- A&Z #1013 - Randy Santel and @DaGarbageDisposal each vs Shorty's Undefeated BBQ Sandwich Challenge at Shorty's Rib Shack in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. After canceling the rest of my planned Texas & Southwest USA Tour at the end of June 2021, I headed home and let my body rest and recover for about 1 month. Then I made the trip from Milwaukee, Wisconsin back to Springfield, Missouri so I could fully move the rest of my stuff out of my apartment I lived in while attending Missouri State University. I spent a week attempting 7 different food challenges within a reasonable driving distance from my apartment. For food challenge #4, I traveled down to Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and met up with my competitive eating friend Brandon "Da Garbage Disposal" Clark at Shorty's Rib Shack. There, we both attempted Shorty's 6lb undefeated BBQ sandwich challenge and had just 45 minutes to feast on one of the tastiest sandwiches I've ever eaten. There was a ~1lb King's Hawaiian sweet bread bun with lots of Shorty's juicy pulled pork topped with smoked turkey breast, thinly sliced beef brisket, and 1.5 links of sausage, all topped with Shorty's homemade barbecue sauce and creamy coleslaw. Brandon and I were trying to become the first two people to win our $50 6lb barbecue sandwiches free plus sweet t-shirts and spots on Shorty's Wall of Fame. BIG thanks to everyone with Shorty's Rib Shack for the fantastic food, dessert, drinks, and hospitality!! Thanks also to the amazing people who came up that evening in July to watch and meet Brandon and I!! Shorty's Rib Shack's Big 6lb BBQ Sandwich Challenge in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas ($50):
Shorty's Rib Shack has been serving the Mammoth Spring, Arkansas area for many years!!
Shorty's serves up many different smoked meats along with side items and a lot more!!
This big BBQ sandwich challenge had been available for a few years, but remained undefeated.
There is a ~1lb King's Hawaiian sweet bread bun that serves as the base of this epic sandwich.
There is lots of Shorty's juicy pulled pork topped with smoked turkey breast and thinly sliced beef brisket. There are 1.5 homemade sausage links split into halves, which are so delicious!!
You can pick which side you want covering all the meat on top. We both got creamy coleslaw.
You also get to pick which of Shorty's barbecue sauces you want on the sandwich as well.
There is a 45 minute time limit to finish everything. No other sides or desserts are included.
Winners earn the $50 BBQ sandwich meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on Wall of Fame.

‘Shut up and eat’ what every fan of Randy has been yelling during the challenge but went unheard. A few challenges were lost due to his commentary during the challenge but we love him anyways. Another great video and challenge beaten.
I agree on the talking costing him, but that's what makes his channel unique. He'll sacrifice an occasional loss for the sake of the viewers' inclusion. Love the fact that he eats like a human regardless of time constraints.
Think of them as digesting breaks lol
His live commentary is what we love anyways. He cares less about the time record as much as he cares about the win but ultimately he cares about sharing the experience.
I have to mute the sound in his videos. He seems to think I want to hear him talk and flex. I don't. I do however enjoy the food and places he brings to us.
I wish he would STFU. He ruins all his videos with his loud, obnoxious commentary.

I didn’t know what to expect as this is the first time I’ve seen Brandon. At the start when Randy says he is going to finish before first, I loved the way Brandon just looked at the camera, smiled and said nothing. Sometimes silence says more than words and so it proved to be. 😊

I grew up around Mammoth Spring. Love the park with the mini waterfall. I haven't been there in a few years but use to goto a restaurant called Grey Goose something another.
