I went to a destination 3000km away with a forfour. 0% problems, 100% fun.
Here I am in the end of 2019 thinking of buying one of the last petrol automatic cars that have 71 break power at a Mercedes-benz dealer... Thanks to you my dear guy I got sold!

I am still stuck on my 2014 smart for two, I can’t help it I just love this little thing. The big one looks OK, but I don’t know it just doesn’t say cute anymore. I mean I’m sure it’s useful for some people that’s the reason to get a smart car is because it’s cute and small.

Since this video was published Smart do now indeed offer a "stripped out, poverty spec" model again, the forfour pure for a not exactly budget price of £10,490. Though really, you'd be hard pressed to call this "poverty spec" over the Passion since it comes with certain kit that the Passion lacks as standard (like the adjustable driver's seat, electric and heated mirrors and adjustable steering wheel).
smarts re very durable, easy to drive in the city, good for shopping, mine is often a moving store.
As a first time buyer ,its not just pricing that's the problem ,its also Insurance pricing and the insurance on this car is relatively dirt cheap ,even without a black box ,so it's in my consideration range
Just a correction for you, the doors are actually metal on the forfour not plastic covered as on the fortwo.

I own of Forfour base version with 90hp and just airco. Very happy with it, true compact, only on the highway it's a bit scary.
I never had a problem with the engine heating the stuff in the back. I only drave it 5000 km per year. I'm 1m95 and it's fine.

Before I had a Toyota Aygo as our second car, the first model, that was truly a cheap gocart. I would have preferred the toyota IQ. But the 4four is just fine as a second car in a family with 4 people.

@@how-to1675 When there's heavy wind, it feels a bit unstable above 110 km/h. The car has an electronic compensation system for this, but even then.
My car before that was a Toyota Aygo, that was even worse, but the Smart has a stronger engine, so you are tempted to go faster.
You mention that the 90hp engine is Renault-sourced but never say the same of the 71hp unit, instead stating it's smart's own engine. Just to clarify both these engines are Renault engines and are both used in the Twingo, of course, too.
Why the back different from the Smart Fortwo I thought smart for four was the Smart Fortwo with 4 seats

@@xynstav wow i did not expect a reply to a comment that you put 3 years ago lol - and i swear it only gets around 40 to the gallon. and produces a lot of co2 per km so road tax for them is high in the uk

Build quality is utter crap, after service is dire from both MB and
Smart, steering is noisy, cruise control is dangerous and stop/start
doesnt work. STAY WELL AWAY!
