Great information I'm a retired truck driver , I've been looking at older coaches for the quality and lack of emissions your videos have been very helpful thanks 👍.
For $30K, in such stupendous shape, and just what I'd like to have (no slides, N-S bed, storage compartments, driver's door, on & on), you should have shown "me" something else as the envy I have towards its next caretaker is ridiculously high. What a shaming video towards the modern manufacturers. You picked the right one to show. What an eye.
DOUG!! Great video!! Greetings from the sandy shores of Lake Huron!! Thanks for your ongoing efforts!! Been here since day 1!! All the best brother!! GIDDYUP!!
I agree that it is nice to see videos of older, quality RVs. As much as I like Andrew Steele, all he shows now are million dollar coaches which are a 1% population market. Thanks for showing this Pace Arrow…great coach!
I like seeing the old ones as well James. I own a Fleetwood, 2007. It’s a lot like that pace arrow. A little more modern. I think those are affordable for most people out there looking to get started. Thanks for the tour.
Hello James, love these older motorhomes, if I was in the market I would really consider this gas coach. But I have a 1998 Fleetwood American Dream that we love ! Great video, thanks for sharing!
I've been driving a 2003, 33ft Fleetwood Flair with 2 slides for years. I have looked at hundreds of newer and larger units to see if I wanted to upgrade. I have not found a better floor plan yet. I have lived in it on and off through winters in AZ and summers in Colorado and it is still holding up well. Kudos for showing off the quality of yesteryear!
Thanks for the tour James. You made me appreciate my 2004 Fleetwood Southwind 32VS well maintained workhorse chassis with 75k miles even more. We had a Fleetwood Coleman popup back in 98-99 and it was a high quality unit. I also have a 2018 Montana fifth wheel and the Southwind quality outshines the Montana., but our Montana is a are model with a full bath tub across the front for DW. You cant put out enough of these good videos for me! Thanks again!
I have only recently come upon your you tube videos and find them informative, educational , practical and entertaining. It’s nice to see a Bob Villa of RV s on You Tube. I have watched videos on RVs basically selling the high end models and seldom saying anything bad about them . I have a friend who just 2 weeks ago purchased a 2012 Winnebago Sightseer 35 and I am afraid to ask him if he checked the roof? Or recommend your videos to him if he hasn’t. Anyway I appreciate you taking the time to produce and publish these videos. Thanks
Great rv. We have a 2000 Fleetwood Bounder ourselves which has some similarities. I totally agree with you in saying that the rv industry do not build todays rv that could last 20+ years like yesteryear in my own opinion. I definitely believe in constant maintenance and I really enjoy your show. Thank you for sharing.
For a 99 she is super solid! And I would have to say this coach spent a lot of it's life indoors, she's way to nice to have sat outside for over 20yrs and still have all it's factory roofing materials.. Great coach!
I agree. Wow no separation of the outside / inside luan walls, and no mold or leaks. That specific Fleetwood is indeed a rare one of a kind scars example.
Thank you for the tour. We have a 1999 34N Pace Arrow Vision. We use it often and would have to spend much more to gain any more enjoyment in a replacement.
Answered many questions about Fleetwood and Pace Arrow of late '90's. Was also interested in the V-10 and forward engine w/ no negative comments from you. Always liked the driver's door you get on coaches of that age. Thanks. +
Yes, show the older gems. In 2016 We bought our first class A, a Suncrusier 29' Chevy version. It was solid! The two main reasons I upgraded after four years were the P32 chassis was scary to drive and the brakes would barely stop it going down any grade over 6%. The colors were perfect. I could still get parts for the house side and some engine stuff. All the chassis AC parts were obsolete and took a lot of time finding newer parts that would work. They no longer made most of the parts for the 4K generator. All the house appliances were original and working fine.
Nice coach, but it’s not a diesel pusher. I agree the older coaches are much better. I bought an 2003 Country Coach and love it. It’s 19 degrees this morning and the Hurricane furnace is working perfectly, very comfortable.
We just bought a 2008 Fleetwood terra 33 for $30K. It has all the options and only 13K miles on it and for most of its life it was stored indoors in climate controlled storage. It looks a lot like that Pace Arrow except it also has two slide outs. Looks brand new inside and out and everything works flawlessly. Interior is a bit dated but is in perfect condition. It has the Class A chassis with the V10 as well and the engine fires right up and runs smooth as glass. Generator is the uprated 5500/50Amp and is perfectly clean with almost no hours on it. For our first RV I think it is perfect. Can't wait for spring to hit the road!
My favorite Pace Arrow Visions are the 1995 through 1997 models. Those ones have round headlights on the front and round tail lights on the back, makes it look like a bus. Beautiful machines.
We had a 1998 Fleetwood Southwind 32 diesel pusher, on an Oshkosh frame. It was a great motorhome with the mid entry door and the driver’s door like you’re showing. We upgraded to a slide out with the front bus style door. The slide out does make a big difference as everyone knows, but there are advantages to the mid entry versus the front entry door. I think your spot on with your assessment of the older models being better built.
I have a 2008 Raptor Toy Hauler. Half hauler half rear bedroom. Cosmetically it is being redone but interior is in excellent condition. I was really surprised when we bought it 3 years ago. We lived in it thru a fairly cold winter and it was pretty easy to heat.
Nice tour of that pace arrow rv.hope to see you doing more repair videos on your channel soon my family still loves watching all your videos.over the holiday we binged watched some of them to remind are selfies how to work on a few things in you showed us when we make are final decision on what kind of rv/motorhome to buy and hope one day to be able to come by your shop and meet you and have you work on what ever we get or show us how to work on are stuff. We are a family that loves how how you say your cheap on things we are also and try to find ways to fix things on a budget without spending thousands of dollars.so again keep up the great repair videos and inspections on your channel. Have great rest of year hope to see more stuff from you soon
Wow, what a well maintained RV. I wound up buying a Custom Coach Corporation MCI bus conversion, it was actually their show coach for 1982, which is still in very good condition, especially on the inside. It has been a lot to take in for a newbie, and they are expensive to bring back up to snuff, but once that's done, just routine maintenance. I'll get there eventually. Your videos are what got me interested in owning a drivable RV, as well as Andrew, with his Prevost videos, so I chose something in the middle. Keep up the good work, I still enjoy your videos.
I have a 2007 National RV surf side 32c (second owner ) in excellent condition. I was ready to sell and get a newer one but after your video, I decided to keep my old lady...and not pay extra for a new motorhome...
Thanks for showing this. We had a very similar 1995 Winnebago Adventurer that was not quite as well kept. We traded it in on a 2007 Winnebago Voyage in February 2020, just as covid hit.
Yes the built quality shows. Back in 2017 we bought a 2003 HR Admiral in pretty good shape too (paid $29,000 for it back then) and kept it until earlier this year. Then switched to a 2001 Foretravel u270 with no slides. What is produced nowadays by the big RV manufacturers is frankly deplorable.
Finally speaking some truth 😜 I have an old pace arrow and it's like a tank! As solid as a sky scraper. Absolutely in love with it. Had for almost 10 yrs now.
Interesting how the builders shared notes. This Floor plan is nearly identical to my 2000 Winnebago 32v with the exception that mine has a dinette sofa slide out and basement AC. And yes that longe chair had to go. 😅
I try my best, I had 4 of the last 10 videos showing direct RV repairs or how to's. It can be difficult to run a shop, do repairs and film everything but I appreciate the feedback.
The seats on my Coachmen 380MBS from 2000 are still in fantastic shape and it has a about 75k miles on it. A lot of other things on mine are not built nearly as well as this Pace Arrow however.
Love seeing the older units at better price points. So many people don't realize how much better the older coaches were built. Yes, they need cosmetic updates, but that allows you more freedom to customize it the way it fits your own needs. The newer coaches have such stagnant layouts that you can not change as easily. When your purchase price is less than 35k, you can then afford to invest in new hot water heaters and roofs. When you buy a newer coach, your money is sunk on that payment each month, hardly any available for upgrading or maintenance.
That's when they were built good I appreciate it finally something in my paygrade. I got a 96 Itasca Sun cruiser Winnebago just as good as that one. I got it for 12 grand four years ago. It's 454 but it's OK. Only 93,000 miles today me and my wife love it no slides.😂😂👍🔥💯
Just a couple years newer than the Pace Arrow I currently own, ours has many of the same features and a few differences. Ours is not in pristine shape like that one but is still quite functional. I wish I had the window awnings (my '89 Pace Arrow had them).
There is a hidden gremlin in this coach, it's called CPVC plumbing! I have a 2000 Bounder that is almost identical to this one in layout and all the plumbing was junk when I got it, and I literally replaced every last piece. Not a job I ever want to do again, and that coach may very well be due for a plumbing overhaul.
Our first motorhome was a 1995 Damon Intruder. Not as well built as the Pace Arrow but even without the heavier build quality, it was challenging to keep it under GVWR fully loaded. I seem to remember the RV magazine scribes of the day usually reporting that some RVs, including Fleetwood, while well built were many times over weight for the gas chassis available at the time. So, with all the features you covered, that looks to be a heavy coach! Nice to see something so well loved by the previous owner though.
You definitely have to upgrade the tires to a heavier load capacity on these old gas coaches. And remember, the original axles will only handle so much before they break.
Nice to see someone display an older unit that was well built. Whenever people ask me what to look at so many others give me grief when I say I wouldn't look at anything newer than an '05 or '06. My '04 HR Traveler still looks like it's only four or five years old on the outside and maybe six months old on the inside. Aluminum roof and sides, nothing rattles or squeaks and the roof and exterior walls are built with aluminum framing.
I really appreciate you showing this type of motorhome. It appears that they were built better back then and I'm in the market for something like this. Live near Prescott and would like to have something dependable that we can see the state with. Looking to sell our 2008 Airstream and have something we can just get in and drive off. Thank you
Cool video, really nice and the low miles. To bad there are no slides, but still works. For the price, a person could do some nice work and turn it into a very sharp class a. Interior work I mean.
That rig is definitely well taken care of! On a different note, is there a way to get ahold of you? Long time viewer and finally made it down to Apache Junction with our 2004 Monaco Windsor.
Watching from my 1999 Pace Arrow Vision in the Arizona Desert..... I have slide outs.... full time one year no problems (other than a pack rat)... I paid 15K..... its a tank.....
From $6K to $73K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.
VENTURING into the trading world without the help of a profesionals, trading and expecting profit is like turning water into wine you would need a miracle.
Very engaging right from the beginning These are tough and frankly I appreciate how you discuss global finances in such a delicate way. Business and investment
Experted Ann Marie strunk was my hope during the 'bear summer' last year. I did so many mistakes but also learned so much from it, and of course from Maria strunk.
Just sold a property in Alaska and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying it's ripe but Is this a time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $450k gains within months, I'm really just confused at this point.
Enough of a time capsule that you'd be paying the disposal fee on two CRT TVs, plus feeding a gas V-10 engine. I think it led a pampered enough life that someone now can work it hard by living in it for a few years, as long as they don't travel too often or far. Maybe good for a Canadian to spend winters in, in AZ, and store it down there indoors in summers.
Great video but as I have said before older rigs cant be financed and when traveling cant be allowed into most RV camping places..so boondocking might be the only option...my RV is timing out also so im faced with the same great video as always
Hey James does the heater only work with the generator or can it work independently I have a 1999 georgie boy landau and can seem to get the furnace to work its,a duomatic air and furnace so what orchow do I get it to work right the blower kicks on in the back but it doesn't seem to get warm help please
Hey man I love your content I think I’ve seen every video at this point. I have horrible luck picking motorhomes my last one I sent to auction because the roof blew off in a storm. I’m not sure if you would ever consider it, but it would be great if you made a video about some budget options for the less financially blessed people like myself
I’d be curious what your thoughts are on the Monaco/holiday rambler gassers of the same time period. They have aluminum roofs and a lot of the build quality of the more premium DP models.
Nice walk through. Wish they still made them with that quality and craftsmanship! Could both AC units run on 30 Amp with that thermostat if soft starts were installed, or does the thermostat control prevent that?
I feel like there might be a bit of survivorship bias going on here. When we see old things in really good condition it tends to make us believe that old things were made better but we're only seeing the one that is old and in really good condition. For every one of those there's probably a thousand that are sitting in a scrap yard somewhere. I'm not saying that these weren't made better but it's always important to keep survivorship bias in mind when evaluating something like this.
Great information I'm a retired truck driver , I've been looking at older coaches for the quality and lack of emissions your videos have been very helpful thanks 👍.
Thanks for sharing an affordable yet top notch Coach
Just imagine if they still offered such value today... Great tour!
For $30K, in such stupendous shape, and just what I'd like to have (no slides, N-S bed, storage compartments, driver's door, on & on), you should have shown "me" something else as the envy I have towards its next caretaker is ridiculously high. I am glad you enjoy the videos!
You chose the best coach to show me! What a gem. Great video. Thank you.
I have the same one but a 2000 with a slide. Its been great for me for 15 years.
The Pace Arrow was there too of the line for gas
Very nice coach. I like seeing some of the older ones.
I agree that it is nice to see videos of older, quality RVs. As much as I like Andrew Steele, all he shows now are million dollar coaches which are a 1% population market. Thanks for showing this Pace Arrow…great coach!

Glad you enjoyed the tour.
Beautiful older coach, built right and built to last for decades.
Such a cool rig thank you I could watch 10 more of those instead of the new ones. Mine is an 05 and I’m trying to get it to that condition.
Loved the tour
Great coach love the no slide and north south bed. Thank You for showing this coach.
What a great motorcoach! A blast from the past!
Thanks for showing this coach. I'm looking for a class A and this is one I could actually afford in these trying times.
Not too trying if you are motorhome shopping 🤔
Hello James, love these older motorhomes, if I was in the market I would really consider this gas coach. But I have a 1998 Fleetwood American Dream that we love ! Great video, thanks for sharing!
This is why my handle is Bounder Chris :) I always buy Fleetwood products from 02-08 they are in my opinion built very well
I've been driving a 2003, 33ft Fleetwood Flair with 2 slides for years. I have looked at hundreds of newer and larger units to see if I wanted to upgrade. I have not found a better floor plan yet. I have lived in it on and off through winters in AZ and summers in Colorado and it is still holding up well. Kudos for showing off the quality of yesteryear!
Great condition RV, will be sold very soon now because of your video.
That was a fun one, James! Thank you. But that Liberty... Daaaang...
I would wager that the RV has been kept inside, for most of its life.
Thanks for the tour James. You made me appreciate my 2004 Fleetwood Southwind 32VS well maintained workhorse chassis with 75k miles even more. Those are also super easy to maintain. Super old Fleetwoods are the hidden gems of the RV world. 💎
I've always know this.....
I had a 2015 Fleetwood Bonder
I had 2 stress cracks in the bedroom slide Fleetwood would not cover it. I now have a Tiffin Allegro.
Answered many questions about Fleetwood and Pace Arrow of late '90's. Was also interested in the V-10 and forward engine w/ no negative comments from you. Always liked the driver's door you get on coaches of that age. Thanks. +

I worked in sales for a Fleetwood dealer in Fresno CA in 2004 and my favorite gas motor homes were the pace arrows and South winds
We just bought a 2008 Fleetwood terra 33 for $30K. It has all the options and only 13K miles on it and for most of its life it was stored indoors in climate controlled storage. Outstanding condition, wish I was able to find a gem like this when I was in the market. 👍🏼
James i have a 96 american dream thats what i did with tv is now a fireplace keep up the good work happy thanksgiving to you and your family

Awesome coach!
That’s a nice one. Very well maintained. Ready to go. Thumbs up 👍
Thanks for showing something affordable.
Very close to our 1999 Holiday Rambler, except we have slide outs and no leveling jacks. Don’t laugh, we love our Spacemaker radio!
This is exactly what I’m looking for. A well taken care of older model like this. I’m in California so it’s a little too far but beautiful.
Really shows what indoor or covered storage vs outdoor storage results in after 30 years.
It is a very nice coach and it can be used as is right away, no mod necessary!
Finally speaking some truth 😜
I have an old pace arrow and it's like a tank!
I'm looking to buy something very inexpensive to live in, I prefer no slide outs. This is perfect
I miss your old videos of you showing us how to fix an RV.
I try my best, I had 4 of the last 10 videos showing direct RV repairs or how to's. It can be difficult to run a shop, do repairs and film everything but I appreciate the feedback.

yes indeed, this one is a very nice departure for your channel

“Well-maintained” is the tough find these days. A lot of these older coaches were used until their owners got too old and eventually neglected.
Still very nice! Thanks!
That rig is definitely well taken care of! On a different note, is there a way to get ahold of you? Long time viewer and finally made it down to Apache Junction with our 2004 Monaco Windsor.

The fact that I got to learn and earn from her program is everything to me think about it, it's a win-win for both ways.
That had to have been stored indoors most of its life, but what a fine specimen
great video
Nice blast from the past! Sadly, With only 75,000 miles it has been sitting around for most of its life. What a shame.
Enough of a time capsule that you'd be paying the disposal fee on two CRT TVs, plus feeding a gas V-10 engine. Maybe good for a Canadian to spend winters in, in AZ, and store it down there indoors in summers.
It's been well taken care of, also has anyone ever told you, you look like Walter Goggins the actor?
Bought a 2000 pace, sold it in 2020. Wish it was a diesel
I have a 99 newmar mountain aire on same chassis and drivetrain very similar layout munus a slideout.
Great video but as I have said before older rigs cant be financed and when traveling cant be allowed into most RV camping places..so boondocking might be the only option...my RV is timing out also so im faced with the same great video as always
That thing is in remarkable shape. I wonder if it was parked indoors when not in use.
100% of the time
The previous owner cried when they traded.
Nicest trade in we have ever received!
Wow. I always thoght those Pace Arrows were crap. Lesson learned. Thanks AZ
I've been trying to tell people for the last 10 years and all they do is just call me a f00l
🤣
I knew James would get around to it.
Nice Fleetwood it would be more modern with darker paint theme.
Thank you
What should you clean a rubber roof with? and What should you cover it with for the additional 5 years?
rubber roof cleaner from dicor, almost any coating will work with the understanding that it is only putting off replacement for 5 years max
Hey James does the heater only work with the generator or can it work independently I have a 1999 georgie boy landau and can seem to get the furnace to work its,a duomatic air and furnace so what orchow do I get it to work right the blower kicks on in the back but it doesn't seem to get warm help please
My 1999 Fleetwood Storm 30 H was a tank.
I bought it new in May 1999.
Price $49,000
I have a question about the Tiffin Allegro Breeze, 33 feet long, 45000 miles. Should I did into this further or pass?
THAT was way cool..
Hey man I love your content I think I’ve seen every video at this point. I have horrible luck picking motorhomes my last one I sent to auction because the roof blew off in a storm. I’m not sure if you would ever consider it, but it would be great if you made a video about some budget options for the less financially blessed people like myself
That was 😎
I’d be curious what your thoughts are on the Monaco/holiday rambler gassers of the same time period. They have aluminum roofs and a lot of the build quality of the more premium DP models.
Nice walk through. Wish they still made them with that quality and craftsmanship! Could both AC units run on 30 Amp with that thermostat if soft starts were installed, or does the thermostat control prevent that?
I've never tried, it has an amp clamp so possibly it might work
I feel like there might be a bit of survivorship bias going on here.
