Classic Game Room reviews WORLD HEROES 2 from ADK for the SNK NeoGeo MVS (lots of three letter names here). New characters and great music complete this silly, entertaining fighting game with 2D visuals and three button action. World Heroes 2 is a straight forward fighting game with high contrast visuals and two modes of gameplay, normal and DEATH MODE! Insert quarters for a good time and rock your friends or the computer with goofy fighters like Rasputin and Erik the Viking. CGR World Heroes 2 video review has World Heroes 2 Neo Geo MVS gameplay. World Heroes 2 is also available for the Neo-Geo AES and Neo-Geo CD game consoles (and some PlayStation 2 collections as well as Virtual Console, but it may not be available in all regions)
Mi really miss these two gentlemen! After a hards days work these videos would make my day.
love how back in the day fighting games had vibrant backgrounds and memorable soundtracks not like the forgetable generic technocrap we get in modern games.
This is because the characters in the game are based on real-life historical figures which makes this game all the more fun, especially on the Super NES.

This game is now part of the Arcade Archives series along with World Heroes and World Heroes 2 Jet.
Should have a whole show of just you two playing games. This was next level CGR.
I have 2 fighting games in my Neo Geo cabinet... Fatal Fury: Special, and Samurai Showdown. They are quite challenging, Fatal Fury is really hard though, i always play Samurai Showdown...
One of the best NEO GEO games ever. Still can't figure out why the announcer pronounces Mudman's name as Madman, though...! I also love the music. Other systems have ports of this game but nothing rocks it like the NEO!!🙂🕹

World Heroes 2 was a good game. And one of my personal favorites despite it not being as popular as other SNK franchises.

I have never seen World Heroes 2 being demonstrated in such a way that made me want to play it before. It is just dumb fun.

WH2 is one of my all-time faves. I got so good at it, I could beat the game on one quarter.
I had world heroes 2 jet on the gameboy. Loved that game, and still do. I think I'll play it right now!
Snes version with the deathmatch thing and electrified fences was AWESOME
I used to play this to death as a kid. Coz the bigger guys used to hog all of the street fighter 2 machines

There's a World Heroes collection on the PS2. I also have all of them on my Neo Geo multicart. They're silly, but fun.

Yeah! World Heroes 2. So much fun with this game back in the days. It's still a very funny fighting game! It was released also on the SNES (poor porting...)!
Neo Geo X release is near. Let's hope SNK, after porting like every Neo Geo game, starts to make some new game. Like World Heroes 3. The world needs World Heroes 3 :)

Haha, I was shocked a few months ago when I heard someone ask someone else what a VCR was. Makes even a guy in his 20s feel old.

Your monitor is experiencing "foldover" on the top and needs recapped. A cap kit is about $8 and someone with soldering experience can install it. I fixed a House of the Dead last week with the same issue.
World Heroes some love it and some hate it.Though as a series it never takes itself seriously.By the way mark,you don't need to keep feeding it credits to play.Check it's dip switches and set it to free play.If you need to know it's settings check the hardmvs site.

I was going to say he needs to get this fixed soon, because last video I saw with his Neo-Geo it was still there, but he did a note on it, so hopefully he will do it soon.

I would put World Heroes slightly below Fatal Fury (at least from 2 on) and Power Instinct, and quite a bit below Street Fighter (again, from 2 on, but that should be a given), but still toward the top of the pack of golden-age 2D fighters.
What will they think of next? Maybe they'll come up with a yearly crossover series of fighting games, and because they're so awesome, they could be called something like "Emperor of Fighters" or something like that. The title is still a work in progress.
Hey Mark I'm pretty sure you can set these on free-play mode. It'll save your back.
