As far as I understand in WH40K lore, Terminator suits are supposed to be significantly bigger than regular space marine armour sets, like the intercessor. I don't mind that the new Terminators are so much larger than the old ones. I recently started collecting Joytoy figures and have the Terminator set and Captain on the way :)
I didn't think Primaris marines could not fit in regular Terminator armour in the same way Primaris cannot fit into certain vehicles - they are just too tall. Primaris would need new Terminator armour built from Belisarius Cawl's project. I'm not sure how GW have written this in.
Both the old and the new design have something unique in terms of details, be it additional decorations like wiring or emblems on the old terminator or special function like rotation of the cannon for the new one. Personally I like the new one more since it is generally bigger and has better proportion, also it has has distinctive knee pad armor section which looks just better.
Hi i watched your video on the 3 variants. Im checking them out all day and the shading on some is so much better than others, it seems the ones that have more equipment are painted to a lesser quantity than the others.
Terminators are supposed to be big and bulky, but it’s still a suit a regular marine can wear. These new ones are definitely oversized, even the largest intercessors and characters don’t look like they could wear these. A terminator is a suit like regular power armor, not a mech like the centurions and paragons.
Thanks for the detailed review - in my head canon the OG terminators are just firstborn, while the new ones are "adapted" variants for bigger primaris marines. Man, I would really love to have upgrade kits for the skinny legs in the OG terminators ... It seems that you can swap the OG belt and legs with the same section from the new one ... did you try it?

@@user936 new Terminators are meant to be generation agnostic. It's for both firstborn and primaris.
It seems like the primaris sarge torso is twisted to the back 😅

Maybe joytoy decided to make all new stuff a bit bigger lol

Is it still worth to buy Blood Angel Assault Terimes? Since i've seen BA Termies with new mold. I am really confused which one i'll choose
how about a comparison between the new terminators of joytoy and MacFarlane. They are both new 10th edition terminators
