Great video. It's nice to see a well patronised regional passenger rail system. I liked early in the video where all the trains were coming into Southern Cross, I assume to bring commuters to work, etc. I realise that the trains aren't fast by European standards, but they're a lot faster than the regional trains in British Columbia, Canada, where I live. Oh wait, there are NO regional passenger trains in BC, a province over four times as big as Victoria!
Yes, they were bringing commuters in from as far as 2 hours away with our longest service being 4 and a half hours from Melbourne. Our top speed is 160kph, not fast by European standards but we are lucky to have political will in our government for providing a decent rail service. One day I will travel to Canada for a visit.

That is a new road construction. Interconnections with the city link freeway.
