Don’t Get Got is different from most other party games. For a start, you don’t sit around a table to play it. It’s designed to run in the background, which means you can literally play it anywhere - at home, on holiday, in the office or at a party. No matter where you are or what you’re doing, you’ll always have to keep your wits about you... there’s no telling what the other players might be planning.
To start, each player is given six cards to carry around. On each of these cards us a mission - one that requires you to trick one of the other players in some way (such as “Hide this card inside a jar and get another player to open it” or “Make another player yawn”). The aim of the game is to complete three of those missions before any of the other players.
Sounds easy? Well, there’s a catch. As you can imagine, a lot of these players might be feeling a little paranoid - yourself included. If you try to complete a mission by, for example, getting them to help you with a stuck jar, they might try and accuse you. If they’re correct, you must give up your mission card and remove it from the game, putting you at a pretty big disadvantage.
So, to succeed in this game, you’ll need to do three things:
1. Stay on your guard and watch out for any suspicious behaviour from the other players;
2. Act natural and do your best to complete your missions as fast as possible;
3. Most importantly, don’t forget the golden rule: if another player says “Guess What?”, never, ever say “What”.

Challenge mode: Same rules but this time you gotta get every single mission, fail even one and it’s all over for you. If you wrongly accuse someone of tricking you, they show you their cards and you instantly lose the game (you can’t tell other people their missions btw.) be the last player standing or impressively complete all 6 missions to win!

I bought this at the Essen Spiel Fair 2018 (the biggest board game convention of the world in the City Essen in Germany). I like the concept of the game and there are many different missions in the game so you don't get through the game to quickly.
Great game for family and friends.

Looking back on this game it kind of has Among Us vibes of trying to be stealthy.
This game sounds amazing! Wish I could play it, but most people here don't speak English :C And I haven't seen it in Spanish.

@@evasvdr4077 solo haría un poco más lento el inicio, si ya tienen anotadas las traducciones, se consultan como si fueran las cartas. Intentaré jugar así porque no todos mis amigos saben inglés, veré qué tal resulta!
@@evasvdr4077 Actualización: ya lo jugué con mis amigos y no todos saben inglés. Les dije que usaran Google translate y con eso fue suficiente para comenzar a jugar. Solo una vez me preguntaron por una palabra que no se tradujo bien, pero de ahí en más el juego fue el mismo para todos. Te recomiendo que lo hagas así.

I'd love a way to play this with very large groups, say 50 people. How would you keep track of Nailed it and Failed it?
A shared Google spreadsheet maybe!
Is there any repercussions If someone confronts you and it wasnt a mission if not then there should be because then they could call you put for everyting

Good look trying calling out on everything. I assume it doesn't count calling out something someone didn't even do yet, even if it had that card.
Also, if there were a repercussion, everyone would constantly try to do something they wouldn't actually have a card of, it just becomes a chaotic guessing game.

What happens if you are playing with captain obvious who fails 4 missions and can therefore can succeed in a maximum of 2 missions and no longer win the game?
Guess you win. Sorry your competition isn't up to scratch. I'm hoping my marriage survives my first game. :)
What is the rule for if someone asks if its part of the game but they are wrong?
There's no penalty for incorrectly calling someone out. This was an intentional bit of game design, as it would change the entire way it was played.
If there was a penalty, you’d end up with loads of players acting strangely on purpose, in order to try and bait a false accusation from someone. Although this could be a funny mechanic to include, it’s not how we wanted the game to be played, as it sort of ruins the subtlety that makes Don’t Get Got so much fun.

If you're being nice then yes you can replenish, otherwise you're out of the game!

What's the point of the black "guess what" card? If someone replies "what" then you earn a mission point? So all you need is to pass two more then?
Yup! It's a tricky one to pull off though as everyone knows about it.

i'm thinking this could be fun for if you live in a house of two people (roomates, partners, siblings, parent/child) you could play it slowly over the course of a week

You lose I think
What about if this game lasts for a month or a year?????
You decide how long it goes on for. If no one has won by the end of your time limit, the person with the most completed missions wins.
