Awesome video, Bo! I just switched from messenger bags to backpacks for my daily carry, and using multiple pouches is my current preferred method to store and organize my items. I re-watched a bunch of your old videos to really get a sense of how to organize my daily carry perfectly inside my bag for my needs. And thanks to your videos, I decided to purchase a bunch of inexpensive "travel pouches" that I use to compartmentalize my daily stuffs and electronics that I bring to work, and this multiple pouch system truly works well! I am now able to take just what I need by bringing just the "correct" pouches inside my bag based on what kind of work that I will do on a given day. I guess modularity has really helped me to become more efficient and productive!
I have this pouch but of a different brand. I can say that it really is useful as it holds well all of my cables, flash drives, power banks, and adapters. It fits so much that it still has space left.
That's one of the best Kickstarter products I've backed! It's true that because of the elasticity of its materials it tends to take funny shapes, and it's also true that sometimes it feels like it has too much fabric/ material. However, these are, on my opinion, its strong points: the elastic fabric allows bulkier items to fit well in the bigger compartments, and the many pockets and straps allow smaller items organisation. Of course, that's a matter of preference, and a simple pouch could do the same job for people who don't like compartments, or prefer something with less pockets and a simpler design. For me, the most important is that I have all my main computer accessories and gadgets in one place, ready to go from one backpack to another.
I really like this side by side joint .. personally I wouldnt need to put so much stuff in it . I’m actually thinking it could be a tiny bit too big for my needs .. I’m still actually tempted to buy it though . 😂 I have been mostly using Topo design pouches but I did buy the Bellroy tech pouch last week to match my bellroy classic plus and small pencil case .. The bellroy pouch holds my MacBook charger , Samsung T5 ssd drive , Chafon 6 in 1 cable and a Anker power bank ..
I have been using this pouch for one month and it’s a staple item in my Aer techpack, aka my mobile work station. It’s holds most of what I need while a second large pouch from Topo Design. I find this to be much more efficient way to keep all my cords, small accessories and items that i use each day in one place. I am not able to fit the extension cord for my MacBook Pro here so it occupies a separate slot in the bag. Modular packing is crucial with tech items.
This pouch looks good, I can foresee myself using it. I use the Incase MacBook sleeve that has enough pockets and additional smaller pouch to pack my laptop and chargers, etc. But for smaller stuff, e.g. power banks, MP3 players, cables, screwdriver sets, other essentials; I use an 8-inch Grid It organizer that can fit into my smaller sling bag.
Great Vids Bo! Love the channel. I use a North St Pioneer 9 Hip Pack. It's a great bag with just enough internal organisation without being too bulky with material. All my cables go into the front zipper pocket. SSDHD ,memory cards and EDC items in the internal zipper pocket, and the bulkier items like battery pack, mouse and laptop charger in the middle. Best of all, as the name suggests, it converts into a Hip Pack or a handle bar bag if you need to carry a bit extra when you are on the bike. Take off all the straps and it becomes a normal pouch. Also the build quality is fantastic!
I know what you mean: All that organization is nice in the beginning, but after awhile you tend to go back to simplicity. That's also the reason why my extended edc is inside the simple Trakke pouch that has no organization. For bags there is a certain sweetspot of the amount of organization
I use this pouch, but I feel that’s it’s got too much fabric / material to be efficient. I’d rather have one simpler pouch and then maybe something like a tech wallet for small cards and items. The best this pouch is it’s dimensions / shape, which makes it versatile for fitting into slings other interesting tech bags. This fits perfectly in the Peak Design 10L sling, and in one of the compartments of their every day backpack.
Hey Rob. Agreed. All the fabric does make it a bit "full" and therefor not as efficient as it could be. But that's always a trade of of lots of organization unfortunately
This is good for bucket/top-loading style bags like topo bags since it's long and easy to grab. I personally like the Bellroy Classic Pouch because I don't carry much outside of powerbanks, laptop charger, charging cables, mouse, little edc tools and daily essentials like breath mints and eaburds, but it fits a lot. Organizers with a lot of external fabric and external material are too bulky and heavy.
Great video as always! I’ve been using the field pouch by peak design. I really like the design and how it holds everything, the fabric is a bit stiff, hopefully it will give a little with use.
Nice review Bo. Personally I won’t use this pouch. I don’t carry as many tech gears as you do. But I have to admit the use of this expendable material is a great thought and gives a great design to the pouch
Thanks for the review on this organizer. I am using it now, it holds a lot of stuff and does not occupy that much space in myba. And the founder creator was very nice. Where can I buy the Trakke pouch . Love th color of that pouch. And can you review the Maxpedition Entity 23 L backpack. I know this is made by a company that makes tactical gear and accessories. But they made this line to cater to both (tactical and. non tactical ) population. I’d like your perspective on it as most reviews I’ve watched were made by tactical guys and gals. Thanks. Love your reviews. Oh and they have bigger sizes as well uti I chose the 23 as most of backpacks are between the 20-25L capacity as it’s the size that fits me well.
Thanks for watching 😉 ✌️ the Trakke pouch is for my extended EDC th-cam.com/video/l29KJ1HDhL0/w-d-xo.html I got it directly from their website. Maxpedition makes some cool stuff. Would love to test one of their bags in the future
I use about three pouches I got a CF/SD card holder, I got a pouch for my chargers and cables both are made by Think Tank Photo. and I got a tool bag for my motorcycle in which I keep flat tire repair tools,a multi-tip screwdriver and other minor bits.
@@Youknowthebo LOL I went back and looked in my bag I have five 😆 1 for CF/SD cards. 1 for lens filters. 1 for first aid stuff. My CF-SD card reader 8gb flash drive. extra set of earbuds.
I prefere hard shell pouch as they dont change their forme/size and protect what's inside so you know what place exactly you can expect in it and it to take in the bag. The down side it's they are a little more bulky. I bought one from Ugreen who looked like jean outside with a nice handle who goes around the pouch when in the bag. But they seemed to have discontinued it.
I don't travel with electronics save, my phone, but this would make a great pencil, pen, Sharpie, notebook and other miscellany for my Blackhawk Assault pack that I bought in 1985 that doesn't have built in organization that's all the rage in backpacks now. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching , mate! Yes, for pens or any other small items this would be great as well. I also could imagine using it for tools or survival gear. Although it's not that durable made for tools
Bo I noticed you have never ever review any Peak Design product. I've been using Peak Design tech pouch and I am loving it! The size is just right but also very spacious. Maybe you should check it out.
Ha! I use a multiple pencil pouch like pouches (bigger than pencil pouch) to carry most of my tech items. Multiple because, rarely used cables go in one and other to carry mostly commonly used items.
Thanks, Rohit! I got it directly from them. But I would suggest to google it in your country. Maybe you can get it without having to deal with custom fees and international shipping
Great video as always man! I was wondering if you can do an update to your camera video set up /photography edc or something like that :O I remember when you used to talk about your Fuji x100f for photos I think?
Hey Erik. Unfortunately not much has changed. I still have the a6300 with the kit adn 10-18mm lens. I rarely or rather never use my Fuji x100s (It's really old). If I ever buy some new gear I will definitely make another gear video
@@erikvalenzuela9625 I used to have the GH5 or was it GH4? One of the two. As videocameras they are awesome, but due to their sensorsize the ISO capabilities were lacking for my needs. If you don't film a lot with high iso, then what they are offering is awesome
@@Youknowthebo yeah I recently got a g85 new for a great price and I was thinking about selling my a6000 with lenses and go all in with micro 4/3 system

Love your videos. I also use this pouch. On a separate note, someone copied one of your videos...the Pakt One video. Search for Pakt One and you will find your video on a separate channel.

Hey Gerald, That's a big pouch if you want to carry your overear headphones in addition to everything else. I also use the Velomacchi Tech Pouch. I can fit my Bose QC25 in there , some cables and my mouse. But overear headphones unfortunately do take a lot of space.
Thanks, Muhammad! I wanted to check out a cocoon grid, but it was still very expensive here in Germany a couple of months ago. I need to check how much they are now. Maybe I'll buy one for myself

Thanks for watching. I actually like that it is that long. It makes it easier to find inside the bag (especially inside top loading bags) and it doesn't take away that much space because it extends vertically and most things inside bags usually slide to the bottom and this "stays" in a vertical space. Not sure i described that well enough
