      well the west had a stronger economy then the soviet union and also kinda made it so that the soviet union didn't lose to germany because while the soviet union had the gun and weapons, they did not have a good supply system and needed like half a milion us trucks/jeeps and also a LOT of trains. basicly soviets would have the advantage for the first month and then suffer from supply issues while the usa would only start to land troops in europe. then the west would become stronger very quickly and start to win the war.

      yeah sure, in 1936 and VERY MAYBE. Both the USSR and USA were still very much emerging and not superpowers yet. In the game, the USA is not existing on the world theatre untill at least 1940 due to progress blocks in place where world tension needs to rise first. This should fire in 1945 and be much closer to reality.

    Realistically a Soviet victory in Europe is always gonna be the case, The Soviets can industrialize faster and America is to far away to effectively send reinforcements in time every time their front breaks, if the cold war would´ve gone hot then the US would be isolated like the UK in ww2, and incapable of doing any invasion without nukes.

      Its sad to see how some belive the ussr to be this great industyal powerhouse. Even when they threw 6 million men against the germans 2.5 mil. in the end of ww2 the soviets still lost 2 men for every German they killed. The only thing the ussr have is manpower. Alot of times they could not even feed its own people while some in the comments are saying that nations that could produce cars this each family household did not have the power to fight a bunch of hungry soviets. Btw, in 1970 the warsaw pact had a population of 346 mil while nato had 554 mil. Nato would beat the soviets without help from the US at that point.

    This is actually pretty much exactly how I'd expect a war like this to go down without WMDs. For all intents and purposes, the "iron curtain" was more or less all you could describe NATO's defenses. We (Americans) would have to rely on existing anticommunist resistance movements like Solidarity (Poland and Hungary), Forest Brothers (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania), and "revenge" movements in Ukraine, Germany, and Finland. This timelapse shows those quite well. But in the end, numbers, power, and industry talk.
    Even today in our timeline, the USA would have to mobilize at least 30 million men at any one time to win WWIII if China, Russia, and Iran were the Germany, Italy, and Japan of today (imo their governments, ideologies, and military doctrines correspond quite well. Ukraine might be proving to be Russia's Greece, ready for China to bail them out)

    • @Backomator
      @Backomator 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      This is pretty far off. Any point past 1965, the best the Warsaw Pact could get was a draw, the Soviets could never realistically match the population or industrial power of the USA. Not to mention technology, waves of men become useless when they get gunned down by automatic fire, and that’s not mentioning the fact that the American lend lease act kept Russia alive during WW2, if it weren’t for American industry they would’ve folded. And I mean even in the modern era, ignoring nukes, Russia and China still could never win a war against the west. Population wouldn’t matter since you can’t exactly enlist 10 million people with the snap of your fingers, and that’s ignoring the fact that western technology extremely outclasses Chinese and Russia paper tiger tech. It’s one of the reasons that China or Russia can’t throw men head first into the front lines anymore, they’d get absolutely shredded.

    Я люблю как люди с Запада думаю, что русские и жители других советских республик ненавидят Сталина. Конечно сейчас отношение негативное и то где-то лишь на половину, но тогда люди были гораздо более патриотическими и тем более после ВОВ они не только умели воевать но и имели экономику, что перестроили на военный лад, гигантское количество техники и людей в армии, а так же могу сказать что каждый был готов работать на благо фронта. Революция не могла бы случится, тем более если бы кто-то и попытался, то надо помнить, о том, что тогда у власти был Сталин,а уж он бы такие проблемы решил
    I like how Westerners think that Russians and residents of other Soviet republics hate Stalin. Of course, now the attitude is negative (although more half-hearted), but then people were much more patriotic, and even more so after the Second World War, they not only knew how to fight, but also had an economy that they rebuilt on a combat path, a huge amount of equipment and people in the army, and I can also say that everyone was ready to work for the good of the front. There might not have been a revolution, especially if someone had tried, then we must remember that Stalin was in power then, and he would solve such problems

  • @noahramey9593

    Whether the soviets would win or America would win really depends on the time it took place. The soviets ruled the early years of the Cold War while the U.S. slowly came back and ruled the later years of the Cold War. I don’t know much but I’d say in the 40s, 50s, and 60s the Soviet Union was stronger than the U.S., the 70s was when the U.S. started overtaking the soviets so that could go either way, and the 80s and 90s would definitely go to the U.S.

      @@tolyayt7784 Oh yes. Let's say hypothetically, all men somehow died. The women aren't going to get pushed around that easily. Sure... if it was hundreds of years ago when physical strength was key to a fight, they would get ragdolled. But in this modern age where all you need is a gun to kill any man regardless of strength, the women would easily be able to rise up. Same thing happened with the Allied powers in WW2, such as in France, or in literally any other war where women played some sort of role contributing to a victory.
