I made double doors with glass! So happy with this, the studio build is really taking shape 😀
Thank you for watching!

Love love love what you said at the end of this video!! So true that so many people are selling themselves short in modern society. Sad to see. Great to see you bucking the trend and refusing to conform. Thanks so much for your bravery Nelferch.
The doors are beautiful! You did such a nice job on them!
Love watching this, something for everybody, doors turned out great, thanks for sharing 👍
That cat does not look malnourished 😆, if it's like any cat I have ever known, it's probably being fed by half the neighbourhood 😁.
Those doors turned out really great, I'm envious of your glazing skills - my puttying never looked that neat!
Thanks so much! And yes, I’m now less sure the cat is a stray 😆 but will still keep an eye on him/her just in case!
The doors are fantastic! Well done. Hope Spring gets going soon for you.
Amazing effort for the doors, 9/10 for the first one and 9.75/10 for the second one! (11/10 for effort though!) For a first effort and only the experience doing the windows before this, top notch, outstanding, etc etc... As with the windows you will notice that the bits you thought were bad look way less bad when its finished and anyone passing will likely never even notice the bit that seemed poor at first.
I hope the people watching realise how easy it would be to make this too big, too small, too flimsy, too many gaps, not square, and on the second door to get the two door leafs (the leaf is just one side of a door that opens) to meet up straight at the right point in the middle is a challenge if lacking experience.
Lets not forget she didnt show the cutting of the glass this time, but has had to learn that too and probably do it for all this glass in these doors, as with the windows.
The windows were great too, your puttying is excellent, I like doing putty as once you get the simple technique its easy to make it good. The bit that makes me cringe is hammering against the glass, prob because I have broken a couple doing that, so I would put thin cardboard against the glass to stop me worrying.
I did window fitting and manufacturing for abt 15 yrs, upvc and wood, and I am not quite complimenting you as much as you deserve. Very well done. 😁
Your doors are just beautiful. Like someone else mentioned, I’m curious how you managed the joinery on the muntins. I’m also curious to see what hardware you use for these double doors. ❤
Thank you 😊
How did you make all those joinery points/pieces on those doors. Very amazing for someone who "doesn't know what she's doing ". ❤
Thanks for your interest! It’s funny, I left that bit out because I didn’t think it was interesting and people are asking about it now! 😆
If you really want to know how I did it this is it: I cut the vertical pieces of wood to just less than the inside door frame measurement, same for horizontal pieces. I made a lap joint at the corners and for the middle bar. I cut (lots of!) rebates, on where the doors meet so they fit together, around where the boards slotted in, around where the glass will fit, and I cut sash bar (a type of window timber) for the top. It was lots of noisy circular saw and me standing around staring at wood so didn’t make for great watching! (or so I thought 😂)
Anyway, thank you so much for your interest and support! 😊🙏
