How come you keep gravel in the bottom of the pond? Won’t it be harder to keep the pond clean/harbour bad bacteria?

If you just put a bit in about 2" deep it helps with the good bacteria gives it more are to grow and help keep your pond looking good I have had no problems with it water is as clear as glass and my water test results are 0 no matter what I do to much gravel and you get problems gives the koi something to do it get hoovered once a week
