If he was evil, he would have tried to destroy our country by not enforcing immigration laws.... allowing for the sex trafficking of women and children....and fentanyl pouring into the country killing hundreds of Americans daily.
He would make the working class suffer by causing high inflation and high gas/food prices.
If he was evil he would allow Putin to invade another country killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people.
If he was evil he wouldn't acknowledge his grandchild.
If he was evil he would make Afghanistan a safe haven for terrorists.
Trump would never be that evil. That's what an evil president would do .....(Biden)

The lure of being near power, no matter how despicable the leader is, pulls the unsuspecting in. It’s happened time and time again in cults and the people not in the cult don’t understand the cult members. Ask yourself how Hitler got the German people to follow him and go to war for him and you might better understand.

“ I didn’t agree with everything they said or did BUT-“ that’s what every former Trump supporter says when pressed about why they ignored all the red flags. but it’s important to point out that those things they said or did were incredibly harmful, racist, sexist, and a slew of other things. I would have more respect if they came out and bluntly said “I know what he said and did was wrong and racist and deplorable but I chose to overlook it and not care because I believe his policies take precedent over the American people and how we treat one another”. THAT is where they stood. Own up to it. I would have way more respect if that’s what came out of their mouth. I don’t think anyone who is the person that Trump is should be president (good policies or not) but these former Trump supporters obviously didn’t feel that way. They thought policy was more important. Fine. But be honest about it. Regardless I’m glad these lady’s are speaking out. No one should get death threats over what they believe politically.

It’s called narcissistic abuse. The human mind is vulnerable. Especially beautiful, intelligent powerful women. It’s a sickening situation to be in. Narcissists know who to bring close to them. They know who they can use and abuse. I am so proud of both of these women, that were brave. They were brave to stand up to one of the most corrupt and disgusting human being. Bravo to both of you. Powerful men find you. They eat away and your mind. They eat away at your common sense. They move on to eat away at your morals. In the end, they eat away at yourself. That’s what a hierarchy in a cult does. They choose the most talented and vulnerable people to do the dirty work. When all is said and done, they blame it on you.

It is so hard, as an outsider , to understand a persons actions in that situation. I will say that men- or people- in power is not necessarily the problem. This is a personality disorder that , unfortunately, is often rewarded in our society- so a lot of people who are in power did get there with manipulation, flying monkeys and corruption.

Standing up and speaking out is the honourable thing to do. So, thank you for your courage! I can relate to the experience. What happens with psychopaths and narcissists is that they GROOM people to "adore" them. I was a victim of this sick practice. My eldest brother invested a lot of attention on me and made me believe he "cares" for me. Little did I know that he had BIG PLANS to fulfil his agenda of ABSOLUTE DOMINATION in our family. I was loyal to him, defended him and fought fights I shouldn't have. Until I read a letter written by one of his children (my brother has many children with different women) who went to great lengths explaining how he lived a FALSE LIFE thinking his father was one thing then realising that he was actually a MONSTER. My brother divided the people in his life to deliberately DECEIVE and CONCEAL the truth. I later learned that it is/was critical that he CONTROLLED THE NARRATIVE to fulfil his AGENDA and REIGN SUPREME over all of us. It takes a LONG TIME TO REALISE that you have been groomed all along and when you do, you are KICKED LIKE A DOG a just like all the other people who were ABUSED by the same person you adored. My father used to say, "You can fool some people sometimes but you cannot fool everyone all the time". My father tried to discipline my brother when he was alive but my brother hated my father for that. He wanted WANTED WHAT HE WANTED - sleeping with numerous women under in our parents house, amongst other things. My brother never learned from our parents principled characters instead lied about how they had FAVOURITES. That said, it is DEVASTATING but a necessary process for ENLIGHTENMENT, FREEDOM and GROWTH. I want to point out that this is a PERSONALITY DISORDER and there is no cure for it. Us former victims can EMPOWER ourselves with information on how to manage ourselves. Unfortunately, we can't control a narcissist. Personally, I have tried to speak about the condition to others and support our family. By consolidating our lives experiences, I can speak truth to power. We cannot be silenced. I agree, ENOUGH! Let's support those who speak up and expose these ills.

Excellent discussion. Really glad to see someone take a closer look at Trump's organization in terms of a cult b/c that's exactly what it is. I had a similar experience to Cassidy's when she went to Mar-a-Lago after 1/6 when I was going through changes with a boyfriend who had mental health issues. He'd been seriously threatening me, but I felt in order to be responsible and true to the relationship I should stick with him and try to work it out. Wrong. I was most fortunate to cross paths with a mental health nurse at a laundromat who set me straight. She advised me to get out any time anyone threatens you in any manner like that. They can become dangerous. She was right. Long story short - I laced up my little PF Flyers and never looked back.

You are living in my home state. I identified with you. How did we get here? When did we lose the importance of telling the truth. I too need to tell the truth and even when there is a price to pay. What I new was that speaking truth to the Father was my job.
I will pray for you young lady and, may I ask you to pray for me.
We must bring the truth out of the darkness.
I too live in NJ. Maybe someday our paths will cross. God Bless and keep on following the truth.

To me, she’s not brave. I feel like she testified to protect herself. She did not want to be dragged down to the precinct. It’s such a privileged and disgusting thing to say I know he was vile, racist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, misogynistic, etc but I “adored” him so much that I went along with it anyway. To overlook the millions of people who were/have been affected by what’s he’s done to this country is atrocious, and that’s me putting it nicely. Nobody wants to read a book of you following your leader down to Florida AFTER January 6th happened. Despicable and deplorable sums it up.

I can’t fathom how anyone adored him. In the 80s he was a snob, his EGO is as big as the universe and he’s a low key crook. I was taught to never worship or stroke any person’s ego only to compliment out of sincerity and humility. I didn’t realize how many people were weak.
