Indian governemnt should have to make it mandatory that the government teacher's children should study in the school in which his father/mother is teaching especially in state like Bihar. No parents want to see their children to fail. If it will happen then the system of the school will also improved.

Today, I am self-employed and earning well as an export-import consultant. Those with Master's degrees, including MBAs approach me for advice. Our education system is producing functionally illiterate students. I have a rich personal library of over 1000 books and can discuss any subject under the sun. When my first child started Kindergarten in the US I was so happy to see that she was getting a good education. She was taught critical thinking in elementary school, the teachers really cared about the students and loved their jobs. They saw that extra help was given to struggling students. Overall the system really thinks about the students. I am comparing this to my education that I got in one of the best schools in Mumbai. Sadly I hated school and I blame the teachers and the education system for it.

I am one of the so called toppers of the school, because of my interaction and grades, and what you said is totally relevant. In school copy paste concept is used instead of practical knowledge. There was a student in my class who used to be my senior but since he failed in class 9 he became one of our classmates. He had very low grades, and teachers used to make fun of him a lot..but, there's a but. He used to make small machines with daily life things, and he was a genius. Though I was good in theoretical physics, that boy was good in the application of physics. But I don't think he will get science in 11 because of his low grades. This is where our system fails; ratta maar knowledge > practical knowledge. I feel bad for that student
And yeah the filtering system, there were so many classes for the slow learners in our school, otherwise they will fail. But we need to understand that everyone's learning process is different, even when all students are of the same age. This was one of main ideas of modern psychology named constructivism.

I have recently started as a school teacher and I am deeply saddened to see the faults of our education system at such close quarters. Students are encouraged to cram the answers and made to expect questions only from the textbook. If they notice any slight diversion in the way the questions are presented, they would react like fish out of water.
The state of language education has reached rockbottom. The mindless emphasis on English, and outright negligence of the mother tongue enrages me to the core.
The abnormally increasing number of students in one section has taken a toll on the educator's sanity.
I,for one, am not able to cope with the challenges that come along with it. Despite my willingness to help the slow learners, I am compelled to move with the pace of those who fair well. The utmost importance given on the completion of syllabus ( regardless of whether the students understand the concepts or not) and almost null number of extra classes for the slow learners.
Schools , now follow the policy of survival of the fittest and the willing teachers are bogged down by the disillusionment they face in this system. While, the ones who hardly care, go about their business with their myopic vision.
There is so much to explain but I am afraid the list is so long, that it cannot be accommodated. I am just another novice but frustrated teacher whose naive vision to bring a change has constantly been threatened by the superficial ideals which are followed nowadays

3rd and most important- don't blame system and teachers bcz blaming them will only make you feel bad and devastated ( I know those jerks deserve to burn in hell for ruining the future of nation but this is for your own good) try to cope with this system and don't lose hope ,you can learn anything from internet bcz it has the evey piece of knowledge. ....

This video was a great explanation of what is exactly going wrong. I just had 1 more solution that i wanted to add here. When we talk about this education system we also really need to realise the concepts and things being taught. We arent just trying to teach. BUT what is being taught i important as well. When you go through all the teaching that happens. You can see how the education system focuses alot on memorisation of topics. How everything important has to be learned by heart. Better countries have a much more different perspective. Where students learn. THROUH RESEARCH.

People will always have a reason to not study. Its true that even our teachers are not skilled enough.

Cheap and fast internet has opened so many doors. And every thing is available out there for free.

@@raghavsingh7733 during this pandemic, many students turned to labor work because schools were closed. Ofcourse I am talking about lower income households. There was online classes but they did not have phones, or if their parents did, the father used to go far to do his job and needed his phone, etc. Govt should have utilised television to broadcast classes. They used TH-cam live instead. 🤦‍♂️
The will to learn is directly related to the standards of living. If the family is hungry, learning calculus will not fill them up, doing manual labour will. So they learn physical conditioning, and how to handle muscle stress instead. Humans will always learn, but you have narrowed down that learning to maths and science, and literature. And then you blame the will of a human to learn. Sad, really.

I am from Kerala. Even govt is focusing only on increasing the pass percentage of the state board. Recently the kerala class 10 results were announced. So we also came to know about the result of my neighbour. It was really surprising to know that a child who rarely goes to school or study has got such a good grades. No offense against that kid. But another shocking thing was that many 9th std students were paid to write the exam of these 10th std students. This year only one student failed in that particular school because his/her father refused to take that offer.
We are giving to much importance to marks such that if a child doesn't fulfill the minimum he/she is declared as a failure and the govt itself is encouraging cheating and giving an indirect message that you can't t be successful with what u have. While the govt make a good status for themselves among other states, they are actually spoiling their own children
This is a serious issue. Neither the news channels are ready to take this issue nor the teachers. Pls help me to make this one of the top comments so that everyone can see this.
