Happy Veterans Day man!! I have the Ragnar, it´s one of my favorite ships in the game. Every time I´ve played it, I´ve always said to myself that it would have been cool if it had smoke and torps, OP but cool...and now the Svea is here!! True, it´s not a DD, but close enough for me. I´m hoping to get enough steel in the Snow Flake Event next patch to get it.
Looking forward to this ship from the moment it came out, but waiting for the coupon. The Torps are identical to the Ostergotland. This is the T11 Ragnar, really like to see how it runs with IFHE.

Svea is an amazing ship and even better when used by someone who is using it like a cruiser is supposed to be used in a support role for the DD and information gathering for the team while still putting fire down range. *Not sure if the Schlieffen has been dethroned so much as people are not building it right. IFHE is a great example. Sounds good with the extra pen but in reality how much of the enemy team is it helping against? Normal HE chance while not running IFHE and add a % point in with the captain skill for fire chance and you are a fire starting machine. I run without the extra heal and damage control party on my 4 point skill also and put those points in AA for 2 points and shell loader to change from AP to HE quickly at 1 point. Full on DPM build with a great fire chance. Between that build and actually playing it like a battle cruiser and using islands and picking when to charge in and letting the secondaries and torps go I feel that is the way to play the German brawling BB's. I like to get in close to the cap or group of enemies behind an island. Know what ships you are facing and don't give up the angle for a full broadside or torps so know the enemy ships and what you are up against. Turn on the hydro and pick your first victim and charge in. Let the secondaries and torps go while the main guns clean it up. If the game does have a CV in it or hybrid the extra skill in AA usually is enough to keep the planes away or at least to deter them for awhile. I also look for the Libertard to eventually be nerfed. I hope I get it before it is and get a few games in it first though. I like brawling BB's. My first one was my Georgia and I still love that ship.
Oh man you gotta try Wild Weasel Shima, it’s totally different to how you think Shima play style is. F3s with low reaction time, that don’t spread much and reload not much slower than a Halland. And the stalk is awesome fun. Baiting the radar then using the down time to get in n get out. Prints dev strikes, I’ve had a double BB dev strike in one ranked game from one salvo.

well... ragnar's guns, kinda... ragnar has got faster reload, svea more guns. i think it's about total 70 shells per minute ragnar vs 90+ svea. but ragnar's got way better dispersion as well. guns wise not sure if i wouldn't just prefer ragnar's. not a massive difference either way but svea being a cruiser seems underpowered to me

It’s hard for me to play shima, I don’t like shima that much and I’m usually the hunting them down haha
Pinched a sub between my DD and the shore then used the depth charges to good effect in one game

Stalingrad is way better, but if you like the radar smoke combo smolensk style gameplay then this one.
