LAUNCHING THE TINNIE INTO 10FT SWELLS.. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!

  • Safe to say this was one of the Wilder experiences the Wanderers have been through. A relaxed morning at camp turned into CARNANGE on the water within a blink of an eye. A rush of adrenaline held us in good stead but by the end of the day, the ocean had gotten the best of us. We certainly do not recommend you try this at home. What I’ve learnt from surfing that might apply to this is the that if you see a wave that’s about to crash on you just try and get over it and also to try and get out you could use a rip.

    Sit on the back of the wave when headed inshore boys. Not infront of it

    One of the funniest videos on TH-cam. Your mate clutching that rope as you head out in attempt to “hold the front up” is pure comedy. Jesus Christ you boys are lost.

    Good driving mate. That happened to me once and I repeat once. The ride back in after we aborted was the scariest. I looked over my left shoulder at a 2-3 metre wave right above me and I literally shit. Yous did well to hold it together and not panic.

  • @jpslupik

    Thats totally doable lads, just do it more and get used to it. Train with no gear in the boat so u can become familiar with beach launching. its just timing, get out there

    • @twsthewanderers
      @twsthewanderers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah we were certainly inexperienced at that point haha. Thanks legend, she was a ripping experience. 🤙🏾

    • @jpslupik
      @jpslupik 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@twsthewanderers because in bali there are no boat ramps, so beach launching is standard. It’s really simple n easy after you understand what u can actually get out through. Timing and being ready to go once in the boat. Ur engine must be primed and ready first pull. Ur partner always pointing the nose to the swell, if u keep the nose towards the swell and help lift it up when the wave hits ur pretty fine. U will look back and think that’s a piece of cake once you do it often. Then the adventure level up hard 😉

    • @twsthewanderers
      @twsthewanderers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ahhaha that’s wild man. I definitely look forward to to next challenge ahead. I appreacite the insight man. 🙏🏽

      @@twsthewanderers I’m running a 3.5 m inflatable with fiberglass hull , 15hp.
      Cool little boat. I’m about to swap it for a 4m dart or 4.20 dory. The dart is still quite light, sick little boat that u can still drag around when u need too on the sand. So good having a tinny for adventures hey
