used them on two 25 minute rides as the snow is just melting off here. I'll comment further when I have a bit more experience with them.
@@nathanaelhewitt7839 Mine is not shutting down when it should and I'm coming back to my bike with a flat battery. I'll see if I can reset it some how and get it working as it should.
Thanks for your videos. They help me a lot.
Simon's awesome! Thanks for the video, very helpful👍

Safety first :). I'll be looking for a good dog passenger seat for him . . .

@@rockyroadadv thanks!!! my clutch level broke in a fall in the parking at 0kmh :) I'm looking for a replacement that is a bit more "resistant"

Which model you have used on your bike?
If I forget to turn them off will it kill the battery?
Hi David! No, they shut off when they sense the bike has stopped running. I very often don’t turn mine off and they work great!
