I took delivery on my 2024 SLT Premium Package x31 5.3 V8 two weeks ago. 21.4 mpg on the highway. I absolutely love it. BTW, this is my 4th Sierra in 16 years!
Don’t listen to them Ben, too many people are ignorant when it comes to supply and demand. If someone buys this for $68k, then that was precisely what it is worth. When you say value, you are comparing to other options at this time, not the prices of trucks ten years ago. Not sure if they understand that a diesel engine is an expensive option. I think that you are spot on with this one. I am not a GM fan, but that is a very nice truck.
I agree with all your points handyman!!! Additionally a lot of people (unfortunately) love to sit back in the comfort of their homes (or parent's homes) and throw demeaning, sarcastic comments at these content producers and by doing so they feel better about themselves.
You’re out of touch with reality if you think this is a good value. This is a $55k truck theyre selling for $70k.
He likes to push these trucks like a sales person would. Instead of calling them out for insane prices, he tries to justifies the prices all to suck up to the manufacturers and dealerships so that he can get cool perks and discounts. It’s all business
If you are paying 70K for the SLT… you are overpaying. One at the dealer I just bought my Denali at is 58K.
You just bought a 2024 Denali 4x4 for $58K.... Where?@@tmcquitty
Agree that it's a $55K truck but the ENTIRE market has swung towards these insane prices. Hopefully better pricing will start returning with manufacture/dealer discounts but I don't know we will ever return to pre-planned-demic pricing (unfortunately).
Ben is constantly purchasing vehicles above $80K. So for him and his reality, $70k is a darn good value.
Love your speedy verbiage in describing this truck. I bought this exact truck last week and your descriptions are spot on!
Nice truck! However, the lack of decent payload and a tow rating of only 8700 lbs, would be a deal breaker for me.
This really is a great value truck for today’s market. Perfect combination of luxury and capability. Great review👍
fake trucks , not made for hauling
Purchased basically this identical truck in silver metallic 5 days ago with 8k in rebates and 2.7% financing at 72mo O.T.D for 58K. So far I'm pretty happy with it. Especially the range and fuel economy of the 3.0 LZO Diesel.

@@shmoe7731 MARK MILLER GMC in Tulsa Oklahoma.
I like that model dimensions with the longer bed.
My favorite truck loves gmc good truck to go everywhere you want to go
LOL almost 70k. I'll just wait for the market to crash.
Need offer the Duramax with the pro work truck trim
I Loves The Duramax Diesel In The Max Trailering Package 📦.
For now I'm keeping my 2023 silverado 1500. Next truck i buy will be a 2500 zr2
Nice great vehicle for the price
Sitting your camping chair in the road is a Pittsburgh thing lol
think that's nice, We got a 2024 Chevy 2500 ZR2 Bison
Does it have heated and cooled seats? And heated rear seats?
There’s one local to me, for 58K with the SLT Plus, which includes the heated and ventilated seats.
It's the only trim you can get the Max tow package....heated tow mirrors and heated AND cooled seats.
Great review and really pretty location, but $70k is not a good value for that truck. Here in Texas currently with the big cuts in sales, the bare-bones optioned LTZ is closer to $55k. At the same time, a few dealers have a few bare-boned optioned SLT models going for close to $60k, which is obviously a better value. I imagine a Duramax optioned one would not be on sale for such.
$70k for a half ton pickup is insane. Personally, I think $55k is too much, but the market is what it is. Dealers seem to be feeling the heat. They can't sell what they have meaning they are paying a ton of interest on their inventory loans on top of quarterly taxes with few customers on the lots. With the 25% wage increase to the labor unions, the vehicles are only going to get more expensive. They're really caught in the middle. I bought my truck on Halloween which is three months ago today. I still look at their websites every now and again for fun. These trucks are moving off the lot at a snail's pace. Most of the trucks I was looking at then are still there now. This is the Houston market which is supposed to be one of the better truck markets. This isn't directed at Ben Hardy so much because he probably knows this, but to say $70k is a bargain, I guess he is trying to do the dealer a favor for letting him demonstrate their vehicles.
And for those who think it's a good value and can afford it. Good for you and I hope you're happy with your purchase. No hate from me. I got my LTZ for $50k, optioned a bit better than this SLT and the differences between the two trucks are very slight and up to personal preference. I really like the AT4, but the price ran me off the lot. LOL
Sterling McCall?
@@iuyozxmainly the Chevy dealers. I think DeMontrond had a few SLT's around $60k.
2024 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 3.0L Duramax Diesel 10-Speed Automatic X31 OFF-ROAD Package Crew Cab 4X4!
Always, first.😉👍🏻
I don't know what these auto makers are thinking...no one can afford a $1000.00 plus truck payment with rent/mortgage, food, gas, and everything else that has continued to skyrocket in price when wages have stayed the same since the 90s....gonna be a wake up call for them when inventory doesn't move...Not A Goid Value at all is this truck
Diesel in cold weather! You need your head examined
Why does he need his head examined?
70k miles 10k to replace cam and lifters
80k miles 13k to replace transmission
120k miles 5k to replace motor mounts, oil cooler line transfer case seal

Is this for the 2022's and onward still? Is it just luck of the draw or pretty much all high risk of that?
this is no truck , just a car with an open trunk , why did GM stop making real trucks ?
Wheels look cheap
You talk too fast
