Truly expert work. This derailleur has the reputation of a technician-killer 🙂 I'm curious - it seemed like the inside of the sealed parallelogram mechanism was still really fresh-looking when you disassembled it. Do you think it might be possible to leave it together and flush it through the limiter screw holes, then regrease it using a needle-type grease gun?
I have one of these on a Schwinn Voyageur SP and the MounTech on a Specialized Stumpjumper Sport. This is very helpful, I will have to rebuld them both. These bikes are survivors and came almost complete. Those upper pulleys are a total failure of engineering, they had to do it like that to get around Huret's patent one the original dual pivot extra wide range derailleur. Shimano made one too, but it totally failled too. I rode the prototype Shimano version while I was working at Shimano, and it broke while I was riding it gently on the road. It was going to be the high end touring derailleur, but was replaced by the Deore XT
The Superbe Tech derailleur is literally the single worst thing Suntour (the REAL Suntour, not "SR Suntour") ever designed. The best way to rebuild a Superbe Tech derailleur is to throw it out and get any other Suntour derailleur to replace it.

That’s a very good idea I don’t think of that! Yea you only need to take it apart if its seized or rusty inside great point!

These things are a work of art of engineering, even if it's complex! How well do these work after refurb?
right on! the creme de la creme
Yea
Just ordered a basically unused one for a Kestrel CSX. Damn these are strange.
Nice! Good luck with the build

LOL
I had One of these. It was a headache to see it taken apart and I didn't know how to put it back together. So I got mad and threw the damn thing away
Damn that’s sad At least now u know how to do it. It takes a lot of patience Good luck next time
@@RetroRebuilds yeah I'm planning on getting another one at some point
