    Living here in the north end for the last 11 years has been challenging... Making plans to sell the house and move ..rising crime out of control taxes and a mayor who doesn't have the best Interest of all the people that live in st Paul .. he only cares about select groups of people ...all reasons not be here !!!

      Yeah, thats one city that used to be great that is on a slow decline and soon won't be livable for normal people

      How many cities do you think actually have politicians running it that care about the people?...

    Oh look its my old childhood craphole neighborhood. I lived there in the 80's and 90's. We would say, "Eastside Pride" As an adult who moved the heck out of there, I now understand it wasn't about pride, it was about trying to feel like you had a sense of pride because there wasn't anything to feel proud about.

      Who's fault was it?? My parents lived in St.Paul in the 1920s and 1930s during the "Great Depression" Back then people could hardly survive and St. Paul had almost no crime!!! Maybe this entire crime problem in all of our major cities is all about black culture???

    • @myidentityisinjesus8880
      @myidentityisinjesus8880 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dbcooper692 my mom and her family lived there in the 40's until my grandparents had to go to the nursing home. It was nice for them but by the time I was there in the 80's it just got worse and worse. I agree about there being a culture problem but what it really boils down to a sin problem. Jesus is the answer to all of the evil in this world.

    I don't understand the inability to do basic math and language skills with all the experience of the past showing everybody has the ability to absorb these topics. I think, more importantly than single-parent households (which are a huge factor), the age and level of education of the parent is a factor that has been overlooked. An undereducated teenage mother is more inclined to look after her own appearance and dating prospects than preparing her child for a lifetime of education. Then the schools become the babysitter, and the only time the mother takes interest is if she feels slighted by the treatment her child receives at school--whether bad grades or disciplinary events. Not a recipe for success.
    Love,
    David

      No and we need to bring back truancy officers. When did those go away. The kids can't learn anything if they are not there.

      I grew up there and in the thick of it. It's way more complicated than that. I left that area around age 30 and it took me up to age 45 to really begin to move past the neglect, abuse, poverty, daily fears of living in a bad neighborhood and the drugs and drinking I did to mentally escape my surroundings. You wonder why learning math etc... is difficult for some? It's because you sit in class unable to focus on your learning because you wonder if your dad is home drunk and if you, your mom and siblings will be getting a beat down that night. You sit in class and wonder if you'll get to have a real dinner or just a slice of bologna and only if someone else hasn't gotten to it first. I'm 52 now and with Jesus I'm finally able to say that I'm over that part of my life.

    I lived in the Highland Park neighborhood from 2004-2012. I really liked it there but when I left it was changing. I moved to a northern suburb until 2021, and I left MN. The politics are terrible, they are destroying the state. It's sad, I grew up in MN and love what the state was. St. Paul was a great city, but its decline was inevitable with the politics.

    • @risingcrimenews
      @risingcrimenews  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Man I’ve lived in Saint Paul half my whole life, an man they gone have to fix that population by race statistics because trust me when I tell u dis I run into more black ppl then I do white ppl, only time I see white in the city is when I’m Grand Ave or around Summit area other then that i hardly see any an im being strictly honest 💯.

      I don't know where the Winter Festival is held, but my opinion of it while I was there was that it feels safer in the winter. Man trust an believe me I’ve lived in St. Paul my whole life damn near an to put all the blame on the folks coming Chicago is far fetched. Trust me when I tell u this bruh them ppl that come from Chicago ain’t the ones causing any problems believe me when I tell u this it’s those who grew up in the city that ain’t never been to Chicago that’s doin all the killing u can’t put it all on Chicago migrants nahh that’s wrong it’s those that live N reside in the city there whole life doing all the shootings an etc and the gangs it’s all Minnesota Saint Paul gangs Chicago folks come here an come across gangs that originated from there city but it’s already been in St. Paul for decades so they automatically get embraced because they come from the Mecca 🕋 where it all started at which is.. Chicago. So don’t put it all on those wonderful ppl I love my city but we breed an raise some fucked up ppl to nah lol

      @Skullzgaming: The area around Como Park Zoo and the neighborhood is now entirely unsafe 24-7. There's constant vandalism and gangs and muggings. Further east on South Snelling Avenue that neighborhood is also unsafe 24-7 and blighted. You'll be lucky if you get out of there alive !!!!! My friend and his family who use to live on South Snelling Avenue were forced to move out of there in the mid 1970s!!!!!!!
