pelvic splanchnic nerve (parasympathetic) is responsible for the erection of the penis by causing the vasodilation to the penile arteries and the blood will enter the corpora cavernosa and spongiosum which will cause the condition of erection, on the other hand the process of ejaculation that occurs after the emission is done by the somatic motor part of the pudendal nerve (somatic) which will cause the contraction of bulbocavernosum muscle (bulbospongiosum) so the process that the patient could lose is the erection not the ejaculation 14:50
