    Want to practice acting but worried about my parents hearing me and making fun of me lol
    Edit: YOO I DID IT. I joined the theater department and I LOVE IT, there’s a lot of great people, we did Anne of Green Gables and now we’re doing a musical, it’s Cinderella. I was Ensemble both times but that’s ok, got to start somewhere, and I already have a bunch of new friends. Everyone is so motivating and positive and friendly and creative

    I want to start acting so badly, but I'm scared that I'm too late bc I hear that really successful actors have started really young. I have big dreams of performing Shakespeare and other big dramatic roles, and also comedic roles (tbh I just want to be able to tackle any and every role) but I feel like the way I say and act out the lines are robotic and bad. Is it still possible for anyone of any age to learn to act? I'm 15 btw

    • @BelgicaPaola
      @BelgicaPaola  3 ปีที่แล้ว +44

      15? No, you are not "too old". In my perspective, you should enjoy your childhood and treat acting like any other career, get educated, do research on how to be successful financially and mentally. If you aren't good now, it's because you probably don't have training so that's where you should start. You can start learning now and take it from there. Feel free to check out the playlists on my channel as I have videos about acting classes and acting exercises like this one. :)

      Hi Rhianna, I know it can be hard for some people to accept you choosing to be an actor because it is very hard to make a full income from it. If you are under 18, you will need to have to have your parent's permission when you find any auditions. I have lots of videos on how I find auditions now and how I have in the past. These were great exercises. I love the focus on experiencing your own life and response to situations and then tuning into that when you are doing a scene instead of trying to copy someone else’s style. Also I love the neutral line exercise. I think it would be really cool to have prompts like the neutral line and see a lot of different actors performing it, to really see all the range one can achieve with it. Great video, concise and informative and you just seem like a nice likable person.

    I’ve been into acting for a few months now and seeing my idles as actors really made it become my life goal and purpose. I’m rlly into marvel and action movies, comedy, and rlly any genre. I just turned 15 and have been doing tons of research. I want to take acting classes so I could learn technique because I know that’s what a lot of actors did as children. Im hoping there’s a way to take acting classes without doing theatre and all of that. I really feel that I have some of it in me but I just have to get a few things on track. (Facial expressions, hand gestures, etc.) I’m really looking forward into the future because it’s GOING TO HAPPEN. I pray every night for God to help me chase and achieve my dreams and he’s proven me that he can do that. I’m confident in myself and what I can become. Ps. Sorry for the booklong paragraph, I thought it would be a great time to express myself even a year later cus I see a lot of people doing so. Anyways, see y’all up there!

    i have never told anyone this, but like I've always wanted to be an actress, like when i was 8 i started taking drama classes and stopped because of covid, but like I'm afraid that they might make fun of me or say things like "you'll never become anything" or idk what or like once i told my parents i wanted to be one and they said that it's not something that can help you build a life if you know what i mean, so now im here, and maybe one day I'll be able to do it.
    So yeah thank you for this❤️

    I have a minor advice. Belgica could have more pause between different sentences.
    The speech of Belgica is very fluent and appealing. However, I think it would be even more appealing if you pause more. Pause could save the energy and resource. It could help you say the next sentence even better.

      Hello! In acting you really get used to and okay with being embarrassed or feeling like you are not good enough. I know it seems super scary but trust me, after a while, it really doesn't matter or seem so bad! Take your time. I suggest getting into acting classes eventually but for now, you can learn about the business side of acting.

    Does roleplaying a character in real life help acting? I created my own oc few years ago and i've been creating stories for my character and i memorize it, i mostly create a fake scenario in my head and i roleplay that scenario, lines and acts in real life, 2years ago i failed the drama lesson criteria. But i decided to go to a singing and dancing lesson so that i could increase my chance for winning that criteria of drama club.
