I cannot guess how many hundreds of times I have listened to this underrated album. I love the solo at the end of this song. It is Gilmour’s perkiest, bounciest, most upbeat solo. I love it. Coming Back to Life is another great song from this album.

Love your honest narrative and agree whole heartedly. That's what I love about Floyd; their raw, fearless honesty. They have a way of drawing you in, and then speak to your soul. Sort of like going to church. 😊

Love that you did a Division Bell track. The album doesn't get enough credit. Personally, this album is in my single cd player in my bedroom for about 8 years now, never ejected. My wife and I love the whole album. We play the whole thing when it's romance time. It's perfect.

It might be my favorite album, at least in the top 3 Floyd albums!

I love how naturals your reactions are because pink floyd's songs have the same effects on me, it's just ineffable, beautiful, emotional... I think The Division Bell is their best album, no doubt, it brings so much sensations, so much pain and joy, I love it so much and it's so underrated

This album and Dark Side were directly responsible for me picking up the guitar. The sounds and atmosphere that the album evokes....really there are NO words to do it justice. Only Floyd stirs those emotions up for me.

"The Division Bell" and "Momentary Lapse of Reason" are my favorite Pink Floyd albums. I suppose it stems from me not being influenced enough by their earlier albums, as well as the fact that the lyrics on these two albums are so full of emotions. Some of them feel like they could apply to me and looking back at the sad parts of my life, making me think of how much better it would have been if I had been better prepared for my grown-up life by being told more about how difficult it can be to be an adult. Looking back now, it feels like I was raised thinking that everything would become OK when I got to be an adult, but seeing it now, my autism symptoms makes it really difficult to communicate with co-workers and my remaining family members (I am still unmarried and living by myself, not having a good grasp on my life).

I should probably add as well that I am aware of how much these lyrics refer mostly to how the remaining Pink Floyd members had to deal with the changes in the band and how they developed differently from each other. I feel especially saddened by how much Syd Barret's life was reduced because of his overuse of psychedelic drugs. I also know that it became increasingly difficult for Roger Waters to work with the rest of the group, making it necessary for him to do his own thing, but it never amounted to the same amount of fame as the remaining band members in Pink Floyd. Life is hard. I know that know. I wish I had known more about it when I was younger.

Great video, next you could listen to "welcome to the machine" or "Have a cigar", some great classic floyd.

Thank you for reacting to this great song. After the Wall (which apart from 3 or 4 tracks I thought was garbage) and the execrable Final Cut I said goodbye to Pink Floyd and particularly Waters' navel gazing. It was the release of the Division Bell which brought me back into the PF family, this track in particular.

That is actually not a Final Cut song, it was just an extra song for the movie, but yeah, a very nice one
