You still can run binary logistic regression if your dependent variable is categorical. Also in your example, the P values are higher than 0.05, and hence there is no statistical significance in the analysis conduct which does not warrant any inference from either the "b" or "Expo(b)".
Thanks for the video ! So do you run the model for two variable with the same configuration (statistics, criterial, etc) by using all the variables? And can the same strategy be done for the independente variable type of porcentage? Or just for only dummies? thks again
Hi. If I recall, it's a sample file in SPSS. Details---cereal.sav. This is a hypothetical data file that concerns a poll of 880 people about their breakfast preferences, also noting their age, gender, marital status, and whether or not they have an active lifestyle (based on whether they exercise at least twice a week). Each case represents a separate respondent.
Hi and thank you for the video! In the multinomial regression which we have, we have one semantic scale (1,2,3,4,5) which is the IV and the DV which is the enjoyment (1,2,3). The IV (the semantic scale) is a factor or covariate???
@allan general what if my dependent variable is continuous. For e.g. different choice set size ranges1-5, 6-10,11-15, etc. I've coded it as 0,1,2,3... Should I use multinomial logit or some other model?
Hi! I've got a similar case. Dependent=> coded :1 , 2 or 3 Factor(s) => Gender: 1 or 0 I Keep getting this message though at the beginning: Unexpected singularities in the Hessian matrix are encountered. This indicates that either some predictor variables should be excluded or some categories should be merged. The NOMREG procedure continues despite the above warning(s). Subsequent results shown are based on the last iteration. Validity of the model fit is uncertain. What do I do?
Please help !!! Whats wrong if my results came with this statement? Unexpected singularities in the Hessian matrix are encountered. This indicates that either some predictor variables should be excluded or some categories should be merged. continues despite the above warning(s). Subsequent results shown are based on the last iteration. Validity of the model fit is uncertain.
HI, Your video is really helpful to understand the analysis but I have a problem. While running Multinomial logistic regression in spss, I found some missing values of wald statistic and sig because of the zero standard errors and displaying the result "Floating point overflow occurred while computing this statistic. Its value is therefore set to system missing." Please help me to resolve this problem.
hello, i need help!!! what happened if my results come with staement like this, ?????>>>>>>Floating point overflow occurred while computing this statistic. Its value is therefore set to system missing.
Please help i need to perform a multinomial logistic regression in SPSS. I have more than 20 independent variable to work with What happen is that in my likelihood ration table...I am not being to acess the signance of any of these 20 variable in SPSS what should i do else?
If my dependent variable is ' the decision to work or not to work' and the code are 1 = work 2 = not work and 9 = don't know Is this case consider as the multinomial logistic case? thank youu :)
Dear Doctor, your video saved my day. Thanks a lot! It helped me so much!!! Your explanation sounds so clear! A thousand times thank you!
Thank you so much for this!! I got really stuck on these tests while writing my thesis. Your video helped me so much!

Very clear exposition. Students take note.

Very useful training. Dr can you share the data set??

It was so wonderfully explained....thank you so much
Could you share your dataset about this video? Thanks
Is it possible to run a hierarchical multinomial logistic regression in SPSS?

Hi, how can i plot multinomial logistic regression in SPSS? With categorical DV, and a continuous and categorical IVs.
What if I have aggregate counts (so variable case frequency) rather than each row being a different individual?

Goddamn, after reading those comments all I could think about was the sounds of his mouth.

thank youu :)
hi xD
what about mariginal effect
sippp...thank u
Ya neden hiç Türkçe bir bilgi bulamıyorum bu konu hakkında 🙄
very good hope u can teach more ~~~ save more master or phd
Thank you!!!!!
if can ONLY keep the mic away from your mouth. I will be focusing more on the content.... thanks.
Clearly Cereal is better than Oatmeal. Target is ordinal
Really U made me angry and upset bcuz the way u r talking
