Because he will get hurt bad. He needs to learn strategic chamionships outside going fast now. (Patience) To know when its worth pressing the win vs staying safe for consistency grabbing chamionships.
Why not move up? Well because he and his family have his career path mapped out and he has goals set. Brian has been there and done that, he is a smart man and knows that there are levels to this game. Stay in each level as long as possible and gain experience and technique. It is how his career has been since his amateur days. No reason to change it just because everyone on the outside wants him to move up.
He should stay in 250 class til he accomplishes what he wants. I'm sure he has ridden a 450 many times and fully expect him to dominate. He's really young, so a little more time to mature will make him more comfy on the 450. He has a bright future if he doesn't get hurt badly.
I would imagine payouts are higher in the 450s and if it were purely a cash thing he would or could potentially come out even if he moved up. So it's likely a refinement of skills plus the accolades.
What can huge payout in 450 ciass if you're injured or disabled... It's a different level in 250 class he is dominating... At 18 he has house already having rented, it's earning not to mention his brand new Audi sports car.. Such a smart kid..
@nelsonv.enjambre8016 well there us the big question and decision. He could get hurt in the 250 or 450 class. I would think both have equal dangers but considering the riders in the 250s it may have the edge as to which might be more dangerous.
Also if Hunter can move up and be competitive there's no reason to think Deegan couldn't do similarly to Hunter. He may not be a shoe in for podiums and wins but he could potentially ride in the top 7 to top 4 consistently.
@@howardwest2707 just for a fact basing on his fastest laps if ever he will in 450class say for an instance if haiden will be upfront or in the holeshot then whoever it is it's time to eat dust..
It’s simple Deegan wants to win a 250 Supercross title and defend his number one plate for the outdoor nationals. He’s made that clear as Glass so why the question about him moving up to the 450 ? I know I’m not the only one that watches Deegans interviews. Plus, he needs a little more time to get stronger so he can do excellent on the 450. He’s 18 years old. There’s no rush.🤙✌️✊💯🫡🇺🇸
Deegan is more than capable of getting on a 450 right now and being top 3 in every race. And may just show, as RICKY CARMICHAEL DID, THAT HE CAN BEAT EVERYBODY. LETS TAKE AWAY JETT THO..BECAUSE NOBODY IS CAPABLE OF BEATING JETT AS HE IS THE BEST TO EVER THROWS HIS LEGS ACROSS A MOTOCROSS BIKE. IN THE HISTORY OF THE SPORT!!!!
Deegan should stay in 250 until he wins both coasts in supercross

Deegs is killin it in the 250 class, if it ain’t broken don’t fix it.
We love to see tomac and deegan tandem
Deegan will go down in history as one of the greatest SAND BAGGERS in the sport.
He's already been on a 450 for years already
Ya but not a factory one in race conditions
Riders hate the bike. When they can't win
Villopoto is 100% correct. The 450 is a big difference and he doesn’t want to take years before he gets adapted to the 450 class.

The bottom line is he is winning and earning huge in 250 class.. A great talented kid... Why in a rush? Racing and winning Smx easily...wow..

He's just a kid Mr computer man
Why move up and struggle to make top 5-10 s when you can stay at 250 and win championships and all the money while your body and mind mature
