I used to press all the direction buttons (left on controller) and throwing ball very slowly, maybe at 3 kmph. Yeah thats cheating and computer becomes very frustrated and swings bat many times. Oh childhood memories
I never did learn how to properly play this game. But I do remember one wierd trick in which you held down all the direction controls and throw the ball, then the ball would be thrown in an impossibly slow speed.

Wow that's a game that has time has NOT been kind to. JK. I remember all the crazy old sports games, BUT Tecmo Super Bowl was our light at the end of the tunnel. The first game to save stats and one of the first to have the NFLPA players. I loved it. Then Tecmo NBA B-Ball hit. Those were some great times. I had ALWAYS WANTED A Tecmo MLB Baseball game. It bummed me out that it never came.
I think I activated a sort of special trick once while I was pitching. The ball was pitched making it moving with a "left curve, right curve, left curve, ...." pattern. I never learnt how to do that again. I also never learnt how to select witch base player move. No game manual and no Internet made these situations happen frequently at those times.

This game taught me a lot about the rules of baseball.
The amazing feeling when you realize something like this is buried deep in your memory still after all these years!
I don't know why, but whenever I play this game as a kid I can never stop laughing. Either the animations or the sound are hilarious to my young self.
I use to play with my brother. My brother used to play like pro and I'm like just watch him and not even score once.. 🤣

The introduction theme to this game is the same one that was used three years later in Pro Wrestling for the same system and developer.
