#1, and I say this a lot in my own videos - a lot of people who watch TH-cam will subscribe to a channel for the creator's personality. Whether they're entertained, or informed, the subs come for the personality. One-off watchers don't care about it, but they also won't stick around and watch your other vids. #2, What have *I* been up to? Riding the same old Street Glide and creating videos for my own channel, and trying to catch up on a backlog of others' videos I want to watch. And work, and the 99 other things that vie for my time on a daily basis :D Stay well & ride safe Jon!
I use to watch your channel and get so jealous of some of the deals you were making. In Michigan its much tougher market and now new bikes are almost cheaper then 10 year old bikes.
He's not lying about the market, it certainly has changed with Covid. The dealerships are thriving. Here in NC the prices are crazy, people on Craigslist have bikes with busted fairings, bad tires, "won't start", and they're slapping a three thousand to four thousand price tag on it.

Hey boss, I’m thinking of selling my Ducati Panigale V4. How did you navigate test ride with customers? Did you have them fill out a contract or leave you a deposit? I want to avoid having to deal with joy rides or anything like that. Thanks
With a higher end bike like that, I would require cash in hand, hold their license, and probably ask for proof of insurance tbh before considering a test ride. Alternatively, you could say no test rides but run it up and down the street for them or offer to meet at a dealer where they can have an inspection done if they want to. I wasn't always super smart about it myself back in the day, and I look back now and think of how bad it could have gone. Lol.

Wow I didn't know that MVD had gotten like that. I guess the Wide Glide I bought in November 2020 was maybe one of the last to be able to go to Footwork and get the title, plate and registration in 15 minutes. The Arkansas Title and registration can still be done while you wait but you have to go to the county tax assessor first then to the Department of Revenue to get all that done. Yeah we pay personal property tax and registration on vehicles here.😒🤨 😮💨😮💨
Darn. I’ve been in and out of the Hospital several times the past year and a half or so. Found out I have cirrhosis cause by liver damage from mon when I was 16. Now that I’ve got it under control, your gone. I woulda bought from you. Oh well, take care!
John, welcome to the California style DMV process. CA DMV tracks everything and makes it so if you don't register the bike your buy and turn around and sell it, without registering it, you get fined. If you don't report the sale of your bike, you are responsible for what the buyer does until you file a "release of liability." Then, the new owner has 10 days to register it or get fined. Also, after 4 or 5 vehicle purchases and sales in a year, you fall under "dealer status." Nevada, unlike CA, does not tax sales between private parties. CA taxes every transaction. AZ is getting filled with CA libtards so your system, over there, will eventually mirror our messed up governmental overreach system... Good luck. We could sent Gov. Gavin Newscum to you if you want our Governor!!! We don't need or want him... I bought a lot of bikes when living in NV because of no sales tax on the private party transaction. Now that I am back in CA (born here and have family here is why I am back), I just keep the same old bikes.... CA no longer takes your word for what you paid for the bike, the DMV does a KBB charge for tax purposes... Corrupt CA.
@@JonsMotoGarage This guy doesn't know what hes talking about. DMV does not go by KBB. Just get a dealers license. Its not hard in CA and you don't pay sales tax when you pick up a bike. Also Jon I have been flipping for a few years and your channel was always a huuuuuge motivation for me. I even picked up a black t100 just like yours and customized to look very similar. Flipped it for $1600 profit. All the inspiration came from your videos. One day you will find a smoking deal on something you know the market on and you will hopefully catch the bug again. I know dealing with flakes and lowballers is draining. But do you remember the feeling of watching someone so stoked to ride away on their new bike and having a few extra bucks in your pocket? Wish you all the luck on your next venture.
@@steedu46gt ??? In general they shouldn’t bug out with fines for compliance! That actually hurts transactional taxes! Compliance is for safety, but it should be super easy to stay compliant not taxing your wallet 🤣 Nick break it down for us and how it is for u👍🏿

Corrupt CA.
Kbb tax sounds terrible. The whole system is a mess.
Im in san jose and flipped a few bikes, im not doing it anymore because of this
@@JonsMotoGarage This guy doesn't know what hes talking about.
Compliance is for safety, but it should be super easy to stay compliant not taxing your wallet 🤣
Nick break it down for us and how it is for u👍🏿
Hi John yes it becomes a hassle even my insurance company says we don’t want to insure a dealer and I have to assure them that I’m a hobbyist/collector (wink, wink). Although I do have a nice collection of bikes after all is said and done. I’ve enjoyed your vids. Thanks
Hey bro good to see you Doing well. I don't think the content of your videos needs to be a big issue. Or even the length of the videos if you just do consistent videos on a regular basis Your viewership will go up. proven by the great salty cracker. That dude has a huge fan base . has more people watching him then Bryan stelter. Lol
He's a long haired ranting lunatic. Lol
Very funny.
I have no sour feelings about the lack of videos from you I'm just glad to see you put something out every once in a while. Keep up the good work with that family is the most important thing.
God-bless my prayers are with you and your family in these hard times.
Good info.
Understandable.
Gotta love it when the government makes things a lot more complicated than it should be.
You’ve got little ones too! They need every minute of your time.
Look man your still awesome and thats that
Oh c’mon the real reason is he found his bags packed at the front door. His wife said I’m sick of your toys and your friends so get rid of them all or you won’t get a key to fit the new lock. Your only fun now is taking me to brunch and the kids to soccer little mister! It’s ok Jon, it’s happened to all of us. 😉
