Then, you can offer them a chance to get a little revenge on you for tricking them, ask them to speak a language that they don't think you can speak. You're really great! We, Portuguese speakers understand Spanish perfectly. So while speaking spanish you told "fome" (portuguese word) but you got realize your mistake and quickly fixed that telling "hambre". Great!
