I just got this watch on the 17 th. I can't believe it as I ordered it on 11-11. I got the SS bracelet. It is so comfortable. I have almost perfect alignment of the bezel and the second hand dots ( the 120 click bezel helps, but the alignment is very good on mine. No time grapher but it ran tight the last 24 hours. This watch is a hit for me at least. Did not expect to love it like I do.

I adjusted the time twice, over two days, by pushing the brass top stud on the time adjuster a tad anti clockwise as it was running 2 mins in 24 hours slow. Voila I got lucky! It is now 4 seconds slow in 24 hours. Incredible!
It got magnetized twice from my mobile phone magnetized cover strap. I bought the cheap blue demagnetizer from Ali Express along with a blue two stud adjustable back case cover remover. I found the demagnetizer worked perfectly when one holds the watch slightly above it and removes it upwards slowly turning the power off at a height of about 5 inches above it!

@@ismailkaanaricithey are everywhere I just bought one for about $9 and some change. You only have to put in demagnetizer and look for a blue one they are all the same. There are different videos on these devices on TH-cam that you probably are aware of.
I have this same watch; I agree with you 100% this is easily the best value-for-money watch on the market right now. For the pricepoint, what it delivers is phenomenal.
I just bought another one of these, this time in blue. The case changed slightly around the crown guards. The bracelet is much better. The only thing that went the wrong way is the lume application on the hands. My first SD1970 is after several years much brighter and more even. It's as bright as the indicies on the new one. But as bang for the buck, these are the best. And yes, you can dive without any problem with these watches.

I have the watch on a bracelet and it is a beauty . Looks a lot more expensive than it is. Like you the crown is rather difficult to operate, but its not something that is used everyday.
It's really in an incredible watch.
I put mine on an Uncle Seiko GL831 rubber strap and haven't looked back lol this watch just looks the business, ready for adventure wherever you find it.
I have bought 3. 2 PT5000 and a Nh35. The Pt's are a little temperamental regarding the keyless works function, but I've investigated and this is due to the Chinese being a clone of the ETA2824, which has the same issues. It does not hack or always start and in the first one I got, the stem and crown came off the movement when I tried to hack it. So I got a second one and had similar issues, so I decided to better settle with a NH35 which is bomb-proof albeit slower BPH and maybe less "refined". My advice, is to get the Seiko powered one.
I did not know this, thank you so much for this information. Previously I had been considering that movement. I've already got a drawer full of nh35 and they work fine.😂 Lesson learned here, just leave well enough alone.
@@bigriceburner I swapped the PT for a "better" quality one it has the HK PT5000 stamped and it has worked like a charm. With the ones that come from the factory is a hit and miss,but the original ones are beautiful, almost cosc workhorses.

Great review, agreed it's amazing value for money. I just bought my third one in blue. I noticed some subtle changes and upgrades from the older ones I bought about a year ago. The main one is the improved clasp👍

Mine should be here today. I considered hemdahller, Rdunae, Tandorio, and most everything that looks like a Willard. The Rdunae is closer to what the original was and it appears to be the most finely finished one under macro, which I put all my new watches through. But I'll only look at it that closely once if there are flaws and imperfections I'll gamble on it. Recently I got their hulk green/black sub homage and I see no issues anywhere at all. That's why I want to give this model a try. We are at least in version two of his piece.. I know the quality will be there as they have had time to perfect the total package. I'm binge watching apocalypse now just to get ready for it's arrival.😊
Great Review and totally agree with everything except bezel play. I have purchased one, adjusted it in every way and even inspected it under my magnifying lamp and this watch is faultless. I must be lucky as my bezel lines up at the 12 and no bezel play or wobble.
Very happy with mine. Feels like a $1000 Seiko turtle to wear. I own other JE Edition Seikos to compare and am very impressed!
Reading about Steeldive crpwn and stem issues have kinda put me off buying them. bought the Addies version instead.

@@ihmpall even though I searched the internet for extra codes for discounts, what I did was collect all the coupons I could inside the App and collected coins for around 2 weeks prior to the sale.
All the discounts didn't apply the same way for other models or brands of watches, but for the SD 1953 and the SD 1970 they did, and I opted for the 1970 model
I was floored when I saw the final price on the checkout screen. I wasn't really sure about buying the SD1970, but at that price, who wouldn't!
Since the strap is 20mm; I'd prefer it not have a taper at all.
Unfortunately, it’s difficult to find 20mm rubber straps long enough for an 8” wrist.

hi there. my sd1970 goes +2s a day when it is on table or on my wrist and im sitting in office. when I move my arms violently when I walk in park it can accelerate rapidly and after 40 minutes it gains +10s. it that normal ? or it is broken ?
Do i wind these or selfwind?
I just don't like the lug part which is only 20 mm. According to you, the lugs could be sanded to make them wider to 22mm😂.

I already ordered one.. but it is strange that on every channel that reviews this watch tons of positive reviews are all from accounts using name1234 style names. Weird.
A while back YT went through and assigned new channel names for everybody. I dont know if the number is because I (or we) didnt respond or if the numbers represent channel types.
It has its flaws, but for the price I think is a very good deal.

perfect watch, i have many seiko *citizen eco drives, but i where this sd1970 Willard watch from USA every day, +1 second /per day. NH35 !!

These only exist because Seiko is pricing its watches way too high. It has a real Seiko movement so it's essentially a Seiko. Deal with it.
