Man, your videos are very well done and always teach me a ton! You also make the fabricating look so easy. I'm looking forward to fabricating parts for my CB750 soon!
The Moto Barn thank you man, that really means a lot, a ton of work goes into making the videos and a little comment like this is why I spend extra time trying to make them extra cool. Thank you for the kind words and thank you for your support my bike building brother :) Any questions just ask.
You are by far the kindest person I have run across in this arena! Thank you for replying and being willing to help. I would love if you and anyone here would consider subscribing! I will be putting out my next video this weekend. I am just trying to get the ball rolling and every little bit helps. I will be referencing you and your channel to help in whatever little way that I can! Keep up the great work!
Cafe Racer Garage definitely your creativity and just seeing the build growing... I just enjoy watching your vids! Keep them coming cuz I'll watch them 100%
That's a nice bender! Very handy and perfect for projects like these. Almost sad actually, to hide such lovely craftmans work. But that's the whole idea I suppose. Well done Dan! :-)
Well, often when working on a bike I hear people say "hmm...that silvergrey engine should be black...but how to do without taking it all apart?" Any thoughts about that? Wiring tips could be another thing to look deeper into. Could be replacing some of those old, big things like relays that today are much smaller. LED lights on old bikes...speedometer from Motogadget? :-)
Those are some great Ideas you have John, I'm trying to do as many things I can that don't require me to hide the wiring because I plan on getting the frame powder coated and it will need to be stripped down, however I do need to dummy fit the components in place so maybe that can happen soon, as soon as the frame goes to powder coater so will the wheels and that's when I was going to work on the engine :)
Cracking little box there mate, that finger brake is really neat. AND, you use a "Triton Superjaws" type "vice' YES!!!!- I am always beating my gums at people fannying around trying hold stuff and cut grind it.Make your fabricatin ezier, safer and faster with a superjaws- and no, I don't sell em or have anything to do with folks who make em. On the wiring, I'm planning on going with the Motogadget stuff for my current build- its expensive -probably cost as much as the donor bike lol but I'm hoping it wil be worth it for the saving in wiring/fuse boxes etc.
Jaques Daniels haha 😂 I love my little vice setup with the superJaws, sounds like you should sell them, you would do very well 😁 lol Most of my workshop is designed to be tidy and easy to pack up if I need extra room to do other stuff so that’s why I don’t have a solid workbench in my garage apart from the motorcycle lift table, but that table is what started this whole bike building channel ;) I use Harvey the table saw as a workbench and it’s perfect 👌 Just don’t like working on the ground if I can help it, I know what you mean about people cutting and welding fannying around trying to hold stuff, it’s hard to watch lol I was on the motogadget website lastnight looking at what I need but to be honest I’m a little lost, the wiring is starting to freak me out. I just don’t know where to go next, it’s not my favourite job and I’ve thought about paying someone to just do that part but I like to try stuff myself first. 😮 🤞
Try the Revival Cycles vids for info on the the Motogadget stuff-explained by Stefan-bloke with a sleeping bag on his face LOL-th-cam.com/video/HNF-h6oBczg/w-d-xo.html
Coming along really nicely and really enjoy your approach to fabrication. Was in Sydney and Manley beach myself for a bit but now back home in Delaware USA. Prefer your weather this time of year for certain! Regards-
Thank you so much Gary, Yes it is a beautiful place here, and the US is also a beautiful place, I've been there 3 times now doing that main tourist stuff as well as road trips and camping in Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe, I'm very grateful that I get to travel so much because Its a big world out there, however, I love coming back home to my garage as im sure you do too lol, Bike building is an addiction i think lol :) Side note: If you know this area I have a question for you, I was thinking of doing a short Motovlog video riding alongside the beach here where I live on the Gold Coast, I will talk about things like my plans for the channel etc etc.. do you think that would be worth doing? It's a beautiful coastline here and its the middle of summer.
Gary A the Great Ocean Road is about 17 hours south of me and it’s beautiful but a bit far to ride. the Gold Coast is equally as beautiful however it is a little hard to see the beach from the road, I will still do a MotoVlog but also take my drone with me and share the view from above :) Keep an eye out for it in the coming weeks 👍
another great video mate. Just a suggestion of maybe getting a microphone clip on so it doesn’t pick up much background noise? Saying that the audio has improved a lot in this video mate. Keep it up 👍🏽
Charlie Power thank you brother, yeah I noticed that myself. I have a rode shotgun mic so I’m not sure why it’s picking up the birds and stuff that are in the trees outside maybe my DSLR mic settings need looking at otherwise I will switch to my lapel mic 👍
Looking really good. Loving watching your videos coz you really go into the details of your project. Just wanted to know are you using a gasless mig or one with Argon gas. Looking at purchasing my first welder for my cafe build and I’m not sure if I should invest in a gas bottle?
Trent Jarvis Great question mate, I use Gas always, Gasless welding is messy and you get a lot of spatter everywhere so it’s a bit of cleaning up to do later however it is cheaper so I understand it’s a good place to start. My advice is buy as big a mig as you can afford that can run gas, (mine is 172amp and that is way more than you need) than buy a small role of gasless wire if it doesn’t come with some, try welding without Gas first if you are happy with the results boom 💥 you have your answer. if you are not happy and it’s to messy for what you want, you still have that option to get Gas and Gas is wayyyy nicer to weld with. Hope that helps, thank you for the support. It’s the comments that I enjoy the most so feel free to comment as often as you want 😁
Trent Jarvis, go for gas set up boss. Gasless limits you to 0.9 wire and it runs hotter than gas cover wires. With gas, you can run 0.6 or 0.8 wire, stainless wire -you do not have to change gas- you can weld stainless with argon mix. Gasless makes more smoke and sparks than a drunk in charge of a BBQ and a lot of clean up is needed. Its good for outside work and/or welding cruddy rusty steel-but why would ya want to do that? -clean it up and use nice clean gas MIG. For any heavier stuff, a cheap Stick welder buzzbox will do-not as ezy to learn as MIG tho. Hope that helps bud.
cody cheney it was awesome thanks for asking Cody, I tend to travel a lot so plenty of Travel videos to come. I got that little guy online to be honest, the brand is Optimum and it’s great for small stuff.
Why wont you extend the wire on the starter relay ? That way youll be able to hide it anywhere you want. Also if youll decide to go with the metal box make sure that the red coded wire terminal at the relay does not touch the box because its going to short and blow the fuse.
Maadanchik Ugandovich Great question, short answer is I wanted to keep it as close to battery as possible otherwise I’d have 2 big thick wires and a cluster of other wires to hide and I also wanted to use my new plate bender. This box will become a small feature with Subtle laser cut Cafe Racer Garage Star logo welded to it at a later stage so it will look kinda cool 😎 I plan on lining the inside with something non conducive and also making sure the wires are fully covered. Thanx for the comment 😁
Thank you mate, I love to get comments like this, it inspires the crap out of me to share more of my build process, as long as I get comments and likes I will keep shooting and sharing my videos :) So a big thank you to you my bike building brother. :) Dan
Charlie Power thank you Charlie, I stopped the numbers because I didn’t think it was needed, however, I can still add the numbers if that makes it easier for you to find each video etc. I always love feedback 👍
Cafe Racer Garage personally I think it makes it better for people if they first found your videos, as they can follow the build chronologically, but it’s up to you mate.

Well made box and video! I like your style. Definitely need that drain hole at the bottom.
Thank you Moto Cafe. yes, it sure will. :)
That sir looks fecking cool! Attention to detail = level Boss!
iRidetas thank you my Taz bike building brother 😁
Pleasure mate. Its inspiring stuff brother. Well done!

Chris Loake thank you mate. I hav Loads of fabrication videos to keep you entertained:)
Cafe Racer Garage Good work. Looking forward to the rest 👍
PLEEEASE keep these coming!! Love the vids!
With comments like this, I will have to :) Thankyou and I'm glad you like them so much what is your favourite part of the videos?
Cafe Racer Garage definitely your creativity and just seeing the build growing... I just enjoy watching your vids! Keep them coming cuz I'll watch them 100%

John Mård Thank you 🙏 I’m struggling on what to do next. What area of the bike would you like to see me start work on next?

Looking good mang!

Jaques Daniels 100% agree with everything you just said and love the drunk bbq comment 😂🤣😂
I´m just wondering...why not doing these small fuse boxes out of fiberglass? That way you´d not have to be worried about a short...
Hey I hope you had a great holliday ! where did you get your metal break at ? That looks like it would be handy !
cody cheney it was awesome thanks for asking Cody, I tend to travel a lot so plenty of Travel videos to come.
I got that little guy online to be honest, the brand is Optimum and it’s great for small stuff.
Whats the material your using
Tom Widlake great question. It a 1.6mm plate mild steel
Have a good day. Any more questions just ask :)

By the way mate, just wanting to let you know if you didn’t notice that your most recent videos don’t have a video number👍🏽
Charlie Power thank you Charlie, I stopped the numbers because I didn’t think it was needed, however, I can still add the numbers if that makes it easier for you to find each video etc.
I always love feedback 👍

You have a very good point Charlie, I will take your amazing advice and ad Ep. numbers to the titles. thank you once again for the feedback. :)
