@@rehan2118 because Raj Babbar would have become Amitabh's boss(manager)in the movie Namakhalaal,this was not accepted by Amitabh's heart at any cost...He could accept Shashi as his manager (because he belonged to renowned Kapoor family) and also he was elder to Amitabh and friend of Amitabh(because both had done many films together)

I first watched him in Arpaan and he was a nasty character to Reena Roy's character. I could never watch him after that.
Yes i watched his many films b4 disliking him after watching him Aitbaar. But i recovered after some time i especially remembered him for Nikaah. He was absolutely nasty in Insaf ka Tarazu. I never watched that film bcs i am scared of thinking of those scenes and visualizing Raj ji performing it.
But i am a great fan of this kind and gentleman.

No doubt Raj Babbar was a very good actor but appreciating Salim khan even after 45years is a great thing in itself. Shows his humility and sense of acknowledgement towards ppl who made him big.
And coming to salim khan.. he has been generous to many artists and actors and have made careers of many stars (including Amitabh).
N just like him his son salman khan has been the godfather of many many actor actresses singers artists in the industry.

From my Point Of View the Producer of Namak Halaal had Raj Babbar replaced and the Distributors told Prakash Mehra that if Shashi Kapoor was signed for the Role the Film would sell for a lot of Money

My question is that people say that Raj Babbar had spelled out that it was Amitabh Bachchan who had refused to work with Raj Babbar.
I would ask that why a superhit superstar person like Amitabh would refuse to work with a new comer like Raj Babbar who had only 100 rupees in his pocket and no hit movies or stardom in his credit. He was rejected from namak halal because he was not saleable actor that time and in a big movie like namak halal, alongwith Amitabh, some popular face like sashi Kapoor was much prefered actor.
Well - there must be some reason - can you imagine Navin Nischol had refused to work with Amitabh Bachchan when Amitabh was new and struggling. Later they got together in Desh Premee and Navin Nischol was almost done by then. So, superstars can and do refuse to work with people (even new comers) for whatever reason.
@@HB-kp2dh that's what I am saying that Raj Babbar was nat a saleable actor in namak halal times, so it was not that Amitabh was scared of his personality or acting skills and all that, secondly Navin nischal might have rejected to work with Amitabh because he himself was not established that time and Amitabh was very dashing and good actor from the day one

@@ketanthakker5727 - I beg to differ. Amitabh was not dashing and sellable from day one. He did go through his struggles - you should see his old movies like Mili, Raaste Ka Pathar, Kasauti etc. He made it big after he got his chance in Zanjeer. Navin Nischol refused to work with Amitabh, because he head got too big from his success. As for Raj Babbar, I would not say he is in Amitabh's league, but when he started out there was a lot of buzz around him becoming the big actor. I still remember those 555 ads that he did back then along with string of hits that he had within short span of time.
@@HB-kp2dh Any actor can sparkle for some times but only those survive who have excellence in their work. And let me tell you in mili , Amitabh did a splendid job. Navin nischal was a one movie wonder while Amitabh is still a lambi race ka ghoda.he just took some time to take off, but once his talent was recognised in zanjeer, there was no looking back. And for Raj Babbar , I have no comments to make. We all can see where Amitabh is and where Raj is standing.

I was merely referring to Amitabh's struggles and how an actor refused to work with him. Similarly it is quite plausible that Amitabh refused or got work denied to Raj Babbar. So, that's all. Lets not go tangential on the point that was being made here.

very true...this issue with AB goes along way back. in Hera Pheri AB intentionally hurt Vinod during a scene bevasue he was a low life phuddhuu and jealous that Vinod is getting same screen time and he ismaking his presence felt throughout movie. same again in Khoon Pasina, Vinod signed film as he was meant to be man hero and lead, but AB intervened and forced to change script so he is main hero, Vinod being a man approached PM and said wtf is this, you backbited me you ugly mf....somehow he agreed forsecond lead but from then on he took higher money then amitabh that was agreed. throughout his films with AB most of his scenes are cut because of prick AB. Shatrughan Sinha was another actor that amitabh tried to sideline but SS stopped working with him for this very reason. Look at Kaala Patthar, in terms of good acting and screen presence SS stole the show and he dies at the end but his scenes weere cut. imagine if those scenes were added...image the audinece praise, the impact of Mangals portrait and possibly best actor or best villian nominations as SS`s one liner dialogues were just too good for AB to handle, that was the icing on the cake. Then again in Dostana, despite having second lead role and with fil almost focusing on AB, SS just manages to make an impact as much as the lead man, in the 2nd half he almos stole the show again.

We grow up watching his movies and always saw him like among the best actors ,not shore why they called him flop actor bla bla ,i just remember how we used to enjoy his movies like we enjoy other good actors. If Amitabh was a good person, then why all the old timers who have worked with Amitabh today ended up saying bad things about him? Kadar khan, Salim khan, both of them have written Amitabh’s film and are the biggest contributors to Amitabh Career but ended up saying the same thing about him on how his ego got bigger after success. Prakash Mehra is another example of being betrayed. Then you have actors who have openly mentioned Amitabh’s name and how he tried to Jeopardise their career. Vinod Khanna, Dharmendra, Shatrughn Sinha, Rishi Kapoor all had issues with Amitabh but never had issues with each other, why? Not to mention, Mithun and Raj Babbar stories. Simply because Amitabh Bachhan bought the culture of getting roles of supporting actors cut and taking the credit away in a multi-starred film. Before him , it never used to happen. He bought the tendency of totally dominating the supporting cast. Vinod Khanna even mentioned in one of his interviews about how he was shocked to see his screen time cut and scenes deleted in Films like Muqddar ka sikandar and khoon pasina.
