I'm currently sitting on one too waiting for a sweets craving to find out if it has side effects. Also ran across my first blueberry crawler minutes after my blueberry craving timed out. Luck has been rough so far in this mod.

@GunsNerdsandSteel, I believe the "VOLKs Sub-machine gun" is based off of the WWII MP3008 (A 9x19 Parabellum Submachine Gun that was used for last ditch efforts by the Nazis from January 1945 to May 1945. It had its design based off of the Sten Mk II, but had a normal vertical magazine and pistol grips. It was called the "Volksmaschinenpistole" or "the people's machine pistol").
Plus, the MP5 you found could be either an MP5A2 (A standard MP5, equipped with a fixed stock and the "SEF" OR "Navy" trigger group), or an MP5FSA2 (Although it is an FBI recommendation for a "9mm semi-auto carbine", it has the original 8.9-Inch MP5 barrel and a fixed stock).

I'm excited to see the base you build, I heard you mention it and I've thought it as well. "What if I just drink 4 mega crush and run?" it works really well, but you will get hit due to stamina or turning to shoot birds. The stoners can only hit you if they spawn directly in your path, so if your vitality is low you might not make it. Not fully reliable and requires a lot of attention but a possible strategy.
This mod just about killed me with how tough the survival is! Thank goodness for the Temreki's that show us how to do with style! 😎👍

A small tip go for the cement mixer its easier to craft concrete mix than it is to make brick.
I wouldnt rely on finding tools or weapons that much since what you can craft will out class what you find. I think what slows things down is fully going through PoIs instead of short cutting to the end loot and books.
On a loot run session you could get an easy 40-50 literature fragments. You could get 30-40 levels in clubs in like 2 days of looting. The quality of weapons you find in loot caps at like 12k or so. Quality massively impact damage so eventually the ones you craft can easily outclass what you find in loot.
are u sure? i thought that was a balance issue in this mod right now
@lesnacke the mod has a lot of balance issues to me anyways. The weapons I've found so far doing loot runs in the wasteland have hit a max of like 12k quality. I can craft 44k quality inconel Mace and some guns have already gone past 20k.
Cement mixer is the hurdle to get but making concrete mix is easy since most PoIs have cement mix to loot, sand isn't that hard to get and stone isn't much of a problem either.
I will say that for tools the stamina drain on steel almost makes it not worth getting and the auger flat out sucks since for some insane reason its only made to mine stuff like dirt, clay and sand not ores.
Tip: Clothes/armor gain a 2nd slot at 24k quality. Didn't reach 3rd one yet(level 80 tailoring only gives 25k quality on lumberjack set, it's ridiculous), but i think it should be around 48-50k
I have no idea what the zebra cake does, but here's some things it could possibly do.
1) turn you into a smart zombie
2) summon a horde to take the cake from you
3) summon a zebra which when ridden can take you off to joke mod.

Hey Tem, I found the stun batons are best for a power attack that immediately stuns zombies. For the really tough ones, you get to run-hide-fight! 😎👍

HAHA you found the blueberry crawler, thats what i was hoping would happen in a farm plot like it did for me. i was laughing so hard when it happened i had to hit escape to pause the game. you should rush the chem bench so you can craft paper from wood shavings and planks. Also you should have harvested the blueberry crawler, it gives 3-6 blueberries.

Insight is one of the best skills you can invest in early on! Helps you get exp faster. The other one that I found to be very helpful is survivor and or slayer for the vitality!
@@jax1411 for vitality, I did put 2 in slayer but found that maxing the other three was far better. I gain 2.25 vitality a minute now so I can be maxed in a short crafting and farming session at my base. Slayer feels lackluster in comparison

I really can't help but feel like this is another of those 'The games not HARD enough! You all need to suffer more!' type overhauls. I has some interesting things in it, but the main theme seems to just be 'everything is harder and more tedious.' You need rest, but the zombies are so frequent you can never get it. All zombies are one class higher and some have new abilities (a feature I actually like; the spider mechanics are both fun and believable). Everything requires more of everything to craft, and it's more of a pain and a wait to get anything you need to craft; the fact that Tem was STILL using scrap and stone tools in the beginning of this is WILD to me.
I love when overhauls try for a different feel, or add new, interesting concepts to the game, but when the goal is to just make the game super hard or super tedious, it's not good business.
bro yes but its not just suffering for nothing the unlocks and quality of life u grind out make it satisfying theres really no endgame atm so it works out i dont have interest to play vanilla after playing this

Wasteland is literally just rads even if you spawn next to it at start of the game at game stage 1

there is a perk that make it so you improve your crafting skill when ever you use a weapon/tool if you got it early your crafting skill would be much higher, its honestly essential if you want to craft anything
well depends.. this skill is quite expensive and the first two stages barely does anything and you could go all in into workstations and make paper instead.
Wouldn't it be cool if the sunglasses removed or halved the haze of the desert?! It would be good for let's play viewers at least. Haha

I'm about a week behind you in my play through, but still I feel so far behind. I've been unable to get a wrench or mechanical parts so I still can't craft a bike. I can't remember if you found your first wrench or crafted it? If you found it that was a god send. It's 57 literature fragments before you can make a wrench which takes a while. I might finish raiding my small starting town before I get enough for that.
Cacti holds quite a bit of plant fibers. (In vanilla).

I don't know if you've heard of it already but there's an Escape From Tarkov overhaul that's in the works. The mod is still baking but the test version should be worth checking. As for why, well if you like Izayo's works your jaw will drop when you see the gun work in this mod XD. No more spoiling, just enjoy 😊

You might look into the better night vision modlet, at least for the camera man. Much better night/dark shots, & no frame around screen...

Im Doing a playthrough of Afterlife and want to ask you something.. Have you put in some mods for shapes.. Cause I cant for the life of me find or make the gates you used on your first hordebase?!
The shapes he used on the tower horde base are the default (same as Vanilla). Look carefully and you will find them. He also has a video using them on other towers/buildings so you can see better which one he is using step by step

You should knife the dead BBCrawler. All zombies can be butchered for bones and the dead flesh. Maybe the BBCrawler has something extra?
If you check another TH-camr/streamer, @NilHero, he is doing a similar playthrough and has had good luck building a horde base with some rooftop patrolling to get the rock throwers/birds/spiders, as well as the horde itself. Might give you some ideas for these special lopsided ones.
If this has the same burn rates as unmodded shale last the longest

You do realize it's going to be harder to find resources on your reach 80 Days because remember correctly I don't know if it's the same map I'm thinking it is all you left is small settlements and as you're lucky she still on the map a lot or pencil or penne wherever it is honestly it's better if you resource or increase drops on your next try because when I see you have people do this they do not do respawning resources on the only last like about 5 weeks before they were not materials and their luck is really poor when zombies drop items you have to do the whole run over again
