Being presumably the oldest and wisest Elf left in Middle Earth at that point, Sauron feared her most of all. She is always written as having one of the strongest gifts of insight of any of the Elves, as far back as when she lived in Aman, she could see through the deceits of Morgoth whereas her kin fell under his sway. She did not care about his motives, and hated him all the more for leading the fight against the Teleri, her mother's people. She never _asked_ Sauron for one of the rings, it was entrusted to her by Celebrimbor for safe keeping due to her power and significance. @Interstellar Overdrive It has nothing to do with trolling, slimo! I'm making a valid point about nations and borders and culture. Take any nation, whether Hungary or Egypt or Japan -- if you bring in a horde of migrants, the character of that nation will be changed. It's funny how you libtards can see the value of well-protected borders when it comes to Lothlorien (otherwise it would stop being Lothlorien almost overnight) but not in the real World!
@@theexile6605 only orcs are not actually comparable to inmigrants because orcs don't want to find better jobs or a better place to live, orcs are not interesting in cultural mixture or making a nation more rich by exchanging knowledge. they are degenerated creaturez fabricated by sauron out of torturing and destroying elves who only want to destroy and kill everything that is alive. bur see how the elves have no problem in letting other races like hobbits, humans or even dwarfs( despite the feud between theif species) inside their borders and share their knowledge with them.
Man ammen toltha i dan hen morn, Si dannatha nauva, Melmemma noren sina, Nur ala aero nur. Who brings to us this token of doom, The darkness shall now come, Our love for this land, Is as deep as the depths of the sea. Ela i ca, Nenya sina Corma uhatima, I haryanye. Behold the light, Nenya is this, Ring unbreakable, That I possess. . The Lady of the Light, Galadriel, spoke these words when a Company, such as never seen before, entered the woods of Lothlorien and Caras Galadhon; the last stronghold of Elves that truly resembled the First Age. It was a place where time seemed to be expelled. Emotions were older and deeper. Some of the smallest of the Company said, 'more magical' - whatever they meant by that. We knew the coming of this company meant our fate had at last been sealed with that of the Weapon of the Enemy. A greater evil had not been felt in Lothlorien, yet it was but a glimpse of what would come, should the Ring Bearer fail. They had the favour of the Lady however, and as such the favour of all Elves and Men and other Free Peoples of Middle Earth that withstood the darkness that was at hand. So we gifted them with whatever they could use along their journey. All gifts fitting for their stature and quality. All but for one. A Dwarf, one of the more noble line of Durin, with whom we had not had any dealings for many years as reckoned by men. His request to the Lady was extraordinary; three threads of her golden hair, declaring that all gold and riches of the Earth fell utterly short of her beauty. Such words we never expected to hear from any, least of all from a Dwarf. Surely there must be more to Dwarves than we have yet understood. And this, however small, is a hopeful thought. If Dwarves can be so noble, then perhaps such small a Ring Bearer such as the Halfling could accomplish the impossible. Our prayers are with them. May Eru bless their quest, for the sake of all Free Peoples of Arda.
Lothlorien lacks Diversity!! It's White Elf Privilege!! SJW's demand that you let in lots of Orcs!! After all, as the argument goes, those Orcs are only "fleeing the violence" in Mordor, so the Lothlorien elves have to let them in! Right?
@Cliven Longsight Well isn't that the standard current libtard belief, that "Diversity is our strength?" So why shouldn't the Elves just let the Orcs (not to mention all the other races of men, dwarves, halflings) come right in? Anything else would be "Racist!!" What's the problem, finding it hard to reconcile the internal contradictions in your beliefs?? Ha. Enjoy! Of course, then it wouldn't be Lothlorien anymore, would it? Cheers.
@Cliven Longsight We disagree. I've been over this before on other threads, but my main point is that uncontrolled mass immigration ineluctably leads to a debasement of whatever culture and society exists in a given nation, whether it is Hungary, Egypt, Switzerland, Japan, etc.. As an example, I have a high regard for Hungarians and a high regard for the Swiss, but I wouldn't want to see millions of Hungarians flood into Switzerland or vice-versa. As for my "lack of higher intelligence," my SAT and GRE test scores place me in the top 1% nationwide (I qualify easily for Mensa with either score), I graduated Stuyvesant H.S. in NYC and Columbia University, plus the best graduate program in the nation for my field. Can you say the same? As for the issue of "tribalism," it is you libtards who hate conservatives with a passion rarely surpassed in all of human history. Whether you are assaulting conservative speakers on campus or just people wearing Trump hats, you not only hate but are unable to control your hatred sufficiently to behave within legal boundaries. Disgraceful and contemptible. Moreover, in America it is the leftists who have pushed identity politics and tribalism in all its forms for 50 years. It was bound to cause a reaction of some kind. Lastly, materialism is hardly a right-wing concept, it is often associated with the left and Marxists. For all you know, I could be an Idealist. Many conservatives are.
@@moonlight_scribe I'm not saying that *any* race is innately evil, it's only an analogy of sorts to make a point. However, you also might like to look at the murder rates in Mexico and Central America to get a better idea of what we're dealing with. Leaping lizards! The last time I checked, the TOTAL number of annual murders in small Hispanic countries like El Salvador or Honduras is *each* higher than the TOTAL number of annual murders in China! *China* , with over 1.4 BILLION people!! Not to mention the amazingly high levels of all kinds of other crimes that go on south of our border.

I just finished the Fellowship of the Ring novel. I felt Tolkein's description of Lothlorien was so peaceful and enchanting. It was my favorite part of the book. I now really want to watch the movie Thank you for this calming ambience!
Lothlórien: The fairest Elf-kingdom remaining on Middle-earth at the time of the War of the Ring, the domain of Galadriel and Celeborn. The name means “the land of blossoms dreaming.” Lothlórien is also known as Lórien (perhaps meaning “dreamland”), and Laurelindórenan (“the valley of the singing gold”). The domain echoes both Doriath, the domain of Thingol and Melian in Beleriand, and the Garden of Lórien in Valinor, whose trees Melian once tended. Lothlórien is largely inspired by the ancient Celtic tradition of enchanted forests ruled by “white ladies.” This enchanted forest of goldenleaved, silver-barked mallorn trees is protected by the power of the white-clad Galadriel, the possessor of Nenya, the White Ring of Adamant and Water. Using the power of the ring, Galadriel is able to keep her domain out of time, in a state of perpetual spring, immune to death and decay -a trope that allies it to many mythological paradises. Such Celtic otherworlds were considered both potentially perilous and places of rest and healing. This ambiguity can be glimpsed in some views of Lothlórien in The Lord of the Rings, where the people of Gondor and Rohan are depicted as deeply suspicious of it and its ruler. Of the Golden Wood Boromir remarks, “few come out who once go in; and of that few none have escaped unscathed.” Aragorn reproves this judgment, replacing “unscathed” with “unchanged.” For the Fellowship of the Ring, it provides a place not only of rest and healing but also transformation, as we see in the Dwarf Gimli’s change of heart in relation to the Elves. Galadriel: A Noldor noblewoman, only daughter of Finarfin, and, in The Lord of the Rings, the ruler of the enchanted Elven realm of Lothlórien, “the land of blossoms dreaming.” In that hidden wooded land, robed in white and golden-haired, she commands great powers of enchantment and prophecy. In ancient Welsh mythology we find forest and water nymphs who closely resemble Galadriel, the guardians of sacred fountains, wells, and grottoes hidden in deep forest vales. Like Tolkien’s “Lady of Light,” White Ladies have eyes like stars and bodies that shimmer with light, betokening their close affinity with the starlit night. To reach their realms it is commonly necessary to pass through or across water that was-as is said when the Fellowship cross over a river into Lothlórien-“like crossing a bridge in time.” These White Ladies often lived in realms “outside of time” in crystal palaces beneath water or floating in air, all glowing with silver and golden light. In Arthurian tradition, Vivien, the Lady of the Lake and perhaps in origin a Celtic White Lady herself, rises dressed in white from her palace beneath the lake to present the sword and scabbard of Excalibur to the rightful king. Vivien also raises Lancelot du Lac before sending him into the world with the arms of war. We might see a similar figure in Greek mythology, the sea nymph Thetis, mother of Achilles, the greatest hero of the Trojan War, who gifts her son with his armor. Across cultures and times we find water and forest deities who give protection, prophecies, inspiration, invisibility, and strength to their protégés. Galadriel, too, belongs to this tradition, presiding over a realm of dreams and desires, visions and illusions, and gifts and blessings.
Before giving him three, Galadriel asks what he would do with it. "Treasure it, Lady,' he answered, 'in memory of your words to me at our first meeting. And if ever I return to the smithies of my home, it shall be set in imperishable crystal to be an heirloom to my house, and a pledge of good will between the Mountain and the Wood until the end of days." I love the subtle piece of lore from one of the other books about Fëanor in the first age begging three separate times for just a single strand of her golden hair and being denied. The hair which caused him to make the jewels which basically led to all the trouble of the First Age. This is my favorite lore piece of all time for Middle Earth.
of all places in middle earth, lothlorien is the one that fascinates me the most. i love how the movies brought it to life with the music and aesthetic, it truly is mesmerising and i can picture the feeling, the whole place building itself around me in my mind so easily every time i close my eyes.

The world has changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it. It began with the forging of the Great Rings. Three were given to the Elves...immortal, wisest, and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Dwarf Lords...great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine...nine rings were gifted to the race of Men, who above all else desire power. For within these rings was bound the strength and will to govern each race, but they were all of them deceived for another Ring was made. In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret a Master Ring to control all others. And into this Ring, he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all life. One Ring to rule them all. One by one, the free lands of Middle Earth fell to the power of the Ring. But there were some who resisted. A Last Alliance of Men and Elves marched against the armies of Mordor, and on the slopes of Mount Doom, they fought for the freedom of Middle Earth. Victory was near, but the power of the Ring could not be undone. It was in this moment when all hope had faded, that Isildur son of the king took up his father's sword. Sauron, the enemy of the free peoples of Middle Earth was defeated. The Ring passed to Isildur, who had this one chance to destroy evil forever. But the hearts of Men are easily corrupted, and the Ring of Power has a will of its own. It betrayed Isildur to his death, and some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend...legend became myth...and for two and a half thousand years, the Ring passed out of all knowledge until when chance came, it ensnared a new bearer. The Ring came to the creature Gollum, who took it deep into the tunnels of the Misty Mountains...and there, it consumed him. The Ring brought to Gollum unnatural long life. For five hundred years it poisoned his mind, and in the gloom of Gollum's cave, it waited. Darkness crept back into the forests of the world. Rumor grew of a shadow in the East...whispers of a nameless fear, and the Ring of Power percieved its time had now come. It abandoned Gollum. But something happened that the Ring did not intend. It was picked up by the most unlikely creature imaginable: a Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins of the Shire. For the time will soon come when Hobbits will shape the fortunes of all.
Wow!I love Lothlórien so much,it'll be stunning as usual!😍

Ha, funny. Just yesterday I listened to the Rivendell music & ambience video while falling asleep to calm down my anxiety and depression.
Hope you're doing well, fellow human!

Listen to this while sleeping, that's truly a gold experience
The Lord of the Rings soundtracks never get old. I love listening to them, especially the shire themes because they are so full of cheer and elven themes because they are so mysterious and heavenly. :)
been listening to this for over a day strait non-stop!!! Still loving it! ;P
It is a new classic, old classic is going to be old, when new masterpieces getting their place!
The lament for Gandalf always touched me so much... It is so painfully beautiful. Listening to this it really makes me feel like I am just right there, sitting at the bottom of a tree... I really wish
Love this! So moody and awe-inspiring! We are so in love with Tolkien and Galadriel's character specifically that we just released a single called LORIEN inspired by her character, of course it's very different. It's so lovely to hear this music again and be drawn into the world all over! Thank you :)
When I see so many people in the comments who dream of being a part of middle earth, I feel hope for our own world. Thank you for existing and dreaming, you beautiful souls.
If you resonate with the elves, and yearn to express an Elven presence on Earth, it is not without reason.
While it's not an answer for everyone, perhaps you'd find answers in seeking out the Elven Spiritual Path.
I was thinking the same thing. That's what I've done, I love it. ✨🦋✨

Its such a deep, beautiful story. So deep and detailed is the writing that i often find difficulty in keeping up. What a imagination had Tolkien had! Genius.

This is gorgeous. Read up a little in 'The Silmarillion' if you want more Tolkien scenery, his world was so insanely extensive. Numenor, the different kingdoms of Beleriand in the First Age, Valinor... there is so much inspiration in there.
Don't forget Sauron's servant Morgoth, usurper of the Silmarils.

I won’t be able to for a good while. But maybe, soon, I can return home. Where I belong. The place that felt it was made for me.
But seriously, sometimes I REALLY want to leave this world for Middle Earth. I want to leave the drama of social media and corruption of government.
I want to leave technology for magic,
presidents and prime ministers for kings and queens,
guns for bows and arrows,
comfort zone for adventures,
life for a better one.
All I have with me are books, and that could be enough.
Edit (Six Months Later): I’m finally back. I just arrived at Rohan with Gandalf, Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas. It’s been so long, but I’m glad to be home.
@@sam_anonymous Same I was thinking last night and it hit me that this earth really is just the worst place for readers, because we know that we can never travel to the same places as a book character and could never have the same adventures.
you know of course, that the elves intertwining with humans is something very real to certain cultures in this world? Those with elven blood have the chance at returning to Álfheimr, the elven homeworld upon death of their mortal bodies. In some circles of Norse and Finnic spirituality at least. Its not /all/ just a fantasy you know...💚

Lothlorien lacks Diversity!! It's White Elf Privilege!! SJW's demand that you let in lots of Orcs!!
@1StarProductions Ha, excellent quote! Kudos to you and well-said, my good man.
Famous lastwords....

Cheers.
@@theexile6605 You're comparing real people ... humans... to an innately evil race in a fantasy book. False equivalency. Go troll elsewhere.

How did like the movie compared to the book?
I know this comment was made two years ago but what did you think of the movies? Did you think they did the locations justice?
And if ever I return to the smithies of my home, it shall be set in imperishable crystal to be an heirloom to my house, and a pledge of good will between the Mountain and the Wood until the end of days."
I love the subtle piece of lore from one of the other books about Fëanor in the first age begging three separate times for just a single strand of her golden hair and being denied. The hair which caused him to make the jewels which basically led to all the trouble of the First Age. This is my favorite lore piece of all time for Middle Earth.
Where does that come from? That's not in The Silmarillion.
This is life savior!! I'm currently studying, crying and listening to this and it actually makes studying easier!! BLESS
