I owned all your vinyl, Astral Weeks, Tupelo Honey, St Dominic's Preview, and on and on. You truly are "The Man".
I am also 68 years old and have been hooked on Van for just short of 50 years. His music has been uplifting and comforting in good times and not so good times. As Elvis Costello said “ for a Protestant from East Belfast there is a lot of the Holy Ghost in Van Morrison”. Van is the Spiritual healer for me.
Absolutely full body, spirit and soul. He only gets better with time. Thank you God for this holy spirit in human body form, singing about you. I am so blessed everytime I hear Van's songs and his renition of life.
Morrison has ALWAYS surrounded himself with wonderful musicians and this concert is a case in point....Pee Wee Ellis excels on baritone, tenor and soprano saxophone, Nicky Scott on electric bass, Alec Dankworth on stand-up/acoustic bass, Georgie Fame ..well what a musician...the horn / woodwind section seem like they're enjoying themselves playing those "traditional" 50's horn lines/riffs...

Gloria, Brown eyed girl ect. And when he bought out Astral Weeks that was it for me, I'll be following Van the Man till the end of my time .
Great album, Van even smiles a few times and looks like he is enjoying himself. Those musicians must feel good that they have contributed to a selection of songs by Van Morrison as he changes his line up all the time, great stuff !
great to find this! - I recorded this amazing concert onto a cassette tape back in 1997 from BBC radio 2 and the tape was played to death and the sound quality was knackered... THANKYOU so much !!

Recuerdo que una vez en dias de cine hicieron un video hablando de Jeremy Irons y pusieron Rough God Goes riding, les quedó un video niquelado. 5 conciertos (2 viajando a UK) y 22 años después (yo descubrí a VM en 2002) y Van sigue siendo mi artista favorito de todos (vivos o muertos) es el puto amo.
