If this was a 1/144 figure, I would have bought it instantly to put it with the RG wing, but after I learned about the size, I just gave up....Now I'm regretting my decision
I have the regular robot damashi Wing Zero tv and it fits perfectly with my 1/144 Wing kits, it is just a bit taller but I like the idea of the first Gundam (in the AC universe) being taller than the ones based on it.
You might save it by buying an epyon tho as they look good together.
This is metal robot spirits, not regular robots spirits and yeah this is on exact 144 scale.
I'm sure Bandai will release proto zero RG, so i'm just waiting. Zero sells so well here in western countries. So it's just a matter of time.
Just a heads up. It's about an inch taller than the RG Wing Zero. I have both.
To me, the best model kit of the wing zero is the 1-60 HG from the 90s. It was all color accurate, it had a led for the search eye in the chest and it is till this date the more aesthetically pleasing of them all for me

I still have that bad boy. In fact, it was the kit that brought me back into Gunpla (before I knew the term) and the community itself. It’s so much fun to build and I would love for this to be made and updated into a MGEX or PG. But this figure would most definitely do. Loved it the minute I’ve seen photos of it upon release.
the keywords; High Grade, 90s, and 1/60, sound like pure blasphemy when strung together like that, but maybe its secretly the best thing ever, I wouldn't know, I wish i knew, but despite watching more than half of all gundam and hours of figure reviews, the only kit I've ever handled was a prebuilt and busted up high grade sandrock in a dusty box in a used toy store, where i physically recoiled at how tiny and rickety it was
Ohh so it was an HG, I "lost" it (pretty sure my cuz stole it) back in the 98 or 99. I bought a MG recently and I was so confuse about the size.
I love how the legs and feet transform for the thrusters in neo bird mode!
I've been watching you for so long, and have watched and re-watched so many of your videos, I've started saying, "On the whole." In my every day life and I had never even heard that phrase before in my life. It just slowly planted itself into my brain until I started saying it without realizing it lmao It especially for happens when I'm talking anything Gundam with people lol
The best part is that it is not to scale it is a 8 inch figure just like the Gundam Universe line, so you can complete the entire Gundam Wing set (if you were lucky to pre-order m.r.s Epyon).
If you guys can manage to get the regular robot damashii Wing Zero tv I think you should, perfect articulation, colors (RG like), scales good with 1/144 kits, and it includes a special manipulator to do the twin buster pose without issues, only downside is it doesn't come with a stand
About 90 something % accurate but it has definitely captured Zero. Definitely an amazing buy.
Was hoping to see the cockpit opened with hopefully Heero inside..besides that and the fact that it has the best bird mode by far is a huge plus and it can hold the buster rifle without any assistance is 2 thumbs way up. 👍👍
I have the GFFMC Wing Zero, and now I get this next week. Going to take the grey off a few parts to make it more show accurate
Rhythm emotion is good but there's just something with Just Communication's song that makes it.... special? But when it comes to opening animation/sequence OP2 absolutely triumphs over OP1
I know what you mean. Just Communication feels a lot more upbeat, while Rhythm Emotion feels more, let's say emotional. I love them both, and I wish they'd used Rhythm Emotion for more than like 7 or 8 episodes.
Just Communication is my favorite of the two personally
This figure DOES have an ab crunch joint inside the torso - it's just a really tight joint. So tight that (on my copy) it almost always causes the ball joint connection for the waist swivel to detach.
However (in Wing narrator voice), it adds even more dynamicism to an already gorgeous figure, and given the perfect transformation I think that crunch needs to be as stiff as it is for Neo Bird Mode.

That's exactly what happened to me multiple times, the ball joint that attaches the lower body to the upper body would just pop
@@MechaGaikotsu Once it's detached, just bend the lower red torso section forward so that the blue section just below the center gem tucks inside the red.

I preordered this back in November, Tamashii canceled my preorder 2 weeks ago due to “lack of availability.” Then they had them for sale at a Convention the next day.
I’m probably never going to buy anything from them again.

on the point of gundam wing openings, i think the first one is the best, i just really like the song, and the scenes of the gundams each quietly and dramatically posing are absolutely iconic

If you managed to get the MRS Epyon as well, it comes with additional hands to further recreate scenes from that second season opening.

For the Mobile suit form base adapter mines seems to be blocked by a screw. Do I just push it in or something? I tried tightening the screw a bit but its not moving and I don't want to strip the screw so I left it alone after a bit.
I got my figure today. Mine has really good ankle articulation. Might have reall stiff ankle joints. Not a bad thing. Only issue like everyone else’s figure the back skirt armor popping off lol
The stand connector in mine is total junk. And I've seen other people complain about it too.
Will this scale well with the RG Wing Gundam? I want get this this and display it with the RG wing and the HGAC stuff, especially since the robot spirits metal deathscythe was shown

I'm having trouble placing my wing gundam zero on the stand. It always falls off. How did you get it on the peg? And how did it stay on?
The leg joints on this are inclined to pop you say? Looks like the wing and I have something in common
If anyone is still paying attention how did you get the stand adapter to stay in? The screw in the more shallow hold keeps it from staying in.
The only thing I want in my Wing Zero Custom or otherwise is that it, can pull off the final shooter pose. I'm not saying that all of my Wing Zero's (Yes I have most of the gunpla) are in said pose. But that does seem to be the holy grail pose of this suit. As most of the gunpla are in capable of it do to the restrictions in the articulation (Yes i know the latest and greatest can).
This figure is nothing like the regular Robot Spirits version. This one is much bulkier and has brand new engineering all throughout the body. Sculpt and detail are also much sharper. For instance, the RD one is a partsformer and it requires you to swap the legs and torso.
The shoulder articulation is also much different; this one has the shoulders that move forward much like the MG freedom 2.0, where the all of the shoulder moves forward. That helps a lot in the when holding the buster ruffle double handed my.
It's nice to see OG Wing suits getting more love. Before, all we get from Gundam Wing needs to end EW.
they really need metal build gundam wing figures. At least a wing zero(original), epyon, tallgeese(1,2&3), heavy arms, death scythe and altron gundam

Does anyone else have trouble inserting the display stand adaptor peg into the figure? Mine doesn't insert all the way due to the screw in one of the holes, not exactly sure what to do

Looks amazing but a tiny bit too small for my liking. I would have liked it to be closer to the MG size. I excuse late UC models, of course.

In Mobile Suit Gundam Wing its called Wing Gundam Zero. While in Glory of the Losers its called Wing Gundam Proto Zero which has a minute redesign by Hajime Katoki. Basically its the same mobile suit. 🙂
It’s an amazing model but I don’t think anything will be able to replicate the amazing looks of the intro Wing Zero

Well I just got mine from Amazon and it came out of the box with a defect. The right leg fell off out of the box and I have contacted Bandai to see if they will do anything about it.

To bad that the shield doesn't have the nose tip expansion feature that the model kit has. But it is a very impressive figure. I do see some difference from the artwork from the opening and the figure but that is the time.

Under the crotch of the Gundam how the hell can you put the attachment on it? One of them have a screw i don’t wanna break anything
On mine the leg can only move forward and back, moving it outward pops it off the ball joint. On the right leg at least - I can't really speak for the left because the hip joint broke the first time I tried to move the leg thanks to the absurdly tight ball joints and poor design/QC.

I like this figure but if I'm about to pay near Hot Toys status I'd expect it to be near perfect and for some reason the metal builds just doesn't fit well with me. If this was an exact replica of the Ver Ka only in metal then I'd be sold right away.

There's the original Wing Zero and the Proto Wing Zero. I'm waiting for the PERFECT Wing Zero.
This means the variable feet thrusters of the original, the large multiple binder thrusters of the original and from the Proto Zero, both the wing design and the shield (shield wings fold for storage when not in flight mode). That combination would make for the the most "realistic", aerodynamic version of Wing Zero. 💯

I prefer the design of the MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Proto Zero EW more. It still has some of the classic TV version's design but has some modernized aspects.

Metal Builds are close to 1/100 and more expensive.
I have this figure and I think there is an error. The base adaptor is meant to fit into two holes on the crotch but one has a screw in that obstructs one of the pegs going in. I’ve tried everything including tightening the screw but it won’t fit. Massive disappointment as flying poses are essential for Wing Zero! Does anyone else have this problem or can offer any advice?
The screw should be recessed enough so that the shorter peg can fit into the same hole. If not it sounds like you might have a bit of a factory error on your hands. Try contacting whoever you bought it from about it.
@@MechaGaikotsu thanks so much for the reply, but does confirm my fear that it’s a manufacturing error rather than me just not figuring out how to do it properly. I’ll have a go with a better screw driver of seeing if it goes in anymore.
Got the wing zero as a gift for a buddy of mine; and we could not figure out the peg! We thought it was a factory issue, but wouldn't believe it cause of the price paid lol...
