My brother did that. He quit heroin all alone. He didn't want help. His wife said she was leaving and taking the kids. When my brother knew he would lose his family he quit. He even quit smoking and drinking. He is happily married to her today. He said if Robert Downey Jr. can do it so can I. My brother has been sober and drug free for years. I quit also on my own. Michael is right you have to want it. I know it is not easy and some people need help but in the end you yourself have to want it. Trust me it is not worth it. Ruins your life.

Had a bad Friday night and decided I'm done. Can't do this anymore. That was April of 1993. I'm happy to say that April of 2024 was my 31 years clean and sober. Did it all on my own without one relapse.
