Same, I live in an abusive house and watching these always makes me feel better. Like one day, i will get to live in that cute tiny apartment by myself and be so so happy.
First off I am a fan lol just literally binge watched all your videos lol I love how you are and how chill you are and hope nonething but the best for you.....I do have a q though because I am too working on my degree to get to korea👏🏽 but I want to know does the area you live in determines how your apartment will look? because I see youtubers in seoul apartmenta is smaller and the further out you out the bigger and sometimes even better they are because I want to be close to the beach but also close to Itaewon and then close to seoul which I know is not possible but I can dream lol any advice??
aww, thank you so much! 💛 honestly, it’s completely random. not all apartments are the same, and it depends on whatever apartment your school picks out. so some people in jochiwon have smaller apartments than i do, some may have more space, some have elevators, etc. it’s honestly random. haha the major advice i would give is to just do as much research as you possibly can. ask people that live in these areas how they like it/don’t like it, youtube, google, etc. also knowing that there’s more to korea than just seoul. depending on where you live, seoul can easily be a train ride or bus ride away :)
@@heyitsanne Thank you for responding but yea I do not want to live in seoul that close the city is not something I want lol but I absolutely hate the country so I'm just trying to think you know....Also I have 2 more years of school left sadly and I am just so ready to leave and enjoy life and be able to do me finally. How where you able to just wait it out the way you did? I mean I work at a daycare and it does help me keep my mind off of it for a few seconds lol but then I look outside and see a plane and am like ohhh I can't wait to get on that you know it's very annoying having to wait it out till I graduate
it is hard haha, especially when you see people living that life you’re looking forward to on youtube and instagram. it wasn’t easy, but constantly reminding myself what i’m working towards and making sure i’m doing everything right and prepared to know other options and backup plans incase one doesn’t work out is what i did. and also enjoy my time/life because if i really DO end up leaving to korea, i want to enjoy my family and friends and home as much as i can
Hey girl! I noticed that you mentioned in a previous video that you originally planned for Daejeon but changed to Sejong. Just curious about why you switched? Thanks for the informative videos! I applied and awaiting my interview (this week) for Spring intake. :)
a lot of people were putting daejeon as their preference during my intake, and i didn’t want to risk being placed in an area i didn’t want so i switched to sejong. i’m veryyyyy lucky i got the school i have now, but sometimes i do wish i still stuck with daejeon haha
Really love this apartment,Im applying next year once I graduate so I'm just researching different areas in Korea. Did you apply early?cause I've seen that placement is hard
This is really amazing 😍 did you experience any of the unexpected when moving in? I've heard of people moving in their first month with just enough to get by, and then they're askes for a ridiculous deposit to actually use the apartment.
thank you! i didn’t experience anything like that. in the sejong contract, there was no mention on paying a security deposit. i know other cities did, though (i can’t remember them though, sorry!)
Love your appartment except that they placed your fridge sooooo far from your kitchen! That seems so odd to me Edit: also, love your slippers where did you buy them? And lastly did you get your teaching certificate online? If you did which site did you get it from? I'm looking for online tefl/tesol courses but I don't know which ones are the most trustworthy. So far I've looked into tefolcourse.net and tefl.org
thank you! when i got to the apartment, the fridge was actually where the bed is. i hated the initial layout so i moved everything around lol. if there was space in the kitchen, i would have put it there. i bought my slippers online on gmarket. also i’m a teacher in the usa. since i have a teaching license, i didn’t need to get a tefl. sorry :(
@@heyitsanne oh darn, but whao you're a teacher in the us? How different is it between teaching in Korea vs the US? From students, to your colleagues, dress code, and do you buy your own slippers for work or are slippers already supplied there?
so sorry for replying so late, not sure why i didn't get notified! hmmm i may have do a video on this haha. but it's a lot different, and yes i wear slippers here in korea (not in usa)
there is a tv on the white stand! it’s pretty small though, so you probably didn’t realize it was a tv haha. i only turned it on like 3 times in the year i lived there because everything was in korean lol
@@heyitsanne Very mellow. Your accent doesnt come up on tv that often, at least not here in the UK. :) btw you look so much different without your glasses, what are Korean designer glasses like?
i used copyrighted music, so unfortunately there are parts of the video with audio missing 😭 i hope you can still enjoy the video :)
gosh it's sooo cute ~ sometimes when i get discouraged about my life i watch these tours to remind myself what is possible for my future
I agree :)
It's nice to have some encouragement
@Jennie In Michigan OKAY, rude lol. Anyways, I live in Korea now (:
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I agree with you...lm just left with 1year to graduate and things are getting pretty tarf but watching these videos keep me motivated

These videos are really inspirational, they just encourage you to go on an adventure, my dream is to one day teach and live in Korea.

@@heyitsanne do you have a jochiwon tour?? I can only find old videos on the place
I love your videos, they're very relaxing to watch
thank you! 😊
check your washer because a lot of youtubers haven't noticed that their Korean washer can also dry the clothes lol :)
i’ve checked, and my co-teacher helped translate all the buttons for me lol. thank you though!
This apartment is sooooo nice!! I'm going to Chungbuk for the Fall intake so i'd love to have an apartment like that but I probably won't haha
congratulations, and thank you! honestly, it’s all so random so you never know haha
I'M VISITING THIS SUMMER. BE READY FOR ME. 🤣😂😘

i knowwww, and yes i put sejong as my preferred location
Maybe u can get a mattress pad for your bed to make it more comfy 🤗
i actually did buy one, but it’s not good at all haha. i’m planning on getting a memory foam pad 🙂

Lovely apartment.i gringed a lot at so much stuff though since I am such an organization freak
lol sorry, i’m an organized mess 😭😅
Hey gul thank for the video . Where did you buy those hangers?I love them

I smell jealousy?!! Oh, it's coming from me.
I might have to incorporate that concept of multiple house slippers 👀

thank you!
Did you buy the bed frame from Gmarket as well? do you by chance have the link for it?
it was already in the apartment
I'd be happy in this place too
Yours is definitely bigger compared to the others I’ve seen. Is it because you are in the city?
Love your videos ❤️
thank you! and i’m actually living in a small town. other teachers i know in this town have smaller apartments
@@heyitsanne alright
you have such a beautiful voice
Did you buy your shower filter in Korea or did you bring it with you?
Brandi C. i bought it in korea online on gmarket (link in description 🙂) you can buy it in person in stores or online
Soo cute!! Miss you lots 💕💕💕💕
i miss y’all 😭
I see that Beto pin 🤟🏼👏🏼👏🏼

texas :)

Do they allow smokers
it would be best to not mention it in the application
Much wow
much cool
What is g market
gmarket is an online shopping site koreans use. both gmarket and coupang are basically like korea's versions of amazon lol
I love your vidz but can't hear you, please can you speak louder or you can get attachable mics for your cam
sure, thanks for the feedback :)
Girl..so do you just stare at yourself when you shower?
i mean... where else do i look? lmao
@@heyitsanne lmaooo that would turn me on 😜
Wait hold up. There’s no actual shower shower ?!!!! Holy crap.
no, most asian bathrooms are wet room style, which means your shower is just a shower head and the entire bathroom gets wet
