    This is so crazy !! The way the company handled it pissed me off and when she told the lady about Richard, she had the nerve to say she might’ve given him some flirtatious signals. The lady asking her if she always smiled at people the way she does. So it’s her fault she is attractive like ?! When it got worse, the lady wanted to protect Richard’s security and offer them both counseling, like her why ?! And when the lady found out about how Richard became a member in her aerobics class, she told Laura to take a break from it because it will create an “awkward situation”. Saying the clothes !! 😳😤

      Blame women for everything..it's WAY EASIER THAT WAY. what do you expect to actually take action and put the 'toxic' men's at place by executing consequences and ACTUAL lose for them or/and having a record for the disgusting evil acts they did - despite no provocation or harm done to them directly or intentionally OR ANY WHICH WAY AT ALL.
      With all the women in power these days (to being Presidents to head of various institutions) How little general good is done still for the safety and uplifting of women who go through this. Talking to them *directly* and not from a assumptions that 'the victim is the culprits' - is just the tiny tiny step towards betterment on the subject of stalking and harrasment

    The film called stalking laura that came out in 1993 is about a man’s obsession with a female colleague turns dangerous after she rejects his advances; based on a true story.

    The way these HR people handled it was atrocious. They're more worried about protecting the COMPANY. Never mind the fact that the company could be facing a huge lawsuit for doing nothing in the event something happens. While they did eventually fire him, they did so for the wrong reasons (performance issues) because they thought it would be better for him.

      It’s fairly common for death row inmates sentences to be reconfigured into life in prison, plus California has turned off the death penalty process, meaning all convicts are now for life in prison.

    This is my favorite stalker movie. I've been hooked on it since I first viewed it on CBS in 1993. Richard Thomas played Richard Farley very well. He got scarier until he went off his rocker and killed those people and held the building hostage for five whole hours. Sick and CRAZY! Every bit as crazy as the real Richard Farley! _(4/9/2023)_

    When I first watched this, I had no idea it was based on real events. Did NOT see that psychotic ending coming!
    The real life Richard was/is way creepier than the young quirky actor portraying him in this film.
    Actually, the HR department's condescension is believable for this time period. These days at the office, men have to stand 30 feet away from women, keep their heads down, and hold their breaths to keep from being accused of something and having their reputations ruined. Humanity can master time travel, but reasonable balance is beyond our understanding ❤

    • @JayHarangue
      @JayHarangue  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Totally agree. Although I think these events happened in the late 80s (and I’m the Bay Area) where I’d assume this sort of HR response was already considered draconian.
      I think this actor does a great job as a creep..but yeah, from the photos of seen, the real one takes the cake.

    This movie turns my stomach. If you have someone like this somewhere in the world? If for any reason you're unable to go to the cops? Shut down any social platforms down, keep them SHUT DOWN DON'T GO BACK EVER! Be selective with people both publicly and privately. Depending on how bad things are? I wouldn't date. If you have Christian values? Uphold them. This guy scares the hell out of me!!!! I never want to watch this movie again, I don't plan on it!! As a man, I accept that a woman rejects my feelings, but I do not accept that she belittles me, especially in front of people, as happened in the real story (not the movie). The man’s revenge in this incident was for his dignity, not because she did not accept it.

    • @ladynekochan
      @ladynekochan 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Wait, are you seriously blaming her for him killing people? Even if she did belittle him that did not give him the right to hurt her or anyone else. He constantly harassed her and stalked her. If there were any incidents of her "belittling" him it's probably because she got sick and tired of him not leaving her alone. Every action he took was completely on his own. She didn't make him do anything. Richard Farley is the only person to blame for his actions.

    • @eagleeye8920
      @eagleeye8920 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@ladynekochan He is a criminal by all standards, and I think he is psychologically disturbed. I was saying that it is not permissible for a woman to make someone’s love for her a reason to mock him and belittle , because she may encounter an abnormal person who commits foolish things. I believe that if she had treated him with kindness and some respect for his feelings, perhaps this painful crime could have been avoided. As for me (as a personal opinion), which I expressed in my response, I would certainly accept any woman’s rejection of my feelings towards her, as this is her right, but it is difficult to accept her belittlement of me and my feelings, especially in front of people, as happened in the real story of this film.
