I like that comment very much. That is a great interpretation. Gorguts Obscura made me feel similarly in places, but this takes it further with the jazz orchestration giving it a full circle feel. Decadence to downfall.
Yeah, I love their whole 1920's/1930's Art Deco style that they've got going on. It reminds me of the film Metropolis (1927) and the video game Bioshock.

Im glad someone commented this band in some random metal meme video. I always love when metal bands incorporate instruments that are not traditionally "belonging" to the genre. I've also been getting more into jazz over the past 2 years. I especially love doom jazz. Bands like "Bohren & Der Club of Gore" and "The kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble" are two of my favorite. I love this style of jazz. It has a very gloomy dreadful vibe but it also has this effect of being beautiful and relaxing.. it's great!
These boys must be big Stanley Kubrick fans. Getting some wild Eyes Wide Shut influence in this. Plus the Bassist has a Clock Work Orange sticker on his bass. That Taxi Driver sticker is dope.
I don't know if i liked it or not but i was definitely intrigued. Though I really enjoyed the part toward the end with the smooth horn over the chaotic black instrumentals. The contrast between the two is a really interesting sound. Not something I'd listen to everyday but I'm glad i heard it and there's bands pushing the envelope.
I love Jazz and was obsessed with Black Metal for most of my 20s so I still appreciate it and listen to my favorites when the mood hits. This band is pretty damn amazing and extremely refreshing, I love this sound they have created. It's almost like Miles Davis or John Coltrane were possesed by Satan 😄 and I mean that in a positive way!
This whole band is just another level, I love their bassists, he writes grooves that are out of this world, I love how each member is in their own zone, but together the cacophony is utterly sublime.
sweet to my ears, a beautiful blend of everything i love, atmosphere and talent. something that brings out feelings i have trouble expressing in my every day life.
Holy shit, didn’t expect it at all. Hahaha I was thinking a jazz kind of ghost but instead a full blown black metal! I guess i havent heard all subgenres of metal. I wasn’t disappointed at all hearing them.
Это шедевр! Атмосфера зашкаливает, прям в зоне очутился! Да, да прямо в S.T.A.L.K.E.R. и в реальной! Кучу раз уже переслушал и буду слушать! Группа - открытие для меня!

me too, it's like a fusion of my two favorite genres ever. Love them
Their drip is incredible. I think my grandfather would have loved the jazz trumpet.
Drip?!!!
the drip is absolutely immaculate
slang for stylish clothing/costume I think. Basically saying they're dressed well.@@TomDantzig
They succeeded in creating that 70’s horror film vibe.
I would rather say they are more akin to early 1920/1930 - something close to movie like metropolis (somebody pointed it out already)
@@Krimson5pride You're right, I get a more of an Art Deco vibe from them, and that became more prevalent outside of France during those years
As a classical musician, who also loves metal, ive never been so intrigued by a band. This has the vibe of Scriabin's "Mysterium" in a way.
this is my favorite band now, dont change your sound guys, you are amazing
No hey ignore this guy! Hey you guys! You should incorporate more cowbell! Maybe bring in a yodeler!
