btw you can attach stuff to the top of your backpack and use them with the hotkeys c (left) and v (right), makes placing rails way easier

I'm so glad astroneer is starting to get more popular on YT, cause it's such a fun game.
My favorite way of reaching the core was to build a monorail way. It's a bit of an investment, but it's convenient af especially cuz the monorail nodes stick to walls and ceiling so you can get up to all kinds of shenanigans.

You don't need a station to have a train function, a station is only needed for automatic unloading of goods. Just need to connect power to the rail line and put an engine on it.
