Those who are new to this channel, trust me Sahaj sir's words are golden. He never imposes anything on you, he just gives his point of view and leaves the decision to you. Do give a thorough thought to what he says. Also, go and watch all the videos in the TLOI Talks playlist. Thodi si chhaan been karlo is channel pe, it will change your life.
I wish I had seen the previous year's video on this topic and saved alot of time and money as well as steered away from frustration. If you are right out of XII and consonant with your expected level of performance, chances are that you'll be fired up and shall have the mindset of facing the next situation with pure determination and will. Then you end up taking a drop year to "refine" yourself. Let a month pass and you'll observe the feeling of uncertainty and dread in your head. You'll start having negative thoughts - not just about CLAT but about life itself. The reality is that extreme. All your plans and schedules for self- development will fade away once your mock scores start to stagnate. Then you'll realise that tackling CLAT and Boards examination is a completely different ballgame. I can't express enough the smile I had on my face when Sir went through the "Make the decision in a calm state" part. If I could go back in time - I'd definitely slap myself and make my younger self consider the decision again and again. It's your job to know what you are SIGNING UP FOR. On paper, it's pretty simple - study 3-6 hours a day, do things you don't like, commit to it and so on. But once your momentum, flow and willpower breaks - you'll see what I'm talking about.
@@manasupadhyay2979 This year I have given clat and bhu law entrance...but couldn't crack it....now my parents wants that I should pursue ba llb from city law college jankipuram extension Lucknow...but I want to do law from a reputed college...now I am thinking to take a drop...I am really confused regarding it...I think that law degree from reputed colleges matters... please if you can guide me regarding this....I will be very grateful to you 🙏
@Anushka Singh In the end, it all comes down to your choice. But before you decide to do anything else, make sure that law is the right UG course for you. Your parents aren't wrong. CLAT is a highly unpredictable exam and overrated to say the least. Following sir''s advice, ensure that whatever college you get into, it should be known/reputated. Symbiosis, UPES, etc are good options. But then again, if you are deeply curious and well versed in this field and you have the skills plus the courage, a non-reputed college should never ever make a massive dent in your career. Or you can just make your parents watch TLOI videos haha..All the best
Lil late, but here's my two cents on gap years- 1- Just like sir said, BACKUPS are essential. 2- I know a friend who dropped for DU and the paper this year, was as usual unpredictable, and he couldn't make it this time too and is stuck. 3- Luck and calibre matters. Sometimes, some people are lucky and some are not. Tutions/coaching can't help you in clearing a law exam (atleast). Law is a different subject altogether, and as harsh as it sounds, you have it or you not. 4- Gap year isn't wrong, wasting it is! One drop is suffice for 5 year law, if you can't make it, get a degree and start studying for 3 year law entrances! Time is money 5- Last but not the least, sir is the most logical person out there. If law was a human, this is what he would be like.
I was consistently getting around 100 in my mocks and today was a thanos snap (16:45) my attempts were around 80 (I wasted time in Maths), glad I took up a backup college after watching your video.
Sir posted a video on taking a ‘drop year’ for last year in May or June and it changed my life. I did miserably in CLAT 2019 taking a drop because of personal reasons which I didn’t see it coming and was thinking of preparing for CLAT 2020, in his video he said to either get in a non NLU or take any professional courses like CA or CS. I did both and it was the best decision ever. I owe my current predicament to him, where i am moving forward in my career. Getting past the CLAT fiasco was difficult at times ,it made me depressed but you eventually get over it and will see it was just a part of your life and not the end of it. I cannot thank him more.
That video has a seperate fan base and saved many souls last year especially considering this year's pattern & question paper. This is not an exam or even a career for which you can afford a drop. Everything is offset by your competence in the coming years.

Yes for mumbai colleges GLC(maybe)PGCL (definitely)Rizvi (worst case scenario) most probably you will get GLC if you have Maharashtra domicile and if you're from outside Maharashtra like I am so you will need around 130-135
