I have a Renault Laguna with f4p engine sounding like that diesel sound, only in idle though. It has a cylinder with bad compression, and i believe the bearings to be worn also, so in idle the the oil pressure is not reaching the last cam so it nocks. It helps a little to put on a heavier oil, i believe that it does not run as much past the crank bearings, but it don't go away.
I had a crazy noise which turned out to be the air box. Leaking oil had deteriorated the rubber grommets that dampen sound. The box was bouncing off the scuttle

I have the same problem in my car 1.6 hdi partner i change the shaft cam 3 time its working a few months then the sound come back when the engine take 30 or 40 minutes of road but when i stop engine and he come cold he didn't make any sound until spending 30 min of driving again any solution please
Does the noise stop when you accelerate?. I have a similar noise in a 1.6 tdci (same engine) but it stops if you accelerate. Not sure if is oil pump related or only a noisy tappet.
Record a video. I changed tappets too, as I thought problem was in them. It used to stop in beginning, but eventually it got worse with acceleration as an oil was probably stuck on the bottom of the engine since it wasn't pumped up to the top. Use screwdriver and put it on the top of engine block and put your ear on it. If you her metal noise on the top, it's tappets. But I think your problem is an oil pump. As that is very common problem with 1.6 diesel engine.

Bad Injector, leaking... i hawe 1.6 hdi 80kw...same noise for two year... now solved problem. Remove all 4 injector and repair in bosch service. Now sound like new👍
Dexter Tan Oil pump. After replacing oil pump everything seemed to be back to normal. After that I replaced injector seals too. Now it works like a petrol engine.🙂
@@calinczy it was just a noise. I guess oil pressure lamp starts only when you're low on oil. This repair will cost you from 200-300EUR. Most expensive repair I had with this car.
I'm not so sure, probably around 200 000km, but that doesn't mean anything because oil pump can get stuck at 30k. I sold this car 9 months ago, but it was always 5w30 Total oil like it was recommended.

Svakako diesel. Motor 2.0 je odlican ukoliko ga mozete pronaci, jer je pretezno 1.6tdi na trzistu. Isto tako i 1.6tdi je jako dobar i mali potrosac, ali preporuka je kupiti ispod 140 000km sa originalnom kilometrazom i servisnom. Moj 1.6tdi nikad nije prelazio 6.8l potrosnje u gustoj gradskoj zoni.

The heat shield
This was mechanical "noise". It was an oil pump that made this noise.

Did you prime the tappets with oil? Just did this tonight, fingers crossed it fixes my issue.
