Just to show how insane this album was, I live in a middle Eastern country and I remember being 10 in my cousin's house and she was telling us about this girl whose music was very different and girlie and was like coming out of a fairy tale. We gathered around her computer and watched Love Story mv and you belong with me and her iconic performance of Should've Said No. We were going crazy! I never listened to a country song before her. This was at the same year of the album release. Instant classic!
The song on speak now you’re thinking of is Never Grow Up! She mashed it up with Best Day on the final weekend of Eras Tour and I think everyone collectively sobbed
This was my show! I was sitting next to a mom who got seperated from her daughters with better seats and I hugged her and she bawled . I sobbed . A lot of tears
This album captures the exact feeling of being a teenager (at least for some). It is a combination of believing in fairytales with glimpses of maturity. Jumping from Love stories and ideas of a prince coming in his White horse, but also knowing that "In your life you'll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team". Mistaking toxicity for love (The way I loved you or "I say leave but all I really want is you") and also realizing that "I'm gonna find someone someday who might actually treat me well", but at the same time that "people are people and sometimes it doesn't work out". This album screams girlhood: all the heartbreak and problems that feel like the end of the world and the joys of fantasizing about love and starting to experience it.
Taylor actually wrote, recorded and made a home video of "the best day" as a surprise song for her mother on Christmas Eve and Andrea was interviewed about it and this is what she said about it "that's when I lost it. And [...] I've lost it pretty much every time I've heard that song since."
This is by far the best re-recording of all that have came out, from production to vocals to may I even say ftv songs but that would be my opinion. Love this record, a lot of people forget that this won AOTY, rightfully
I’m in my 30s and exactly Taylor’s age and you guys are 100% right: being her age and having these albums was like having a best friend to walk through your teen, college, 20s and now 30s eras of life ❤ this album makes me so happy and nostalgic and now my nieces listen to it with me and it’s adorable !

Yes!!! Finally someone said it “at the core it hasn’t changed” and I think that’s the main reason why she KEEPS her fans even when her “sound” changes. Cause it’s authentic, it’s not her trying to keep up with trends or what the new sound is, it’s all natural and authentic to her and her songwriting and it WORKS.
Taylors sounds has changed but her songwriting and making personal music has never changed like you said. And its why her old fans embrace the new stuff. And new fans enjoy the old ones. I love you two! Can’t wait for part 2
This album is such an important object of my childhood and teenage life. Hearing the new versions after 13 years feels like I opened a time capsule i buried long ago. I’m sure Taylor herself was emotional too when she recorded it
Awwwe Dadd cried in The Best Day like Never Grow Up did. And ironically Taylor did mash up of Never Grow Up x The Best Day in The Eras Tour and if you got to see it you might be crying a lot!
And then she played “Never Grow Up” and “The Best Day” as a mashup in Vancouver night 1 with her family in attendance. Talk about a sob fest, I bawled!! It still makes me tear up!😭🫶

Fun fact about the song the best day Taylor wrote it as a Mother’s Day gift for her mom and kept a secret until the album was done and then showed her the song and on the first Mother’s Day of the tour in 2023 she played the song
I am so glad you enjoyed this album! It is very good and nostalgic, but it is kinda underrated now that she has such an extensive and new discography so it's rare to see people appreciating it now. People forget that she won her first Album Of The Year Grammy with this one 🤧🤧
I was one of the people that forgot to subscribe but I am now lol. Taylor sang The Best Day mashed up with Never Grow Up in the acoustic set on one of the last Eras Tour Dates. It was just the full parent gut punch. So many of her mashups have been amazing during the Eras Tour. I spent most of my time watching them on tiktok
This is such a beautiful video. I loved watching you both listen to The Best Day (btw, the emotional song from Speak Now is Never Grow Up, and if you really want to cry, you should watch the mashup of The Best Day and Never Grow Up that Swift just performed on the Eras Tour!). Thank you guys for taking the time to really learn why everyone loves TS so much. I'm on my way to watch your other TS album reactions. ❤
Really nice reaction, good to see recognition of how good this album is, it's truly small wonder that it was album of the year. I was right there with you on The Best Day, that song never fails to get me and it's a little nugget of why I love Taylor so much; she feels like such a normal grounded person even though she's the most famous woman on the planet.
This made me so happy omg!! I became a Swiftie in the Fearless Era, and it's honestly been an honor and privilege to grow up alongside Taylor, as well as watch her career flourish the way that it has. She deserves every bit of success coming her way, and in my personal opinion, she is the true definition of an artist, who is doing the damn thing, especially when you think about how lucky and blessed the fandom is because of how she's re-recording her albums by getting control and ownership of her masters and providing us with vault tracks, so the content does not stop. One of my favorite quotes from her is the one that goes like this: "I think it's important that you know that I will never change. But I'll never stay the same either." And that's why she's my favorite, because that quote has remained true throughout the entire course of her career so far, and there's no doubt in my mind that she'll continue with having that mindset in mind for the rest of her career. It's the reason as to why she's so loved by so many people (myself included), why she has made it this far, and even why she's still standing and is considered unstoppable, at this point, because she's literally on top of the world right now, and rightfully so, if you had been there since the very beginning to know about that. Anyway, here's some of my favorite tracks from this record, which includes the following: White Horse, Fifteen, Forever & Always, Jump Then Fall, You're Not Sorry, and Don't You (From The Vault). Thanks for your videos, by the way. They never fail to make my day, so keep it up, you guys! 🥰 (I've been a silent viewer of your videos, but I just felt the need to comment something, and I wanted to add that it's so refreshing to me to see reactors who recognize Taylor's songwriting skills. That's always been her greatest asset from her debut album, so she's definitely one of the best and most prolific and gifted songwriters known to mankind. It's not about the vocals, it's mainly about the feel and emotion of her music, as well as the richness of her lyrics, which should resonate deeply with you due to how complex, layered, and intricate they are, because it's like she has written something for any given moment or situation that you're going through in your life, so there's something for everything and everyone out there, and it's why I personally keep coming back to her music because I deeply relate to her songs. She's always said from the very beginning that this is her passion, that she writes her own music, and that's so rare to see in the industry, and you can just tell that those are her words, so I'm so glad that you guys also seemed to notice that about her. As I've said earlier, she's my favorite for all those reasons I've mentioned so far, and another one of them is her being one of my biggest inspirations to write my own poetry, so ever since I was a little girl, I saw so much of myself in Taylor, and I ended up majoring in English and minoring in Psychology, having the ability to perfectly analyze her music as well as come up with my own poems, because her music is seriously like poetry! Much love ❤❤)
i think the best part of being a music fan is growing up with it... you really can't take away the meaning of her songs to those people who listened to them back when they were released.
Forever and always was my suprise song mashed up with Maroon on piano, it was stunning. I’m a fearless girlie, came to Taylor later in life and have thr nostalgia of the hits but didn’t grow up with the album really and I adore it. Talking about the person who discovered her having $$$ in his eyes while listening to the first Taylor’s Version is pretty fitting. Seeing as Scott Borchetta “discovered her,” signed her to his new record label as his first artist and 6 albums later sold the rights to those masters out from under her, for the $$$.
It's imperative to mention that this album (the og) won album of the year and is still to this day the most awarded country album...EVER. Like garth Brooks, George strait and the greats didn't stand a chance.

Taylor has not changed as far as her character, She will stand up for women in a heart beat even if it's not understood, Taylor has natural curly hair.❤
This will probably always be my favorite Taylor album just for pure nostalgia. ❤ Unfortunately the vault tracks on this one were such a flop (with one obvious exception).
