Tempted to get one, (I owned a golf 6 that I loved in the last 8 years) still some people say that this little car is unconfortable on bumpy roads and especially for the road noise in long highway trips (the guy in this review say that unless you have 18 inch is ok but I am no way getting one with whells smaller than 17 inch) I went at the dealership to test drive it but here they make you test cars only 2 or 3 kms in high traffic roads, I have no way to see if this can be confortable for long trips... If someone that has one (especially with 17 or 18 inch wheels) can tell me this It would be really helpful... thanks!!!
I test drove the 30, 35 and 40 TFSI Competition, all with S Tronic boxes at the weekend to buy one for the Mrs. The 35 and 40 had 17 and 18 inch wheels, respectively. Due to Covid the sales guy couldn't come and so we got each car for as long as we wanted - took them all on everything from B Roads to Motorways (6 hours to test 3 cars!!). The best compromise between power and economy was the 35, which drove spot on with 17's on it - I did really test it hard on all roads! We ended up buying her an 8 month old, ex demo, 35TFSI S Line S Tronic with 17" wheels, tech pack, plus pack, privacy glass for a shade over £20K.
I've had a 30 TFSI S Tronic S Line since last December on standard alloys (17 in?). Personally I wouldn't say the ride is uncomfortable. There's certainly more road noise than other cars I've had but it's not terrible. Overall I'm very happy with it.
Have you driven both cars to compare ? If so what modules comparison? Suprised thought the Audi would of come up trumps as greater horse power? ??? Do you own a Fiesta? Have you actually driven both cars ?
