Am I early enough to get a response? Even if not, thanks for being awesome. I don't even watch regular TV any more. All I ever want to watch is LunkersTV, Scott Martin, and most of all LFG. You've even inspired me to make my own channel that's still in infancy. Thanks again x 100 for all the hard work you put in the videos and channel.
Good job, LFG, you scarred that Smallie for life. It's gonna have PTSD flashbacks of the time it went to eat a rat and a weirdo giant sniffed, hugged, and kissed it.
Man this brings back memories. I used to have a relative that lived on this little private lake near the NY/Vermont border. It had loads of Pike in it. Not giants by any means. I think the biggest we caught was 36 inches or so, but we had them all to ourselves. We used to throw those SnagProof Boss Rat and Moss Mouse lures religiously, and the pike went nuts for them in the summer time. So many crazy blow ups. I was barely a teenager and that's what got me hooked on fishing for life. The blow ups were so crazy, I can still remember them all these years later like it happened yesterday. We went through packs of those baits one after the other, pike would tear the crap out of them. We'd fish them above submerged grass that came up to about a foot below the surface. The pike would dart out and blow up violently. Most violent blow ups I've ever experienced. I still throw a white moss mouse from time to time for bass. Not too many pike in the lakes I fish now. Loads of their smaller brother chain pickerels though.
Happy to stumble across this one, man! My PB northern was caught up there on the Canadian side. 47” gator. I was working as a summer camp counselor in Minnesota and the camp ran multi day trips up to a property they owned up there. One of the best summers of fishing I have ever had (and I grew up fishing the Shenandoah and lived in AK for 7 years). One camper hooked up with a musky that was probably flirting with 60” and it thrashed and swam off with the spoon after pulling the snap straight on the leader. We retied and the same kid picked up a 28” walleye shaped like a football. INCREDIBLE fishery. 🙌🏻
lol! Justin! love the Canadian accent ! I'm from Saskatchewan and grew up in Alberta but live in Silsbee texas now. you put on a good accent miss fishing the Canadian lakes.
I love how these fish just get pulled out of their homes to get held by a giant monster. The monster proceeds to smile at the fish, kiss them , smell them and throw them back to go home to tell their families what just happened
LFG, you're truly an admirable guy and I look up to you a lot as an angler. You have the best YT fishing channel, by far IMO. Look forward to your future content and I hope you have a great Fourth of July!
Catching pike is an awesome experience. My PB was 14lbs. I really enjoy your vids. Keep cranking them out brother. We have a lot of big rivers and lakes here in southern Michigan and a lot of pike.
I was up in Ontario in early June and I really enjoyed the Pike more than I thought I would. The group I was with was constantly targeting Walleye, but being a bass guy and used to making a lot of casts I found that boring pretty quick. I thought I was going to be all about the smallies, but next time I am up there I plan to split my time going for the toothy boys and bronzebacks. Also, I used a larger BBZ rat up there on my last day and was able to call a couple pike up in stained water in those same sized waves. I lost 2 different trebles + their split rings from ~20" Pike, they are vicious.
If you only have ever fished in Hawaii then you definitely never caught a freshwater. Probably only salt or hybrid there. Salt water is always fun though!
Launch fee at my home lake....Lake Berryessa, Napa County CA. is $20 off season, $25 high season. A very deep lake with more shoreline than Lake Tahoe. Everything here is ridiculously expensive!
Alot of people don't know this but we have huge Pike in Nebraska, we have big smallmouth and big northern strain bass. I've caught a 8lb, 2 7lbers, and a bunch or 5 and 6.
I'm from Alabama been fishing for 20yrs mainly bass fishing an I love it nothin better then bass an were I'm from I've called thousands of large mouth an spotted bass an don't get me wrong I love catching them could do it every day an be happy but I've just always wanted to catch a beautiful dark brown an bronze small mouth an feel the fight just one of my bucket list things maybe I will one day
The shot of landing the smallie with a eagle/hawk overhead was epic 👌🏻 and all fish love a zoom horny toad largemouth smallmouth pike and a friend of mine actually caught a mondo bluegill on one
props on handling those pike in the yak especially how slimy they are. they get crazy in the boat cant count how many times i have been less than an inch from getting a treble to the hand when they freak out after looking calm. you should really try and do some musky fishing if you can but if not pike fishing is definately where its it because you will be getting big pike and the giant smallmouth will a lot of big pike lures especially jerkbaits and swimbaits.
I have yet to catch a pike, that is one of my goals! BUT, I don't think I could resist targeting the Canadian smallies! I'll get up there one of these days. Great vid. thanks
hey man , I just want to say keep up the great job I'm a 20year old angler and I love your videos I hope one day you can come by Alabama and fish with me.
If I were to go up there for only one type I'd have to say the Northern Pike due to the fact I can catch small mouth down here in Tejas. Love the videos LFG keep em coming.
I didn't realize that smallmouth fishing is Colorado is pretty comparable to Canada's. If you are every in Colorado, check out the smallmouth fishing here.
Ok... so overcast day with wind is a good day to throw a rat for smallies... lol wow. Glad you loved our Canadian smallies, if you want even bigger smallies - come hit Lake Simcoe in southern Ontario!
Catching smallies is way more fun. Where I live u can often catch both largemouth and smallmouth at the same time. Pike have become a major sport fish up here in the northeast.
Justin, at (8:05) those little ducks swimming so peacefully, I once saw a pike or muskie take one right off the top of the water. Quite a sight. If I were to go up there, I would be taking my wife and we would target: #1 - Me: Muskie, just keeper size so I can get it mounted. Her: Smallie #2 - Me: Walleye, good eats. Her: Smallie AND #3 - Me: Smallie as they put up a decent fight AND they also taste good. Her: Smallie. Any way I go, I am blessed as I have her with me!! :) God Bless Dude and have a Happy and SAFE 4th of July.
Justin I love how much passion you have for fishing I have it as well thank you for such good content keep up the good work cuz I know the Texas fishing stuff right now I'm in Southeast Texas and the bite is slow. I am a fishing freak all the way!

Good job, LFG, you scarred that Smallie for life. It's gonna have PTSD flashbacks of the time it went to eat a rat and a weirdo giant sniffed, hugged, and kissed it.
"you're so naughty when your gettin caught" you really do love fish.
Nice Pike!! A lot of people think they're a nuisance...I think they're a bonus!
LordDarkHelmet The big ones fight hard! Everything smaller/average I feel some fight and some don't
There best fish you can catch if you ask me they eat all other fish and top of the food chain and fight the best
It's weird a lot of people love fishing for them but those same people get annoyed af when they catch them while fishing for other species

The big reason I fish for pike is because it is just like bass fishing. They fight like crazy! Love this video!
Love the part of you hugging that huge smallie. My side is hurting from laughing so hard
Lol hugging that smallmouth had me in tears.
a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work. the Winston smally comparison made me laugh , Winston is a laid back dog
looks like a great time in Canada. what a fishery
Canadian impressions spot on! Ya’all come back soon ya hear!
LFG! Amazing Trip man, keep up the awesome vids!
I love how these fish just get pulled out of their homes to get held by a giant monster. The monster proceeds to smile at the fish, kiss them , smell them and throw them back to go home to tell their families what just happened

Catching pike is an awesome experience. My PB was 14lbs. I really enjoy your vids. Keep cranking them out brother. We have a lot of big rivers and lakes here in southern Michigan and a lot of pike.

Launch fee at my home lake....Lake Berryessa, Napa County CA. is $20 off season, $25 high season. A very deep lake with more shoreline than Lake Tahoe. Everything here is ridiculously expensive!
I think you'd enjoy fishing in a belly boat / float tube that would make for an awesome video! Keep up the great work too!
Another fantastic video from the LFG Man! I think I would target Smallies and hope to catch some Walleyes for lunch. That would be a win win!
Alot of people don't know this but we have huge Pike in Nebraska, we have big smallmouth and big northern strain bass. I've caught a 8lb, 2 7lbers, and a bunch or 5 and 6.
I like how as soon he hooks a northern pike he starts talking like he's from the north
Pike are my favourite fish to catch. Good fight and great eating.
Daredevil, red and white or yellow with red diamonds for pike!
92xl for sure caught hundreds of pikes on a dare devil
Red/White 3/4oz is my fav. Great lure
you dont need all this fancy gadgetry just get a five a diamonds bud
Spoons are classic. Husky Jerk is one of my go to baits too!
Chatterbaits are great too
They luv that mouse ,huh? its that neon tail and the action!
You and your wife are awesome. You both do a great job. I would go for Pike that looks fun!!😁
gotta get on those bullfrog catch and cooks with OSG!!!!
I fish for both! Walleye mainly for dinner though. The pike are awesome to catch!
While everybody else is doing "challenges" trying to just catch one fish on these lures, LFGs over just crushing them
them smallies are vicious fish...love em they are one of the most strongest fighting fish....just like you said tough like a bulldog.
I never knew that you could throw those rats in that kind of chop. I learned something today. Thank you sir.👍🎣👊

Used to fish Northwest Ontario every year growing up. That's a beauty right there. Hard to guess off a video but he looks 40+ easy
Speaking of fish hitting baits too big for them, I got a pretty little crappie hit a flicker shad
always great videos and informative
I wonder what that smallmouth bass was thinking when u sniffed him and then hugged him🤣
Finally somebody gets that smallmouth fishing is a better fight than largemouth
"Look at the girth! Mmmmmmm!" -LFG 2017

"I mean what am I gonna do complain here?" lol I wouldn't!
