The holy grail is enough battery to run a fridge, AC and a few lights for 12 hours. Then be able to charge up in sun light to set up for the next night. Living in south Florida it would be a game changer for my family of 4.

Yeah, the AMP includes a 5Kwh battery. I'm not positive on the AC energy requirements, but I don't think it would do that. Probably more like 6 hours. You can add another 5Kwh battery to the system, and then you'd proably be able to run it for 12 hours.. but the solar would probably not be able to recharge fully. You might want to reach out to Aliner directly though.

This camper looks awesome and I love the EcoFlow integration!! I have several of their portable generators & 3 solar panels. I'm not a fan of jamming a cord through windows, dormers or door jambs. Rather than "wiggling" a cable into the camper somewhere, it seems like this was a big miss not having an outside port to be able to use a portable panel when parked in shade and needing to get your panel in the sun. Hoping an outside port is added sometime in the near future as not having one kind of defeats the purpose of having this wonderful solar system!

From what they said it would be fairly simply to change the connector of their portable solar panels, and simply unplug the one that's on the roof, and then plug the portable one into the zamp port. There are now 2 zamp ports on the aliner.

If I had the money, this is definitely the way I would want to go with this setup being standard from the manufacturer. A camper that can fit in the garage, be towed by a minivan, and no propane.
Just needs a double bunk over the dinette to sleep 4 and they absolutely need the option to plug in portable solar panels for keeping the camper in the shade using MC4 or SAE connectors. No need for expensive brand solar panels. That Ecoflow can take a ton of solar.

Thanks for sharing. This model does have propane on board to power the furnace and 3-way fridge. Definitely agree for the need to be able to plugin a portable solar panels. Still, very innovative model.

@@GoldenK9Campers oh ok, I missed that. Thank you for clarifying. Seems a little odd though to have such an expensive and capable solar battery system and still have a 3 way fridge when they went electric with the water heater. 12V fridges are very simple and don’t draw much power at all. I can understand the need for a backup heater though. Electric heat pumps work well down to 40F, but if it is colder or you run low on power then yeah you need something else, although maybe they could have simplified that too with a diesel heater.

Our fridge running on propane works so well. And given they have it.. why not use it. I love our furnace for the heat, hate it for the noise. Propex makes a great unit.. that's quiet. I wouldn't add diesel to the mix for sure.. Yuck. @@TumnusMr

Add a Zamp connection for an aux panel. Duh!

So if one wanted to carry a back up dual fuel generator to run the AC and charge the ecoflow battery at the same time what size generator would be needed. I live in Florida and running the AC all the time is really a necessity.

The ALiner's Command AC Heatpump units are really efficient, their starup loads typically don't exceed 1500w, and run about 800-1000W. I really don't think you'd need more than a 2500W generator to both run the camper and also charge the battery.

I would be interested in looking at the specs of the Eco-Flow system. I went to their website the other day looking for a 5KWh system it could only find the Delta models. 😁

Look for 5kwh Power Kit under Solutions.

Me too. If you go to ecoflow.com and click on solutions you can see the power hub and the other components. Their definitely working with other RV manufacturers in their built in power solutions.

Great video. Somehow the comment at around 12 minutes is hard to believe. The comment said it would take 2 hours and 43 minutes to fully charge the battery. If you could really get 800 watts out of the solar panels it would take a LOT more than that to charge the battery from empty to fully charged. If they actually put out 0.8 KWh/hour and the battery is 5 KWH it would take 6.25 hours under absolutely ideal conditions. But I bet you couldn't charge the battery in a single day because the panels don't track the sun and the angle drops during the day.
Switching to an electric water heater (on demand) and an electric stove puts a lot of drain on the battery that could have instead been accommodated by propane. Just wait until you have to go to a $250/hour technician for repairs. I doubt if there are any repairmen who work on Aliners who would be able to diagnose and repair future problems with this system--too high tech. But most low-tech Aliner repairmen could replace a propane stove and a water heater.
It will be interesting to see how this all works out. Note they never addressed the lunacy of painting the exterior aluminum trim black and using black panel covers. All these are counterproductive to being able to keep the interior cool in environments where sun might be readily available (and cooking the interior of the Aliner).

Comment was shore power and it is a 48 volt systens so it is more efficent and faster charging

This is a very modular setup. I doubt very many parts are hardwired and are most likely standard plug devices so the owner could easily swap out parts. No worries about propane leaks and cooking on propane inside puts out a lot of heat and water vapor into that small space.

At the end they did address the color of the unit. It's going to be white vs the dark grey. Thanks for sharing Brian.

Something that caught my eye was the fact that it was only pulling 106 watts from the panels at 94% SOC.
I guess the 6.xx kWhr used was cumulative data & not something that reset every day.
