Great episode. It was so funny how you found bug after bug, and it concluded in taxing your people 100% tax rate, giving you instant 2000-3000 db which literally put me on the floor laughing.
Ahhh Men-Nefer... Its one of those cities that you never really forget. It's always that one city that you will trade with in so many missions its so hard to forget about it lol
For me it was the name of the pharaoh, it was one of those names that felt silly to my 8 year old brain when I first played the game all those years ago hor-ahAAAAA
I have completed the game and I love it It has the cleopatra expansion as wel I really hope that ceaser 3 get an remastered version as well it's mine favorite
I don't have time to play or watch others play games anymore but I'm still subscribed as I find your calm and natural demeanor as opposed to the perpetual screeching and growling of other streamers very refreshing. I wish you would play more arena shooters though :P
I really am enjoying the new Pharaoh video's Zakh. Also when you raised the taxes to 100%, I thought of that Futurama meme where Fry hands over the money.
You may already have discovered it yourself since you recorded this a week ago. But in case you, like me, get tired of clicking +/- to change values and frustrated that you can't hold down your mouse button to change it, the fields are editable. So you can just click and type in the amount of tax you want to pay or the amount of goods you want trade/store.
39:10 - If I'm gonna bail the country out, I will have to raise taxes. But in my speech, I'd like to avoid calling it a 'painful emergency tax'. - What about 'colossal salary grab'?
Glad to see forced walkers are still a thing, this time as a feature! I never tried using those, but i think i will every now and then to switch things up :D
That part about fire and collapse, I think it means that if the risk is greyed out, it means that the building safe from it, but if it's coloured then it means that that risk can happen.
I would like to see the favour-flavour pop-ups return sometime, maybe in a more discrete way so they don't get mixed with the warning ones. I just loved noticing the occasional 'People love you' banner pop up from time to time.
Love the video Zak make the most of an easy quick mastaba build because I'm on rostja now ware you have to build pyramid complex, small pyramid and sphinx hours of keeping balance between population and jobs so the city doesn't fall apart keep up the great videos peace and love.
Haha I remember those yeah. I never used the fast monument setting in the original game, so I'm used to long monument build times. Glad you're enjoying it!
@@GamerZakh just a quick heads up you can delete the kingdom main road but you will get hundreds of warning messages in the middle of your screen until you connect it again thank god for roadblocks😂 thanks for the reply to my earlier comment your a 🌟🌟

Is this to give walkers straight passage past as many houses as possible? Some more advice on management of housing spaces would be welcome. Great help, Zakh.
Would be nice if they had paradox (EUIV, Victoria etc)-style notifiers at the top of the screen, instead of pop-ups. But then again pop-ups are such a 90s-00s type of thing, so it helps with the nostalgia XD
Awesome to watch and see if I did anything wrong with my city. I would love to see ctrl r becomes build road, ctrl h to build houses I had a bug on this mission when all my papyrus and breweries stop making things, I deleted rebuilt and it worked These videos are extremely helpful for a new at this game
Ah yes. This was the mission I learned that my old strategy of making my creditors wish they were never born isn’t going to fly. I also was under the 550 amount needed to open the trade route. I think that’s a bit… annoying but it did make me have to try new strategies. You also can’t hold festivals while you’re in debt which is a bit more reasonable.
Very helpful! I've been stuck on this one. I'm confused as to why it has the ferry landing and bridge in the menu if you can't place it anywhere but now I know to just ignore it haha

@GamerZakh I have played several chapters of the campaign and I will say it is a very faithful and clean execution of a modern tilted mill style game. That said I think personally I was hoping for a bit more of an evolution rather than a copy of the old tilted mill style city builder game.
I literally just finished watching Nekhen^^ In my own playthrough i´m up to Abedju so far, but i still like watching you play^^ (btw, ingame its pronounced Abjedu, is that a mistake?)
They've kept the original voice acting in, not sure if that'll be permanent or they're just waiting to see if it's worth a redub. So if the spelling was corrected later, there's nothing short of a full redo of the advisor's voice to be done about pronunciation fixes.
Hi Man, glad to have found your channel. I tried playing this level twice on the old version of the game and my kingdom rating keeps dropping and prevents me from beating this mission. Besides saving up and sending the kingdom tribute gifts, what else can I possibly do? Thanks!
Hello Zakh, thanks for all of your videos! You once answered me very kindly on another question and so I would love to have your advice again. I finally decided to buy a PC laptop for gaming and obviously I dowloaded Pharaoh + Cleopatra on Steam. Unfortunately after a couple of days of running smoothly, it now crashes when launched (i hear the sound but no display) I know you are not an IT support service 😂 but I am getting desperate as steam customer service is not responding. Were the jugglers and musicians forced walkers or just destination walkers? They would've made the whole trip if you placed them on the close side of the road where the granaries are right?
Not sure why there are bad reviews on this game on Steam. I am enjoying my experience so far with minor issues that I would expect to be patched later. They do need to add the ability to rotate and a mini-map.

Haha because there's a bug where it won't allow you to open a trade route if you don't have enough money, while also this mission not allowing you to make any money lol. So I use my experience to make thousands with no consequence. Many just took that as a loss condition and restarted.
