    I have this same fan that I purchased new no earlier than 1987. It still works but I have to spin the blades before it gets going. I’m going to blow it out and lube it like you did.

    Mine is identical but I found a small copper wire in the coil to the white plastic electric junction broken. It was doing the same thing as yours to begin with, then nothing. Took apart and found wire instantly. Souder? Or throw out?

      Hi! As always the choice is yours - I for one am not great at soldering/working on electronics.For what it’s worth I ran mine a ton during the summer and it worked great. I think it was worth saving. But I have a soft spot for old tools/machines! Thanks for commenting - have a great day!

    Use a gear puller on the blade hub.
