Don't get discouraged. Let that feeling be your motivation to keep working hard for what you want. You want to be a dancer, then keep fighting for it. I'll try to post more videos you can use. I have always thought that it is difficult to understand the difference between "grand jeté " and "saut de chat ". It's seems to be the same but I am not at all à spécialist ! I practice classical dance as an adult, just for my pleasure. Thank you for sharing the video. Isabelle. (from Belgium )
Isabelle, hi. there are different styles of ballet: Russian, Cecchetti, etc. I'm sure many could argue the differences. But it is my understanding that the Saut de chat uses a developpé for the ascending leg, while the grand jeté is achieved by using a grand battement of the ascending leg
