Well, it's only as you get older that you realise twenty, thirty, forty years isn't actually that long. Life is short and for people in their 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, Macca of Beatles fame still making music is not a surprise or a strange thing.

He has so much money that the interest he'd get in one year is likely more than you earn in your entire life. He could do nothing since long already, he could be sitting down in an armchair and watch the Jerry Springer Show. He would NOT NEED AT ALL write songs, tour, and listen to lousy comments about his voice being not anymore as great. But he does all of this. And occasionally, there is still a gem among the songs he writes. That is at an age when some others are fet with porridge by a nurse. And occasionally when he's fit and all the stars are shining bright from the sky, that is when is when his singing still shines and his bass still has the magic. Then he puts everything into his pocket what's played by others somewhere in the world in the same minute. THAT is what he is in for. Money he does not need, Mr. Agent.
"Where am I going wrong? I don't know." "What am I doing wrong? I don't know" I think every adult on the planet has asked these two questions... and has the same answer.

No not even close, he is just one of the longest serving...Prince comes way before Paul McCartney, so too does Sting and the Police, ABBA and many more, he is good but not that good
One can easily argue that you don't get a Prince, Sting, etc. without a McCartney, Lennon, Dylan. Dylan once said that McCartney was the only songwriter he was in awe of.
Clapton also has always been awed by McCartney. I think even the other Beatles were. After Abbey Road came out, Harrison was being interviewed. He commented on Paul's great melodies on Side 2, and said something to the effect of, "We (he and the other Beatles) have no idea where he comes up with these tunes." Chris Martin of Coldplay said that whenever he gets too big-headed about his songwriting abilities, he listens to some McCartney to bring him back to his proper place.
A thousand years from now when the residents of this planet study the history of music..the name Paul McCartney will be the measure by which all music will be judged..He is a genius!!
Maybe it's just with all the recent deaths of people i've admired in recent years (family members included) that has got me to reflect on how short life is, and to appreciate what you've got while you have it. Music is one of my favourite things in the world, and at the forefront of that for me is The Beatles, particularly Paul and John. At 24 and favouring older music, an incredibly large chunk of my favourite musicians have passed on. A lot of them, years before I was even alive. but Paul just keeps on going. As much as I love John, he's been gone for almost 40 year's at this point. George left us almost 17 years ago. What an incredible gift to have Paul and Ringo keeping the magic alive, even in some small way after all this time. For many of us under a certain age, it's the closest we will ever get to the magic of the fab four. Rest in peace John and George, and long live Paul and Ringo, thanks for the music!
Division Day Productions I'm 31 and I relate to what you've said. If you are able, I recommend going and seeing people like Paul and Ringo in concert (and whoever else you love) while they are still alive and touring. So sad to think what it will be like for younger people like us when our favorite musicians are all gone :(
Same. I'm 17 and I feel like I was born in the wrong decade, but I'm trying to make the most out of what I have. The Beatles broke 30 years before I was born, John died 20 years before I was born, and George died when I was a baby, but I went to see Paul in 2016, and just yesterday I saw Ringo. I am so excited for this new album because it makes the fans from our generation feel a little bit of the magic from the 60s. Thank you Paul!
You can say his songs are in the past, you can say Paul is nothing without the Beatles, you can say Paul's time is over... but this song proves you're wrong.
You're my favorite singer and I'm excited that you keep making such good music, thanks Paul. Thanks to you I got to play guitar, bass, piano ... All that thanks to you and your music
Them : Paul Mccartney has reached the zenith of musical greatness. He's got nothing more to prove to anybody. Paul : I've got so many more lessons to learn.

Fantastic song, highest level. McCartney always has unusual melodies and progressions, he's an amazing songwriter, but every so often he really produces a masterpiece.
Paul McCartney without a doubt has to be the single most musically talented individual who has ever performed or recorded.I have followed his career from the beginning and after decades of composing, singing and playing many instruments, his wellspring of talent only appears to grow.A simply amazing man.
I just can't believe, but I can hear it. And I start to cry begging for more...thank you, Paul, the most beloved being on our planet. It's wonderful to be here, it's certainly a thrill...
What I like about the song is its recognition that love=sacrifice. The singer has all these problems, but he's not going to lay them on his love because he tells her to "sleep tight/I will take the strain." His love transcends his immediate pain. The song perfectly captures waking up in the middle of the night being bothered by something.
I just love constantly being taken by surprise as to where his melodies and chord structures are going to take us next. He’ll always be my top musical inspiration. Bloody fantastic, Paul!😊👍🏻👍🏻
Heard this song on my way into work this morning and was immediately captivated. Took me a few minutes to realize it was Paul McCartney singing. Absolutely lovely.
*I don't really like* when all the people in the comments compare this to whatever paul or beatles did in the past. This is something completely unheard and it's amazing. This man doesn't look like he'll ever run out of inspiration.
This song gives me chills. It’s meant for his voice now, but imagine some of his more recent songs sung in his 1960s voice. His last few albums have been great. He’s on a roll.
The most amazing thing is, Paul never changed a single bit. There is still Paul in every single fine piece. The grace he showers us with his music never changed. Everytime I see Paul, I see love. Thank you Macca. You are the best!
Wonderful song. Wonderful album. For all the difference in style it reminds me of nothing so much as David Bowie's The Next Day. A master in complete command.

After hearing this song for 2 years, I think it's a bit of a classic from Paul. I love the piano work on the song and the way it builds.
Definitely a classic. Just an incredible masterpiece.

Paul's a living legend. He's still out there writing these masterpieces! Love this!
Ah, if only most songs on the radio still sounded like this
James Rolland nah....im good
Hyper Hurley nah.... youre special
A REAL SONG! I was so scared it was gonna sound like every other artists selling their talent to sound like everybody else thats trendy this days..
I know right, so much shit these days.
There was tons of shit back then too. Just like there's tons of great stuff today. But it sure aint on the radio all that often...
The fact that he's bringing songs out even today is just beautiful ❤
A $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
AgentHEKTAH Yeah money is a perk of the job 😂
Agent.

"What am I doing wrong? I don't know"
I think every adult on the planet has asked these two questions... and has the same answer.
Paul has the ability to get people´s feelings and show them in his songs....that´s why we love him

Paul McCartney - I Don't Know
Artist: Paul McCartney (James Paul McCartney)
Album: Egypt Station (2018)
I got crows at my window, dogs at my door
I don't think I can take any more
What am I doing wrong? I don't know
My brother told me, "Life's not a pain"
That was right when it started to rain
Where am I going wrong? I don't know
But it's alright, sleep tight
I will take the strain
You're fine, love of mine
You will feel no pain
Well, I see trouble at every turn
I've got so many lessons to learn
What am I doing wrong? I don't know
Now what's the matter with me?
Am I right? Am I wrong?
Now I started to see
I must try to be strong
I try to love you best as I can
But you know that I'm only a man
Why am I going wrong? I don't know
But it's alright, sleep tight
I will take the strain
Yeah, you're fine, little love of mine
You will feel no pain
I got crows at my window and dogs at my door
But I don't think I can take anymore
What am I doing wrong? I don't know
Now what's the matter with me? I don't know, I don't know
What's the matter with me? I don't know, I don't know
What's the matter with me? I don't know, I don't know

Thank you !
What a legend, what a talent, we love you Mr. McCartney, thank you for being in this world, you make the world a better place!!
Sounds just like a song from "Chaos and Creation." Paul is the greatest pop composer ever.
No not even close, he is just one of the longest serving...Prince comes way before Paul McCartney, so too does Sting and the Police, ABBA and many more, he is good but not that good
Sorry, Paul Harrison. I disagree with your choices.
Maybe Paul has ran out of ideas and is just repeating himself?
Wonderful song, a masterpiece 🎵 so deep, powerful, authentic and full of emotion! I really feel it.. Nobody does music like Paul 👍
In a fairly recent interview McCartney named this song as one of his personal career favourites.I certainly think this is a great song.
Mightily impressed with this song. A late period McCartney classic I'd say.
Yes, the chorus is as good as anything he has written. So beautiful.
Agree with this.
Paul McCartney has blessed us with impeccable music for the majority of his life. He is truly an irreplaceable man
This song gets better and better! Heard it quite a few times now. Another masterpiece from Sir Paul!
Peter Christian Trapp yes!!
A thousand years from now when the residents of this planet study the history of music..the name Paul McCartney will be the measure by which all music will be judged..He is a genius!!
A truly great song from the greatest songwriter of the past 100 years! Amazing!!!
Joseph Guerriero who was this champ from the last hundred?!
What do mean, ever, Paul, is the best in any way
Disagree in bob dylan
PAUL IS THE GREATEST! GREAT NEW SONGS!
I have a deep emotional connection to this song. ❤️ 😢 😢
"Hello Goodbye" touched my adolescent heart like know other. This one has a similar sweet vibe.
So sad to think what it will be like for younger people like us when our favorite musicians are all gone :(
I'm with you guys and I'm only 21 😢
agreed, 27 here
I feel ya, 26 here
Oh yeah

His voice has held up incredibly well for how much singing he’s done for the last 60 years
Egypt Station is number one man! Oh I can't believe that! Thanks Paul for this beautiful music
.
As an Egyptian, I love this song very much. I came back to listen to it in 2023❤
I think Paul's voice is perfectly suited to compositions like this and I'm thrilled to hear new material from him. Nice drawings, by the way!

One of the best intros I have ever heard in a song
Fantastic song, highest level. McCartney always has unusual melodies and progressions, he's an amazing songwriter, but every so often he really produces a masterpiece.
This song is beyond it's years. I cant stop crying when I listen to it.. This is a masterpiece
Can't even describe the feeling of finally listening to something new by this music God. Thanks, Macca
New Paul single and album is always a reason to celebrate!
Paul McCartney without a doubt has to be the single most musically talented individual who has ever performed or recorded.I have followed his career from the beginning and after decades of composing, singing and playing many instruments, his wellspring of talent only appears to grow.A simply amazing man.
He still kicks ass on the bass
Yep the bass line is fantastique.
This is amazing! It sounds so Paul's classic
Absolutely genius Paul McCartney!)
Wow. Nice interpretation.
You just read my mind x
Well put brother! That's it!
Wow! He's still got it..... musical genius.... this is beautiful.
Two new songs the same day !!!. Merci Paul !!!! :)

No, NEW was a few years ago if you see what I mean. Strange how something from years back can be NEW, but there it is.
Damn. I can't get this song out of my head.
anyone listening to this in 2024 with me?
i’m here because I suddenly missed this song
Me too!! I suddenly just missed this song today and had to hear it. April 20 2024.
5/6/24 it is a good song
I am, but I don't know how I found it. I feel like I relate to it. But. I don't know.

76 years old and his creative genius is still fully intact... We are very lucky to still have Macca with us. Long Live Paul!
Touches the soul. Absolutely beautiful. Nobody can write a melody like Paul.
I just love constantly being taken by surprise as to where his melodies and chord structures are going to take us next. He’ll always be my top musical inspiration. Bloody fantastic, Paul!😊👍🏻👍🏻
Surprising chord changes indeed :

What am I doing
Heard this song on my way into work this morning and was immediately captivated. Took me a few minutes to realize it was Paul McCartney singing. Absolutely lovely.
I always feel very appreciative that Paul is still alive, and healthy, and creating, his presence on earth has been a GREAT gift to our world
Great song and McCartney's talent is intake - simply the best ever - he should play this song in concert
*I don't really like* when all the people in the comments compare this to whatever paul or beatles did in the past. This is something completely unheard and it's amazing. This man doesn't look like he'll ever run out of inspiration.
I love his new stuff as much as the old ones... I just realized which account i'm on :D..
true. this music is enough
This made my week. Paul is incredible
This song gives me chills. It’s meant for his voice now, but imagine some of his more recent songs sung in his 1960s voice. His last few albums have been great. He’s on a roll.
He always said to never stop doing what you love. And he continues to blow it out of the water. He's amazing!!!! Love me my Paul!

One of the most beautifull song i've ever heard. You have never lost your touch!
Amen to that.
The most amazing thing is, Paul never changed a single bit. There is still Paul in every single fine piece. The grace he showers us with his music never changed. Everytime I see Paul, I see love. Thank you Macca. You are the best!
I agree! ♥️
Even that weird song with Rihanna and Kanye have that Macca too
Macca, brilliant as usual...Love this...and the best bass guitar player evah...He led the way.
If you love music then there has to be at least one song by Paul that you will like. He is that good. And I have to say that I love this new song.
I love the haunting sound of this antique piano.
I haven't anticipated an album so much in so long.
Same here. I listened to the released songs and went to purchase the CD but saw it was not released yet. The first three songs are all good.
Same here too.
Then you guys must be very disappointed.
Wonderful song. Wonderful album. For all the difference in style it reminds me of nothing so much as David Bowie's The Next Day. A master in complete command.
