The Truth About Learning Euskera Outside of the Basque Country

But there are a surprising number of cheap or even free resources for you to teach yourself Euskera from anywhere in the world. In this video, I'm sharing with you the pros and cons I've experienced when it comes to studying Basque on my own.

I’ve been studying on my free time for a few months and if you ever need a buddy to practice with pick me 😂 none of my family speaks Euskara. So I’m kinda alone on this. I’m half basque and wanted to learn my native tongue.

The real problem in learning Basque is the different dialects of the language that sometimes makes it difficult to understand and even becomes unintelligible from one side of the Basque Country to the other, and also from valley to valley. the language variations of the Basque dialects like Lapurdian, Navarrese, xiberuan and Guiputzkoan have many differences among them written words like:
Euskera, eskuara, euskara, uzkara and euskarbatua

That’s not a problem anymore because younger generations speak ‘euskara batua’ (unified Basque) as well as their ‘euskalki’ (dialect).
